Complete disappointment in terms of quality and customer service
I bought headphones that broke 2 days after the 30 day trial period. The right headphone keeps making deafening noises and I simply don’t trust these headphones to not ruin my hearing. Thus I wanted to return under warranty.
Sennheiser kept insisting on a replacement which I didn’t want but there was no arguing with them.
I accepted the replacement, then they wanted me to pay for return shipping and I had to provide all kind of physical invoices as proof after filling an extensive online form and sending at least 20 emails back and forth.
This is by far the worst customer experience I’ve had in the past 10 years and unbelievable to me.
I thought sennheiser was a trustworthy high quality brand.
Turns out it is - excuse my French - pure crap and the customer service is worse than if you had bought fakes from China.
If anyone reads this: under no circumstances buy sennheiser products, literally either get a 10€ pair of headphones or buy another high price brand that is actually high quality. Sennheiser is worse in terms of quality, sound and noise cancelling than 10€ headphones. My AirPods i now bought are a different universe and not that much more.
The worst experience I have ever had.
Apparently Sennheiser does not care about their reputation or their clients. I have the same issue as everyone else. My headphones don't work properly and I wanted to make use of my warranty (after 3 weeks of using them). After multiple emails back and forth they sent a return label but I would have to pay for it?!?! Furthermore they are being rude and completely unhelpful. Can neither reccommend the product nor the brand/customer service. Truly the worst experience I have ever had.
Item came with a beat balanced…
Item came with a beat balanced cable--didn't work out of the box. Almost impossible to contact a human. Bot's are horrible. Last time I buy a Sennheiser product. Customer service is non-existent.
Poor customer service
I did not receive my order after almost 3 weeks and also you did not return my money back. Delivery man just did not visit us and even did not left a sign that he was at us. Reaction of customer service was literally "just try to order one more time if you need".
Have Sennheiser given up?
Same issue as everyone else. terrible customer service. headphones stopped working after 4 months, sent them back to Sennheiser 4 weeks ago today, heard absolutely nothing, no confirmation if they have arrived / what happens next, have emailed multiple times with no response. Sennheiser you owe me £100!!
I'm having the same experiences…
I'm having the same experiences everyone else on this page. My CX true wireless earbuds broke after about 3 months. They actually did replace those, though it took them about three weeks to get them back to me. Then they broke again about 2 months after that. I filed the claim to replace them -they are still under warranty- and it's been 2 weeks and I've not heard a single response. I followed up with about a dozen emails. I've even called every customer service line I can find. For each of those numbers the call Simply hang up on me after they finish their phone tree options. So there's literally no one I can even speak to. Absolutely atrocious customer service. I will never buy any of their products ever again
Terrible customer service.
Terrible customer service.
They write you an email asking for your faulty products back, confirming it's under warranty and then you never hear from them again. Very disappointed. You expect them to honor fair trading laws and they can't even manage the basic courtesy of a response to an email.
Do not buy earbuds from Sennheiser!!
Do not buy earbuds from Sennheiser!!!
I bought second pair of Momentum earbuds and after 6months right earbud stop working same problem as my first mk1 … you can’t fix it !!! it’s how they made them
I always had sennheiser headphones all my life but after that I won’t buy anything from them !!! I chose other brand and will never back to sennheiser again!!!
Poor post sales service
I am writing to express my profound disappointment with the after-sales service provided by Sennheiser. While their out-of-the-box experience is comparable to other premium brands, I am frustrated by their inability to replace product batteries and the lack of accessory availability. Recently, I needed to purchase ear pads priced at $30, but to my dismay, Sennheiser does not offer them, forcing me to rely on unassociated vendors and incurring an additional $20 duty fee. If I had known about these limitations beforehand, I would have chosen a brand like Bose that provides comprehensive after-sales support. I urge Sennheiser to address these concerns promptly by offering battery replacement options and expanding their accessory range, thereby enhancing customer satisfaction.
Awful customer support
Awful customer support. The worst customer support I ever had, customer service from small chinese companies provide better experience than Sennheiser support. I bought brand new headphones that ended up having issues after a month. emailed customer support to see if I could warranty it and not only did they refuse to warranty the headphones but they took 2 MONTHS to respond to my email. I would not recommend ever supporting Sennheiser or buying any Sennheiser products.
Sennheiser Momentum True Wirelss 3
I got the sennheiser momentum true wireless 3. Amazing earphones with excellent sound quality and long battery life. I like it supporting multiple Bluetooth connection and wireless charging.
The only down side is the application and the time taken for a software upgrade. It took almost an hour to install.
The audio quality is superb, but completely ruined by the software.
I don't understand how on Earth a headset can have such good build quality and amazing audio quality, but the software can be so bad it's laughable. I will be returning my headset (Momentum 4 wireless).
