Experienced a blowout on a new tyre, Schwalbe G-One R, which looked like a potential manufacturing issue. Got on to Schwalbe customer support about it, as it is a potential safety issue for other cyclists. Got an email back saying I needed to deal with the retailer on it. I wasn't contacting them looking for a refund or replacement, just to warn them of a potentially serious safety issue with one of their products, but they had no interest. While I've been using and recommending Schwalbe for over 20 years, I won't be again. Very disappointing attitude.

Racing road tyre developed huge cracks less than 2 years old. Customer service could not care less...

i've just buyed a pair of Marathon Efficiency. After installing i have observed many visual manufacturing issues (i use Schwalbe from 2010, none of the other 8 pairs, more cheaper, looked so horrible). But besides ugly visuals, the tires are also different in design, more physical patterns on one and transparent band bleeds. looks horrible, for any price, especially for 100 euros a pair. And, of course, nobody answers mails...

Bought two Fat Frank 26 x 2.35 because I had good luck with a past purchase of Big Apple tires 10 years ago. The Fat Frank whitewalls overlap the tread and the reflective sidewall flows up and down. I don’t understand what’s happened to quality control. Never again!

I bought a bicycle tire that was 1/2 to large to fit on my 500 watt ebike wheel Schwalbe will not refund my money saying the tire was mounted on the wheel and is not safe to be resold this is unacceptable the tire was not mounted it was loose over the rim 1/2 inch to big loose fit no tools were used only my hands I want a refund

I got a pair of Schwalbe Marathon Plus tyres (700c by 38mm) for my bike and after over 700 kilometres I am still happy.

They say these are puncture resistant, and so far that has been the case for me, which is crucial for my commute.

Fingers crossed I will get many more miles out of them.

I have recently bought two tyres (Schwalbe Durano Plus 25x622 and 28x622). However they are practically impossible to mount with normal tire mounting tools on my rims (Alexrims 622x19). Of course the rim is manufactured within some tolerances, but here I am in no doubt that the inner diameter of my tyres are too small.
After having broken three tire mounting tools and two tubes I gave up. Apparently the tolerances in the Schwalbe production and elasticity of the tire do not always combine to a practical setup, where tubes can be replaced on the road. In case it is not possible to mount a tire on the road, I think the tyre is of no use.

I have bought the famous combination of Schwalbe tires of Racing ray Addix front and Racing Ralph Addix rear. They said that it’s the combination that is used in the XC racing.
But honestly my Maxxis Ikon 3C were much faster and were not as noisy as this pair.

It’s good that I bought them with the deal at half the price.

You would think tyres wouldn’t make much of a difference. How wrong I was!! I bought the Johnny Watts 365’s for my mountain bike as I fundamentally use mostly road & trails to ride. They are made specifically for urban e-bike riding & are whisper quiet. They also have reflective side walls. I’m super impressed as also I know they will make the battery more economical too. Great tyres.

Answers the email very quick i was impressed - then over the next few emails you realise they answer so fast because they offer no useful support - its anonymous reply's offering nothing - I can see how the company warrants such a low score - My two tyres now destined for the bin !

I had these tyres on my £2800 e bike, hub gear. 300 miles, 5 weeks later, flat rear tyre. Do not buy a bike with any Schwalbe tyres on. As I've proved if they can't do more than 300 miles, yet with Continental bike tyres can do 4000 miles puncture free, says it all. I'll be changing my tyres to Continental Gatorskin tyres.

About 25% of my Schwalbe tires failed during use (tread delaminated) I use my tires in very remote areas.

These tires were inflated to the correct pressure. It is a manufacturing defect, and I no longer trust the brand.

I tried to contact Shwalbe but to no avail. A waste of time and effort. I was looking to replace my worn ebike tyres which are marathon mondial Kevlar dd plus 47- 622 .. it seems no cycle shops stock them anymore.
I don’t think much of Shwalbe customer service.

Well, I've owned Marathon Plus 700x38c tyres for 15 years, and never had any problems with them.
In 2019 I purchase a replacement from a retailer and have done around 1,500 miles on these. They are still new, that they have the nobly bits on them.
In 2021 and 2022 I experience my first ever puncture, 2 thorns and 1 glass, quite small, I was surprise they got through the tyre.
Also these tyres were a nightmare to install on the rim, giving you piece of mind they would never come off.
However the new 2019 model was to easy to install.
Emailed Schwalbe UK, they responded as normal parsing the buck back to the retailer, for me to complain.
Well Schwalbe, very disappointed with your customer services. It would have costed you next to nothing in sending out a replacement for me to gain my confidence back, now you force this review to be published.

New tyres, inner tubes. All failed at every level. I thought they were a quality brand, but materials seem poor and have had problems. Disappointing

I love my schwalbe tires! They’re all I will run on my bikes because of their superior grip and durability. They really shine in Moab on sandstone and on loose over hard surfaces. I’ve also had a great experiences with their customer service.

This brand doesn't offer the promised level.
No buy recommendation from my side.

Schwalbe Lugano tyres - very short life caused by premature casing failure. This has happened twice now. Recently after only 3 months. I would recommend Vittoria for long life.

Really disappointed by this company. They are supposed to be an established, powerful brand but they treat their customers with so poorly. I bought a new tyre which developed a fault. I was treated with suspicion and disdain by their team. I bought from a different brand to keep me on the road while they messed me around
I will never spend money with Schwalbe again.

Bike tyre catastrophically failed. After a short time. Because i couldn't prove where I bought it from and provide the original receipt, Schwalbe were not interested in the slightest. I will never be buying their products again.
