The customer service department did not …

The customer service department did not exercise the expected service and did not stop me in my (expressed) intentions of letting a friend run in stead of my injured brother - I therefore stood with booked transport and hotel-nights for a friend that was not able to run due to terms of buying that were very relevant regarding my issue - but that the service department withheld in their answer and instead gave an anbigious answer.
