Incorrect part

I ordered the Vet Pick Up Truck for my son for Christmas. When we built it we realised one of the parts was incorrect. I have emailed and messaged on instagram on multiple occasions since Christmas and my messages are either being ignored or the response is that they are waiting for the part to arrive (even though the item is still in stock on their website). After being very patient I have since asked for a refund because the issue isn’t being resolved and my son still can’t play with his Christmas present. Sadly, I still haven’t received my refund or the missing part so I’ve had to go to trading standards. I would definitely not recommend buying from this company and I certainly will not be buying anything else in the future.

Here is a long one.

ANOTHER UPDATE: after another month, I finally received what was supposed to be the correct part AGAIN. And yep, they sent another wrong part. After clarifying and using their website part photos in emails several times, even themselves on their end, they sent a totally different part. We are now 5 months into this nightmare and zero form of compensation. This has to be the most incompetent business I’ve ever had experience with. In fact, never have I ever experienced anything like this. If it didn’t cost an arm and a leg, I would have taken my loss. But this is simply ridiculous.

UPDATE: We are now over a month since I shared this review and I yet to receive the part. Once again, was offered nothing but apologies and they have to reach out to the 'team' to get an update on tracking status. At this point, I am contemplating reaching out to BBB. I literally spent hundreds of dollars on their products and it's been over three months.

Here is a long one.
I placed my first order late November. I was notified that a shipping label was created and given an ETA. Due to holidays, I was nor upset or shocked when it did not arrive on the ETA, however after a week past the ETA date, I noticed in my account that the package was never received by UPS. I contacted Schleich to ensure it had even been shipped out as we were nearing Christmas at this point. I was told they would reach out to Warehouse and let me know. A week passes, I have not heard anything and we are now two weeks from Christmas. I contacted UPS and they said they did NOT have the package. I called Schleich once again and was told they would escalate it and I should hear back in 24 hours. 48 hours pass- still NOTHING. I called again and was told that they would contact warehouse again. I told them no, and then asked them to cancel the order or send out a new one as it was evident my package never made it out of warehouse. I was told that they could not send out a new one because the item is out of stock. They offered a different set (much cheaper I would add) and I said no, I specifically wanted what I ordered. They said they would cancel the order and let warehouse know and that I could expect a refund in the next 5 to 10 business days. Perfect, I then ordered the set through a different party. A few days later, I receive email that the item I had cancelled shipped. I immediately contacted them and stated that this order was cancelled, and I had already placed another order through someone else. Not only that, I was told it was OUT OF STOCK. I was told I could return the product once it arrives. Another inconvenience for me and now out of more money than planned. Fast forward to a week before Christmas and I began assembling one of the other sets I purchased. It was poorly packaged and pieces were broken. I decided that I could live with these flaws but was greatly disappointed. I then came across a manufacturer defect that prevented complete assembly of the $125 set. I immediately emailed Schleich and asked if they provided replacement parts. They said yes and I gave them all of the information requested including pictures. I was made aware that due to high volumes, it could take up to two weeks for the part to ship. Figures. A month passes. No update - no part. I reach out once again. Given the same response 'so sorry' and that they'd reach out to warehouse. A week later the part arrives. They sent the WRONG part. I email them once again and sent pictures of the wrong part they had sent me. Imagine the frustration of spending hundreds of dollars, failed communication internally between Schleich's departments, and the only thing they can do is keep apologizing without making anything right for the customer.
Now for the review of quality. As stated above, parts were broken when it arrived new in box. Small details like snapped little pieces on hooks, the mirror on the hauler, etc. The animals themselves are very durable. The sets such as the hauler and barn- VERY flimsy and if not careful, will break. Pieces constantly fall off with light play. I have never experienced anything like this with toy producers, and I will never spend another dime on Schleich again. For the cost of their products and lack of customer service, it is not worth it.

Amazing customer service

I contacted schleich recently as I had came across a retired playset which included a trailer and car, however, the vehicle door hinge/clips were missing.
I emailed them to ask if there was a chance of purchasing the spare parts, and not only did they offer to send the parts free of charge, they also refused to let me pay postage costs too!
Amazing company, really made my little girls day. Thank you!

