We were looking for ages to find a bar for our new garden bar, came across the custom wood company and what can I say, a brilliant experience from the first WhatsApp message to the bar being delivered with care and attention, have already had compliments about the bar and would highly recommend Summa and her team of woodworking magicians

Like many I paid for a bar then read the reviews online and I thought OMG what have I done! But I can honestly say I would and have done so recommend them to family and friends, from the start Summa kept me updated on WhatsApp and email. It took 4 weeks to arrive from Somerset to Outside Glasgow, The delivery guy drove all the way up doing multiple drops on his way and got to me at around 7pm at night (very nice but tired guy), I was his last for the night before he carried on up north the next day. The bar and padded stools are very well made and the walnut paint job I went for was just as described. Thanks Custom Wood Company and I hope to do business with you again.

Bar arrived today, driver was amazing, helped lift it in to the hut.

We ordered a bar for our house and found the process to be quick and simple. The team listened to what we wanted and the 'look' we wanted to achieve. We found this company on facebook and had admired the work for a while so were really keen to order. Yes there was a slight delay but we arent ordering from ikea, we expected this. They are independent and everything is bespoke. We were pleased with our Bar and would not hesitate to order again. Be mindful that this is not a mass produced large organisation, its a family small business. There can be a slightly longer wait but would wait that in a heartbeat rather than receive mass produced goods to a lower standard. Great products, great communication and one happy customer!

My wife and I bought a playhouse last year from this company, the play house leaks like a sieve . It's unsafe for my 5 year old boy. They use just standard interior pine timber for a playhouse that lives out side also didn't even put it on a base. When I asked them to sort it her carpenter said that if you do anything she would badmouth my driving instructor business. Without even meeting me. I asked them to put it write sending them photos of all the leaks. I just got fobbed off. Avoid this company at all cost.

Firstly and honestly….had to wait longer than expected for deliver and did start to panic (looking at negative reviews). We can now honestly say that we should never have been concerned. Our bar, stools and barrel table all look fantastic in our garden pub. We spend hours in there as a family and our doggos love it too.

There may be delays (all human after all). But if you allow extra time and realise that this is a small business trying to do their best (realised this after talking to delivery driver), you need not worry. Happy ordering and enjoy your purchase. You won’t regret it! Thank you one again x

I can’t thank this company enough for the amazing bar we received for our home. We absolutely love it. We had our doubts at the beginning when we placed our order because of some of the shocking reviews we seen on here but we decided to actually speak to the owner of the business direct. Who couldn’t have been more helpful. The service we received was outstanding. The bar is gorgeous exactly as we asked for. We wanted one of the shelves made bigger and it was made exactly as we wanted the colour we chose was walnut and we asked for the Glenfiddich logo. Please if you’re thinking of ordering, do it! You won’t be disappointed. Don’t let the nasty reviews put you off because you’re missing out. We were kept updated through out, even down to the delivery. We live in Glasgow, Scotland which is miles away from where it was made but we were told what date
it was going to arrive. It was delivered by a lovely man who couldn’t have been any more helpful, calling us when he was 20 minutes away so we could be ready for him. As you can tell we are so happy with the whole service we received from start to finish and have recommended the company to all our family & friends

Absolutely love my new home bar, the company have been such a pleasure to deal with, everything easy and perfect. I was speaking to the team on WhatsApp and changed my order a couple of times last minute and nothing was too much trouble, lovely people, right through to ordering, to creating, to delivering, now I have the exact bar I wanted and keep getting compliments on it! Just in time for the football season starting!!

Avoid! Avoid! I dealt with The Custom Wood Company earlier this year when ordering the Bar Bundle. The finished products were awful. Words cannot describe how bad they were. I didn’t even have the delivery chap take the whole order off the lorry as I could already see how bad the items were. If I could rate The Custom Wood Company with a zero, I would.

From start to finish this has been a disaster! Made order after speaking to office to ensure we would get delivery within 3 weeks. This was not carried out and 5 weeks later our bar and stools were not built. I cancelled order and made other arrangements but am still awaiting refund nearly 3 months later. I have emailed and WhatsApp several times and still no refund. Today I have an email to say it will be processed but £45 less than my order. I have sent yet another email and WhatsApp to chase a full refund. I will contact VISA tomorrow to get them to get my refund. This company has no customer service

Beware of this company. They take your money and never deliver the item you have ordered. I have spent over 2k with this company. They ignore your calls and when you put a message on their Facebook page they quickly delete it. Sometimes they come back to you and if they do they make up an excuse to fob you off.

I noticed their Google reviews that they have conned other people out of their money.

Ordered two bar stools and a sign for my home bar in preparation for the Euros back in May and paid £90. It’s now mid August, the Euros are a distant memory and it still hasn’t arrived despite numerous chases by email, text and WhatsApp - most messages go unanswered and I have wasted so much time I have now demanded a full refund. I do wonder if I’ll ever see my £90 again. My advice? AVOID THIS COMPANY

UPDATE: I have now taken this appalling company to the Small Claims Court.

UPDATE: The reply below from Custom Wood Company is another lie. I have NOT RECEIVED A REFUND and my case is still with the small claims court. Pathetic!

Ordered bar 20th May 2024, what was delivered was wrong size and incomplete.
After many messages requesting that it be collected for refund it was picked up 27th June and I have been awaiting a refund since.
My what’s app messages aren’t answered and I have been blocked from messaging on Facebook. Any advice on how to get a response or refund from this company would be appreciated.

Paid extra for a shelve and J shape what turned up was a L shape no shelve and no neon light and I am just ignored on what app. Not worth the extra money you pay very disappointed

Lovely and helpful staff. Beautiful bar, bar stools and barrel. Delivered in good time with very friendly and accommodating driver who couldn't have done more for us! Beautiful furniture, so happy with our purchases would 100% recommend.

Ordered the bar and barrel table set. Very reasonably priced, arrived on time and communication from Summa and the team was brilliant throughout the process.
Would highly recommend, looks brilliant in my pub shed.
