Don't waste your time with SeeTec

Diabolical, like all the other reviews are clearly showing.
I filled out their form a few weeks ago, zero response. I was told by another organisation that they forwarded my application to SeeTec for them to support me and to give it 48 hours for a response to get onto their employment support programme. It's been well over 72 hours, no contact at all.

DON'T EVEN BOTHER WITH SEETEC, SEEK HELP ELSEWHERE.

Seetec sent through a viral-attack

Seetec's computers obtained a virus, as explained by my first business-advisor, and this had apparently knocked out all their laptops via their intranet at the Torbay office, and then another business-advisor flatly contradicted what he had said. He would know what a computer-virus is, and was definite.

I went on to receive a 'trojan' viral-attack which knocked out some of my CVs and also a five-month designed business-plan and which led to having to adjust the business structure and which cost money and also placed my business into a less sure and slightly off-kilter path.

Seetec did not run a transparent investigation, there was no communication and I was basically stonewalled from the truth.

Seetec is connected to the Ministry of Justice and hence why police-officers from Devon and Cornwall Police Constabulary managed to engage with Seetec in omission of regulatory procedure.

The virus was in fact deliberately sent from Seetec to my PC and this was in collaboration with D&C Police. It was distributed in league with my initial business-advisor, by a staff-member within their own IT-team. At the time, I had wished to obtain enough money that I could single out whichever the corrupt police-officers are, by way of the courts, and this would include a council-worker operating in the area of finance at Teignbridge District Council and I did make the mistake of mentioning this particular requirement for funding and so it would seem that this was the reason I was hacked (I know who they all are, now, and so my reasons for business are exclusive to matters of restitution).

Certain departments of the government, and the IOPC and the PSD (chuckle, chuckle) and many other relatable organisations out of region know who they all are and it is just a matter of time until the media and internal investigations make their way to Devon (look up 'corruption in the Met, since 2015' and you'll get the idea) - I don't have to do anything else apart from put up with being followed by their associates and their blackmailed gang-stalkers.

Seetec should be in prison and I am owed money and though I may never receive compensation, they will all end up in places they wish they weren't.

I did find the experience weird early on when Torbay Start-Up were exclaiming unprompted statements about how great it was that there was to be a new left-wing government and I thought it funny how my first business-advisor squirmed sheepishly when I mentioned Mi5 and their historic political battles.

Needless to say, HMRC and the managers at the nearby jobcentre did not investigate Seetec when I told them that a virus had come from Seetec's direction and so they are also not just undemocratic but anti.

Absolute sh!t show

Absolute sh!t show! Put our seetec (Barnstaple ) in the back of an industrial estate which is a pain in the ass to get to if you don’t drive… you waste bus money getting to it for just a 5 min appointment which could be done on the phone. I live a fair bit away and it is a waste of my time! All jobs they try and offer are jobs I can’t get to or can’t do due to having young children and no childcare. Then went to a job fair arranged by seetec only to be told a lot of employers aren’t taking on, apply online or you need to have a drivers license… basically jobs off indeed. Was a waste of time and money! Getting fed up with it!

It's not clear who is who

It's not clear who is who, probably intentionally. I'm seeing someone from Standguide, but I get emails from Seetec Pluss. They are pointless and not "tailored" at all. Just regurgitated information in a worse way. It feels like we and the website are guinea pigs for interns.

Edit: adding this to seetec.co.uk as this one is for .com

Horrendous

Horrendous, talks about his ex and present g/f and advises not to take courses that won't lead to employment as he wont get paid. Apparently they get a bonus for every person that finds and stays in work for more than x amount of weeks

No reliability and organisation, less help than the job centre

Absolutely AWFUL company that should not be working with the Job centre and HMRC because they provide even less support than the job centre. There is zero communication with your case worker outside of the meetings which are completely redundant. I had specific requirements to only work with Female case workers but they kept on changing them without telling me. They send you a text the day before your meeting asking if you have any questions and no matter how many times you message them they will not reply. I just had to made an hour round trip to a meeting to find my case worker not even there. There is no flexibility and if you need to change your appointment urgently they will not reply to you. These people couldn't organise a p*** up in a brewery. These are people who are supposed to be supporting you to create a long term career but they seem to just be a way to stop coming to the job centre if you have been unemployed for a longer period of time.

Zero effort from Employment Officers to…

Zero effort from Employment Officers to support people to find a job. It took 3 months for my officer to "review" my CV. That ment she uploaded it to an AI website and she copied the recommendations what the AI suggested. My officer knows that I have a bad back for being a carer for 20 years, yet she invited me for an Amazon warehouse "job fair". During the 6 months I've been with Seetec that was the only position my employment officer found for me. No trainings, no support, nothing.

What a disgrace!!