Lovely company, with a BIG heart

Our daughter is absolutely obsessed with horses! For her birthday a few years back, she got a Schleich horse, and now she has stables, play sets, arenas and everything else you can imagine—she has it all! Schleich is a fantastic product with great designs and imaginative play, but what really sets them apart is their attention to detail. Our daughter was having a blast with her Horse Advent Calendar, but she noticed a couple of doors were missing the items inside. I quickly sent an email to Schleich customer services, and they sent her a horse gift instead. It’s rare to see businesses treat their customers with such care these days, but Schleich really showed they were kind, thoughtful and caring, proving that our daughter’s happiness was more important to them than anything.

We can’t recommend them enough. Thank you again to all the team who helped make our daughter so happy this morning.

Eldrador Master Cave low quality

Got Eldrador Master Cave: Smashrador for our son, and it has been a very frustrating experience with a badly printer manual in very dark colors making it hard to read, parts that seem very low quality and hard to assemple, and the whole cave seems unstable. Not what you would expect from Schleich. Would return the whole thing if it wasn’t unpacked.

Poor quality and paint job

Quality of the figures have significantly decreased as each years pass , the prices are now way too high for this quality , the paint looks cheap , the plastic look cheap , some models are not realistic (those fluorescent dinosaurs???? ) some figures even looks like toys you would’ve got out of a 2$ farm animal tube from chinese store , its not worth anymore

I asked to have address updated. They refused even when it hasn't shipped yet. I asked for it to be cancelled and a refund. Won't cancel it. Basically once you place an order that's it. They won't touch it. Horrible customer service.

Poor Customer Service

The quality of the toys is generally very good but we had a problem with a toy and have contacted customer service. I supplied picture and receipt in September and still have not received a satisfactory response. Customer Service is shockingly bad.

I was making an online purchase order…

I was making an online purchase order for almost $200. It included a promotional bundle to save 35% on a Harry Potter bundle. Everything worked when the discount in my cart suddenly went away. I did both phone and chat with customer service for over an hour with no resolution. They didn't believe me unless I provided screenshots. When I provided screenshots they said it wasn't working on their end and they don't know what happened but are unable to fullfil my order. What a terrible experience and waste of time. Avoid buying from those business and just stick to Amazon and better hassle free companies

Awful customer service

Awful customer service my item came faulty and missing pieces I contacted customer service and still no replacement or refund. I have emailed 4 times and even contacted the Facebook page and still no resolution. This was purchased a year ago absolutely shocking. Appalling Customer Service

My son got a schleich Volcano set in May, parts were broken, I sent videos and photos of the parts, at least 6wks between any email reply and it is now October and I am still awaiting the broken part! One of my last emails I sent I outlined how outrageous and poor my experience has been and I recieved a generic "sorry your experience hasn't been what you expected" response.
I have never had such a poor response from a company, and its a toy company! My son has asked repeatedly when his toy will be fixed and I cannot answer him. I will never buy their products again, awful company, selling overpriced toys with no concern or care for the customers. Just out to rob people it seems.

As a birthday present we bought a set…

As a birthday present we bought a set for my daughter. One part was missing. Since 17.1.2025 I waited for a response until 26.5.2025, until I finally got a response, that they will ship the missing part. Now is 3.9.2025 and I haven't received the part yet. Still waiting for it since 7 and half months of the service request.

I was expecting a bit more quality from Schleich, as they are well known brand. And my daughters really like Schleich products, but I am very afraid to buy anything again.

Good experience based on my first order

I have placed one order for animal toys from Schleich from them and had a good experience. I'd buy from them again. Their prices seem to be better than when buying the items on Amazon, which presumably are marked-up by resellers.

Appalling customer service

Appalling customer service. They didn't ship my parcel even though I ordered items a month ago. When I enquired multiple times I was getting nowhere and then they told me it was delivered which it wasn't. I've asked for an update so many times and to speak with a manager or complain and I have still got knowhere. They really don't care. I will never order from Schleich again. One star is too much!

One star is too much!! Our kids christmas present was broken and we send reclamation to Schleich. It took 6 months to tell us, they do not have spare parts for toy anymore. And all we got was -20% code to buy more broken toys. And that -20% is nothing, because delivery to Finland would cost much more. We are never ever gonna buy Schleich products.

Bad costumer service

I filled out a form on Schleich’s website in January because my son’s Christmas present was unable to be assembled because of wrong parts. I wrote several times to get an update and every time I get the answer, that my enquiry is being processed and they ask for patience. It’s been almost six months and now we don’t have any more patience! I can’t explain that bad costumer service to my son, whose Christmas present is still not here as promised by Schleich. I was told that I could expect to receive my replacement order within 2-4 weeks. That’s a LONG time ago.
