bought a King quilter elite

Bought a King quilter elite. received it. I had irrgular stritches and I talked to a rep and did not receive the help I needed. I sent the machine back for service, it came back to me unresolved. I keep trying to call and they do not return my calls. I would not even give them a 1 rating!

Dropshipping, No Tracking, and Horrible Customer Service

I ordered a three-piece ruler foot set for my Grace longarm. When I checked the tracking for the order number I was emailed, I was told my order didn’t exist. I called SMP and the woman I spoke to said the item came from Grace directly; SMP is essentially a dropshipper. She said they’d reach out to the Grace rep and have them contact me. I was not contacted. After two days, I called back again and requested they just cancel my order. I explained that I wanted it canceled, refunded, and I wanted a confirmation-of-cancellation email. I had the woman verify my email. I also know they have the correct email on file because I get about 5 promotional emails a day from them. I have neither received my refund, nor the confirmation email I requested. I spent $146 for no item, no insight, and horrible customer service. Stay far, far away from this horrible “store.”

Still not sure

Update: I received my order February 14. The items are all good and as I ordered. However, I will not be ordering from them again. It took 3 phone calls and 39 days to get my order.

I made an order January 7. I got an email that it was backordered and to wait 7-10 days work days. Twelve days later I called them. One of my items had been discontinued. I did not receive an email saying so. It was the only item backordered. The staff was friendly and substitued another color, which was backordered too. I said I didn't want to wait another 7-10 days. January 28, I called again. The staff was friendly and I told them they had billed my credit card Sunday. I cancelled the backordered item. I have yet to receive a shipped email, so I don't know what their products are like.

Not exactly the customer experience I expected. Lesson learned.

Sewing Machines Plus listed all 7 items in my order as in-stock. Shortly after I placed the order and received notification from PayPal that Sewing Machines Plus had taken payment, I received an email showing that 6 of the 7 items in my order had been placed on backorder, even though my order instructions had clearly stated "no partial shipments, no backorders". So: Sewing Machines Plus had ignored my "no backorders" order instruction and had taken immediate payment for all 7 items.

When I replied to this backorder notification email to cancel this erroneous order, I was told that my "request" would be "forwarded" and that I was to "allow 5 to 7 business days for [my] cancellation and refund to be processed".

I responded to this by pointing out that Sewing Machines Plus had ignored my order instructions w.r.t. backorders, that I was not happy that, contrary to those instructions, full payment had been taken, and that I expected a full and immediate refund.

Sewing Machines Plus responded by falsely claiming that PayPal takes immediate payment automatically and "it was out of [their] hands". As it happens, this is not the case, and has not been the case for many years. (Scrupulous vendors never accept a PayPal payment automatically, specifically because they need to confirm stock and want to wait to accept payment until they are about to ship the order.)

When I replied, pointing out that Sewing Machines Plus has specifically set PayPal up to accept immediate payment, and repeated that I wanted a full and immediate refund, I received a nonsense response from Sewing Machines Plus: a cherry-pick-quote from one of my previous emails and a claim that it seemed as if I might not want to cancel the order after all, followed by a query asking whether I wanted to cancel the order, and to "please advise".

I replied, yet again: "Cancel my order and refund my payment immediately".

Unfortunately, I have yet to receive a notification from PayPal that my payment has been cancelled.

In any case, it was that final email from Sewing Machines Plus that pushed me to take the time to post this review and inform others about my experience:

Sewing Machines Plus obfuscated in an effort to gain an unwarranted payment and then repeatedly prevaricated in order to avoid/delay refund.

I previously ordered an multi needle…

I previously ordered an multi needle embroidery machine, stand and hat hoop. The staff are great but.. when i ordered they didnt tell me the hat hoop was on back order. There was an issue about software i bought that wasnt what i needed but they made that right. Then i made another order for an additional hat hoop. It went perfectly. That brings me to now. On Aug 9th i ordered a heat press and laser alignment system. Not sure what happened but it took a week before it even shipped.I was told they are just really busy and short staff. I still dont have it. When i call i get "oh its out for delivery today." (nope) then "they tried to call to you set up delivery" (nope). then "its in ohio" ( been there since 08/17) Then finally it was someone will call you on friday to set up delivery. That is 3 weeks. I have a vendor even next weds. I needed this press a week ago. I am so disappointed.

A customer for 4 years

I've been a customer of Sewing Machines Plus for 4 years and have had great service from them. I bought a King Quilter II Elite longarm and frame from them in Oct. 2020. Tech support, when I've needed them, has been top notch. I bought a robotics system from them 2 yrs ago, and then I bought a Juki sewing machine from them a few weeks ago. I've had nothing but positive experiences with Sewing Machines Plus and I highly recommend them.

Machine with incorrect feet

I have bought two separate machines from these people who call me a VALUED Customer. I bought a Janome MC6650 for myself and I loved it sew sew much. I wanted my sister to find the same Joy that I had found through quilting. I am a disabled veteran who has Multiple Sclerosis. They say that quilting is good for MS!! Stress is not Good
When I bought her a Janome MC6650 and I asked them to go ahead and throw in a walking foot and a quarter inch foot with guide. They through in a walking foot and a quarter inch foot for a different Janome. Seriously
I recently realized I want to look into a long arm. But Geez

3 1/2 weeks and product STILL hasn't shipped

Placed an order over Thanksgiving weekend, we're in Christmas week and the product hasn't even shipped yet. When I call, they blame it on the manufacturer and hide behind being a 'drop shipper'. The product description didn't say anything about an extended delay or that it would be ordered from the manufacturer. I won't order from them again.

I ordered and received a Juki HZL-G120

I ordered and received a Juki HZL-G120. I only had it opened and out of the package 1 day and noticed right away the tension was messed up and the machine wouldn't run smooth. When I took the bobbin out I noticed red fibers in the bottom of the machine. clearly this was a used machine. When I called to get a return, they told me I was subject to a 20% restock fee. Never again will I shop with this dishonest company!

Don’t expect to get your order

I placed an order in august, and it has never arrived. They claim it was delivered to me, but seeing as during Covid I have barely left my house, and it has never arrived, I can only assume this business is an online scam.

Highly recommend this store!

Times five stars! Awesome great customer service. Order arrived 4 days later. Just what I needed/wanted. Discussed my purpose with Nicolas and he directed me to exactly the right things and at a lower cost! I highly recommend sewingmachinesplus.com, even if you do what I did and call on the phone...it was worth the wait, they’re just that busy!
