I have been using Shire Leasing over a number of years for various business financial needs, and they have been excellent. Applications are fast, efficient, and Richard (my account manager) goes above and beyond. I highly recommend them for equipment leasing and business funding.

Be very sure that your personal circumstances won't change...

Beware of Shire Leasing's collections practices if things go wrong for you. If you experience any money, or repayment difficulties, Shire's legal team are ruthless and cruel.

I have had to become a full-time carer for my spouse, who was diagnosed with cancer, stage 4, all my requests for reduced re-payment amounts were denied and then I was ignored. I explained that I had to now borrow money to make these repayments to Shire and couldn't afford to pay our basic utilities on top. These requests were ignored too and they have now instructed bailiffs. I had to call them to find that out.

The collections and legal staff are sarcastic, uncaring, and dismissive on the phone - they can’t wait to get rid of you. Be very sure that your personal circumstances won't change if you sign up to a finance deal through Shire Leasing - sharks come in all sizes.

Demi and Samantha have supported and helped me with finance needed in order to grow my business, in the past few years nothing is too much trouble! I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Thanks again ladies!

Our experience with Shire Leasing has been extremely disappointing.

The issue centred around the commencement date of our lease agreement. Whilst we appreciate that Shire Leasing relied on the contractual wording, we believe the practical implications of the delayed commencement date were not made sufficiently clear when the agreement was signed. This resulted in a lengthy dispute over the remaining term of the lease.

Throughout the complaints process, we raised genuine concerns about transparency and sought to reach a fair commercial settlement. Despite making reasonable proposals to resolve the matter, these were rejected without any meaningful counteroffer or willingness to negotiate.

Communication during the complaint was also poor. We experienced lengthy delays between responses, had to repeatedly chase for updates, and were advised that correspondence had been sent which we had never received.

Ultimately, we have decided to continue making the remaining contractual payments simply to bring the matter to an end, rather than because we agree with Shire Leasing's interpretation of the agreement.

Whilst others may have different experiences, ours has left us disappointed with both the handling of our complaint and the lack of flexibility shown in attempting to resolve a genuine dispute. Unfortunately, based on our experience, we would not choose to use Shire Leasing again.

Edit: the below reply is not accurate. Review will not be changed concerns still stand and having read other reviews we are not the only company to be treated this way. Pointless following up you won't get anywhere with them, if they bother replying at all. This response is pointless quite frankly and is poor, as expected.

Where do I start?! We have been with Shire Leasing coming up to 10 years and have always felt fully supported with any financial requirements the business needs. Well, that’s an understatement really, as Richard Kirk who looks after our account is absolutely exceptional! Richard goes above and beyond to ensure he finds a solution to meet our requirements. He has taken the time to learn about our business and growth plans, plus get to know me as its founder. From asset finance to loans, Richard ensures he understands what is needed and tailors a solution for us. Richard is efficient, knowledgeable and genuinely cares about his customers and is solution driven which is considerably rare to find in this industry. We have used shire leasing for a number of years now, Amanda is my point of contact she never fails to achieve what our company needs. It is a quick seamless experience, Amanda's way of approaching us is great she knows what she's doing she knows our business needs. We recently needed a new fridge for our community cafe to store cold drinks and food, helping us raise vital funds for The Lewis Foundation and support cancer patients in hospital. From the very beginning, the Guy and Brett were incredibly helpful in identifying exactly what we needed and recommending the right product for our cafe.
