The worst customer service I've ever received

I’ve had an extremely poor experience with Salary Finance. I first contacted them on 21st May to update my bank details and received no response at all. Today I was told my account is now in arrears, purely because my emails were ignored, and that this could affect my credit score.

When I called to resolve it, I was told I “should have phoned” despite explaining that I am autistic and rely on written communication due to a processing disorder. I did call today, but was then told my direct debit couldn’t be set up and that I needed to provide extra proof of banking, something I was never informed of in any of my previous attempts to contact them.

The advisor I spoke to was dismissive, unempathetic, and blamed me for delays caused by their own failure to meet their stated 2–5 day response time. I was then told a complaint could take up to 8 weeks to be acknowledged, which is unacceptable given the potential impact on my credit file. The advisor said she'd sent me an email on how to complete payment, she didn't do this.

This experience has left me feeling unsupported and that my accessibility needs were not taken seriously. I’ve never missed a payment before, and I’ve made every effort to resolve this, but the lack of communication and accountability has been incredibly disappointing.
