Waste of Time

Waste of Time! Always respected Honeywell, not any more, nearly 50 years in the alarm business and worst tech support ever, just not interested.
Telephone support busy, will call you back NO, get to tech support eventually the SAB listed on the Honeywell web site a Reason8 NO ONE can help with, did not even understand the simple question, yet more interested in the control, and that I was an installer. The Battery link shows on / off, or enable / disable, yet when on, battery charge light not on, and not self activating, link in the off position, the SAB operates, and charge light on. I might be old now, but that does not sound right to me. How can a company supply a product (ex ADE) without anyone who even knows anything about it. Last Honeywell product I will be purchasing.

Give SERIOUS consideration before using

I seriously would give HUGE consideration if your business is considering buying anything from this company because if you have a faulty part, they probably wont give a damn.

So, I have been emailing Honeywell (UK) for ONE YEAR now in connection with a faulty Xtralis component which went faulty 10 days into it's life.

Honeywell initially told me to send the faulty part in for repair to an independent repair centre who acknowledged receipt and said the item was beyond repair.

At this point, the contact at Honeywell left for a new job and after weeks of telephoning trying to find out the replacement person, I was then given an email address of the replacement member of staff.

I emailed..... Then I emailed again and got a response to "leave it with him" so that he could investigate.

Months went by and I chased and chased whilst EVERY SINGLE EMAIL was ignored.

Meanwhile, I am over £1,000 down on a part to which nobody seems to give a damn about even though I have an official returns number from Honeywell.

Having been trading for 29 years in the security industry in the UK, this is simply unacceptable. This must be the new "Mark of Respect" you get for being an NSI Gold company in the UK.
