AVOID

Firstly, it’s not in my nature to write negative reviews about a company, as I understand the damage it can do to their reputation. However, after my recent experience—and seeing that many others have faced similar issues—I feel compelled to share my story.

I had been a loyal customer of this company for a few months and had purchased several items from them without issue. When I needed a replacement turbo for my boat, I reached out to Cas, the seller, and was pleased to find they had one available. Cas assured me repeatedly that the turbo was in excellent and perfect condition, stating this as his expert opinion.

Although the price was high, I felt reassured by his claims and trusted that I was paying for a quality product from a reputable company. Unfortunately, my trust was misplaced.

When the turbo arrived, I was immediately concerned. It had several visible issues, including a significant gap between the turbine and housing. I consulted two local mechanics, both of whom verified that while the turbo could be installed, it wouldn’t perform well and wouldn’t deliver good results.

I raised these concerns with Cas, but he continued to insist that the turbo was in perfect condition and there was no reason to worry. Wanting further clarity, I took the turbo to a local, reputable turbo reconditioning company. They conducted a thorough inspection and provided a detailed report stating that the turbo was in very bad condition. I shared this report with Cas, but he dismissed it entirely, claiming the findings were nonsense and that the turbo was flawless.

At this point, I decided to take matters into my own hands. I paid to have the turbo serviced locally, which marginally improved its condition. Once the servicing was complete, I installed it and arranged for Volvo Penta to inspect the boat, run diagnostics, and conduct a sea trial.

Now here’s the telling part: The turbo I purchased from Cas—at a significantly higher cost—performed below expectations, falling well short of the necessary turbo pressure range. In contrast, a locally purchased turbo, which cost 80% less, performed exceptionally well, delivering turbo pressure at the high end of the expected range.

The difference in performance was staggering.

This experience has been frustrating, to say the least. Cas not only refused to accept responsibility but actively dismissed every concern, report, and professional opinion presented to him. This lack of accountability, combined with the inflated pricing and poor product quality, makes it impossible for me to recommend this company or Cas to anyone.

If you’re considering doing business with Cas, I strongly advise against it. Look elsewhere—there are plenty of suppliers who offer better service, reliable products, and reasonable prices.

I don't know who wrote this review right now, but if there is a serious problem with a part, you can always come back to me for a solution. There are plenty of examples of that in the Google reviews!

If you consult with a local company (?) beforehand, you cannot present me with the bill for that.
There are excellent companies here that can inspect a turbo; if necessary, I will have it done at Volvo.

Sorry, but you may well be right, though you do need to follow the proper warranty procedure.
