Poor service. Gave completely different price as to originally quoted not a fair business model at all. Save your time and Avoid.
Edited review after comment added by staff to try to justify such poor service . You get people in and interested drop offers then use poor excuses. you then have the audacity to argue back like you have provided a perfect service. You had to use the obd excuse as you had no other reason to drastically drop the price there is nothing wrong with the car you just are using rubbish equipment that you don’t know how to use. Rude sales people with bad attitude.
Don’t know why you need to mention keepers on here the paper work was clear it was a main dealer purchase I originally bought the vehicle pre reg with 0 miles. The only thing you’ve been correct on so far is the car is two years old still with manufacturers warranty. This was stated on original request for valuation so have no idea why you feel it relevant to the review of your awful business model.
As with the clean the car was clean and tidy you make out it was filthy. Surely you would want all cars looking good for sale and this would be factored into original valuation!
It’s evident from your reply that you just enjoy arguing, albeit usually over price.
Poor. Staff couldn’t use own obd equipment and used this as a reason to substantially drop the price (over £1000 difference from initial valuation). I get they need to make money but don’t lie about prices to people to get them there and knock so much money off when they arrive.
Staff member at Coventry seemed clueless and other than his own reader not working and saying it needed a polish (it had just had a service and full valet at main dealer garage) couldn’t give me a valid reason as to why the price had changed so much. Just chancing on me being a loan seller and on people being desperate for money!

Just to clarify, our equipment worked on every other car we inspected that day, but unfortunately it would not communicate with yours.
You are also the second keeper of a two-year-old car, which means the next owner would be the third keeper of a vehicle of that age. While this isn't necessarily a deal-breaker, it is something buyers take into consideration.
The vehicle would also require a machine polish. Our valet service is designed to clean the vehicle but does not correct or condition the paintwork. Given that the car is now two years old, we would want it to be presented in the best possible condition before resale.
We didn't want to decline purchasing your car. However, the fact that we were unable to scan it presented a risk for us. Despite this, we still made you an offer.
I'm sorry that our offer didn't meet your expectations, but we appreciate the opportunity and wish you the very best of luck with the sale of your car.

I was very disappointed with my experience. During my appointment, the salesperson told me that my car should have had five services. However, according to the vehicle's condition-based servicing schedule, it should only have had two.
Being given incorrect information significantly undermined my confidence in the professionalism, knowledge, and integrity of the service I received. Customers should be able to trust that they are being given accurate advice, especially when it relates to vehicle maintenance.
Based on my experience, I would not recommend this company and would advise others to exercise caution.

Weird
This was one of the strangest car-selling experiences I've ever had.
The inspector carried out the usual checks, kicked the tyres and looked over the vehicle. I pointed out the cosmetic defects, stone chips and staining which he accepted were normal wear and tear. He ran the diagnostic, found nothing and declared it a nice car.
He pointed out a few marks on the interior roof lining and claimed he could smell damp, suggesting there might be a leak. We could smell nothing and as the car has been garaged for the last five years has had no exposure to water
The most bizarre moment came when he worked through his deductions and concluded that, on his figures, we should effectively be paying £185 for someone to take the car away. For a running, roadworthy car with an MOT and only 75,000 miles, and four new tyres, that was frankly absurd.
After speaking to his boss, he returned with an offer of £500 which was still nowhere near realistic – the market price is around £2300. We declined immediately.
The whole visit felt surreal. Weird, unconvincing and ultimately a complete waste of time.

This was the second occasion that I have used SYC2J. The staff were friendly and helpful and although I did not achieve the valuation I was hoping for, the overall experience was pleasant.
The only 'complaint' is that the initial valuation pre-inspection did not consider the likelihood that stone chips would be present on a 6-year old car. This resulted in a reduction in car valuation which I feel could have been anticipated at the initial valuation stage. There is nothing wrong with increasing the valuation following inspection!!!

I’ve gave you 3 star because Joe was a nice person. He was clear and wasn’t rude personally.
I was hugely disappointed with the price I was offered.
That’s why you only got 3 stars. Should be 2 at best. But Joe made it 3 because he was a nice bloke.
I was initially quoted 2530 for my car.
You had no information other than mileage.
I brought the car in with FSH and very good condition.
Apparently the air con needed re-gassing. And 2 front tyres were good but would need replacing in the future.
But the car also had so much history with low miles and extremely good condition, to only be offered 2000 I thought was an insult and a little rude.
But I respect the fact you need to make a profit. However to drop from 2530 to 2000 and you didn’t know anything about the car was a bit insulting.
I did say this to Joe.
Disappointed and won’t recommend you to a friend but I like Joe and hope he has a nice future.

Our initial online quote is based on limited information, such as the registration and mileage, and is always subject to an in-person appraisal. Once we inspect the vehicle, we take into account its overall condition, tyres, service history, any mechanical or cosmetic work required, and the current market.
We completely understand that the revised offer felt like a significant reduction, and we appreciate how frustrating that can be. While we're never under any obligation to purchase a vehicle, we always aim to make fair offers based on what we can realistically pay while covering preparation costs and market values.
