Very poor service Can't get my deposit back....also no answer from Daljit
People's just becareful with this agency!!!

I have been trying to contact Daljit, Director of Scott Simonds, and he has not contacted back for many months. Extremely poor service.

WARNING
This company takes rent from tenants and does not pass on to landlords.
Also refused to return tenants deposits when I took properties out of their hands.
Was a great company when Mark was in charge but now being run by dishonest owners.
Lots of promises to return money owed but all comes to nothing.

Lots of similar bad reviews somehow seem to have disappeared from Truspilot!

BEWARE!

Requested a viewing on a rented property, after explained what me and my partner did for a living I never heard anything bad! The tone of the person dealing with us changed when they clearly thought we were not up to “there standards”. Clearly thought we aren’t good enough, shame they missed out on our hard earned money then!

Over years we have let properties through Scott Symonds and received good service but the situation has changed dramatically in recent months. They are managing agents for one of our properties and are collecting rent from the tenants but not forwarding that to us. We have complained many times over several months and told they will resolve this "soon". They now have received many thousands pounds rent but are retaining it. So they are taking the rent but not passing it to the landlords, blaming an administrative problem.

Debbie at Scott Symonds has been totally brilliant since I started dealing with Scott Symonds last year, first to buy our house and then to look at renting it out. She is unflappable, honest, efficient and a great communicator which has made everything much easier than it could have been. Dal has also been a pleasure to work with, polite, calm, knowledgable and not 'pushy'. All in all I would thoroughly recommend this estate agency.