To start out, the audio quality is AMAZING. I'm coming from the sony WH1000-XM4s. It's the best I've ever head. I can differentiate between 16 bit and 24 bit very reliably. Lossy audio over Bluetooth is very noticeable now. No complaints there.
The build quality is also really nice. I love the materials used, the weight, and how the headband extends. All around really nice feel.
The software that the headset has, on the other had, completely ruins all of that. Here's a list of every problem I've noticed in the two days I've had my hands on it:
- There is no ability to turn ANC or transparency off. You must choose one at all times.
- Transparency mode makes things twice as loud for some reason. I literally don't know where to start with this
- There's no palm detection for the touch gestures to quickly enable transparency mode. Does the headset not have multitouch hardware? If so, why?
- There's no way to customize the touch gestures. It even says this in the app. That's rediculous.
- If you have the automatic play-pause feature turned on, which pauses the music when you take the headset off, and plays it when you put it back on, the tones even if you're using the headphone cable. I haven't tested with a four pole cable, but the included one is three poles so I'm going to deduce that the headset doesn't have the ability to play/pause when using the headphone cable.
-Firmware update takes half an hour??? Why?
- The app really, really buggy, slow, and generally difficult to use.
- When using USB connection, if you activate the microphone it goes to some really low quality mono audio mode for no apparent reason. Is this something the headset does where it thinks it's in a phone call when the microphone is on, so it just does this with no second thought?
- ANC is really bad. It is laughably bad. In adaptive mode, any sudden or sharp noise, no matter how small reduces the ANC effect. It's really noticable and distracting, especially when typing. In non-adaptive mode, the ANC does essentially nothing.
- I have voice prompts turned off but it still talks to me when I connect to bluetooth. It also says how much battery I have when I touch the power button, even though there's LEDs on the bottom which show battery charge. I have it turned off, I expect it off.
- You can adjust the volume when using the headphone jack. This is really confusing.
- This isn't a software issue, but why does it use a 2.5mm headphone jack? There seems to be no reason to do this since the cups are plenty large enough to support an extra mm. The included cable also doesn't have any clear markings on which end is the 2.5mm one.
- The touch gestures are really stupid. A single tap to do anything is a really bad decision, since it's very easy to accidentally touch the touch-sensitive area when adjusting the earphone. And again, they can't be customized. Like what? Why? That should take a software engineer like a day to implement, at worst.
I don't get it. Is this intentional? There's no way Senheizer is ignorant to these problems. Do they not test stuff at all? This is really bad. There's gotta be some really abhorrent management problems over at Sennheizer for it to be this bad. These headphones have been out for a year (released August 9th, 2022) and every issue in my list should have never been present at any point during release. This is really, really bad. I'll be staying away from Sennheizer for a very long time, and you should too. I expect way more from flagship headphones.
Have the CX earbuds for just over two…
Have the CX earbuds for just over two years(of course the warranty runs out) and the left earbud stops working. Go through all reboots and nothing. Then tried customer service and I might as well just killed myself. What a piece of crap company. Repeat what a piece of crap company. Do not buy. Again do not buy. Again do not buy
Terrible warranty repair service
Terrible warranty repair service. sent in TWM3 for repair and got back different earbuds worth £110 less so basicly stole from me
No support Sennheiser/Sonova 👎
No support at all.
I called the 0299106700 option one diverts to option 2 then it hangs up 😡
So freaking angry right now, there's absolutely no support.
I also called 07 32701111 and 88581800 and jb hi fi 🤷♀️
I can't believe I have to go into settings, sound, sound output then Bluetooth speaker list, then press the earbud choice every single time i want to use my earbuds with my TV ...my new Sennheiser CX plus $160 earbuds
My Blueant pump ear buds that are about 8 years old brought up a 'connect' option on the TV screen every time I took them out of the case...what an unbelievable disappointment.
You'd think that would be a given.
Pffft 👎
sennheiser sent me an email asked for…
sennheiser sent me an email asked for rating, and I give a two start since they provide very poor support. And they just don't post it on their website. It seems they will only show 5 start positive review LOL
poor build quality
Hugely disappointed by the build quality of the Sennheiser HD 205 headphones I purchased a couple of years ago.
Very quickly the plastic covering of the padded ear pieces began to deteriorate and flake off.
The Headphones are used for an hour or two a week and are kept in their storage bag in a stable, dry environment.
This is the worst quality set of headphones I have ever purchased. You should be ashamed.
UPS IS THE WORST
Would be 5 stars if they used any other courier than UPS. My package has been stuck for a week now due to "severe weather delay" meanwhile every other courier gets my packages without issue. PLEASE DONT USE UPS its an awful service for customers.
‘support’ a misnomer
Sent their ‘support’ email a simple query: no response. Sent them a polite reminder: no response. ‘Support’ clearly nonexistent