This appears to be an organisation skimming off public money by offering a recruitment agency style service, which in fact does nothing to get the out of work incumbents recruited into the 'job market'.

Every appointment I've had left me with the feeling that nothing was happening and I was simply attending to keep the organisations figures up. In fact, it is detrimental to my career to be going to these compulsory interviews. It leaves one with the feeling that their career prospects are non-existent.

There ought to be a genuine review of these types of third-party contracted agencies by government, but there never will be because everyone involved finds it all such a drag. And nobody can be bothered.

Also, to be told by the adviser that they 'know nothing' of the industry I'm looking for work in, illustrates that there is no participant development programme in action whatsoever! Like other reviewers have found, this organisation is wasting the time of jobseekers who obviously need some genuine support for their work and self-employment futures. What a disgrace!!

This needs to be lobbied in Parliament, if any thing is to be done about it.

Swindon office: Really supportive and encouraging

Really supportive and encouragement in droves. I went to all of the workshops available during my time with Seetec and they all helped remind me who I was and that I am capable, after my confidence was knocked badly following redundancy. They not only helped me seek work they organised job fairs, had a company come in who gave me interview clothes and accessories for free, and gave me interview coaching and mocks which have been invaluable. They also pay for your petrol and car parking which really helped, and can book and pay for upskilling training courses such as first aid etc.
A very positive environment to be in and I always felt better after having gone there.

ZERO Stars

There should be a zero rating available on Trustpilot.
The cotton shirts I ordered were 100% polyester. When they finally agreed to a full refund, I was told I would have to return the shirts, at my own expense, to an address in China.
This is just a scam.

Sarcastic “employment specialist” in Norwich Branch.

I was transferred by the NHS wellbeing service. Which were amazing to me just a shame my sessions ran out with them. What a horrible day I had with my first session with Seetec yesterday on 23rd July 2024. The “employment specialist”. Was straight up sarcastic. Completely untrained about mental health. I was told by her I didn’t have to be here as it’s just voluntary. What a thing to say to me. Their advertisement states giving people confidence. I left yesterday feeling the complete opposite. I felt dehumanised. She said to me I’m not getting signed up to the service unless I’ve made my mind on what job I want to do. Which I understood that but I said to her isn’t that the point in me coming here today to get the help & support on employment. I’ve had many previous jobs and experience but it made me so upset yesterday. Made me feel as if I was dumb. I’ve already filed a complaint hope it goes through to them. If there such a so called mental health service they shouldn’t be hesitating support for people. It’s just ridiculous.

Manager of Bury st Edmund’s who the hell employed her!

Bury st Edmunds office is awful. Granted some of the staff are nice but the manager is a bully, extremely rude and thinks she is better than everyone. Walks around like she owns the company, no love you are just employed although whoever did Employ you must have been crazy! I felt completely on offer being asked my personal life by a member of staff who called me darling and sweetheart throughout my interview whilst absolutely humming of BO! Terrible place I’d rather be sanctioned than ever go back.

WASTE

I have not perceived any interest in my actual needs or my situation. I am simply told that I am not meeting their expectations, but their expectations are not based on any kind of statistical analysis, they are instead goals based on Seetec's own numbers.

I get the impression that I am just a number and my role is to be on their books so that they can claim money from the government.

The office that I attend is small and the desks are too close together, no conversation is personal or private and even when I have asked to go somewhere more private, I was ignored and told not to worry about it.

Even if I choose to ignore their communications they keep booking appointments, calling, sending SMS messages, even going so far as to sending me snail mail.

Seetec is meant to be taking the stress off the Job Centre but all I see is a company that doesn't care about its clients and simply wants to make money regardless of whether they can add value or not. A complete waste of public money and the country would be better if this company did not exist.

Terrible programme

Terrible programme. Job centre are more helpful than these bloody sales people. They've offered me help and when I've taken part it turns out to be a waste of time. They're not out to help you, they are just reaching targets. And the office based in King's Lynn is okay but it's all open office!! they've asked personal questions like how much money I get monthly or how my mental health is. Nothing is private in there.

Never thought it's say this, but Job centre are more helpful and those appointments i actually like.

UPDATE - 2nd July today in my appointment I was told i would have a new advisor. I'm guessing because my now former advisor can't do anything to help me, yet this new advisor apparently can?! hmm seems strange to me. Also heard my new advisor having trouble with her client who was arguing. NOTHING IS PRIVATE!!

Practice what you preach

Seetec promote disability at work to companies who are interested in the disability confident scheme, part of the scheme is to offer an interview to anyone who fulfills the job criteria. However Seetec do not practice what they preach, I went to great effort to apply for a role and revealed my disability status, meeting and exceeding the criteria for the role, I was rejected without interview and told no feedback would be available.
