I would give it 0 points
I would give it 0 points. DO NOT BUY FROM SHOP PBS. I ordered an adult male medium sized t-shirt. It arrived and the label did say medium size. But it wouldn't even fit a medium sized boy. Deceptive sizing. I called PBS and wanted to speak to a supervisor and was assured they would call me back. No Call Back.
Same issues as others
Same issues as others. product ordered was damaged and also not good quality in general. It arrived with no return mailing label, so I called and after a very long hold, got a rep who said they would mail me a label. Never arrived. Called again, this time they said they would email the label. Still didn't arrive. I am currently on hold with them for the third time for the last 20 minutes trying to talk to someone. Will never order from them again, even though there are many products I really like.
Like other reviewers
Like other reviewers, I would leave 0 stars if I could. I ordered a dvd and paid for 2 business day shipping. PBS shipped FedEx Sure Post. I called for a refund of shipping and after an hour was told that the rep didn't like my tone of voice and would I like to hold longer. And then he hung up on me. I called back, another hour wait, and another rep. This one said they would reship at 2 business day speed--if I paid for everything a second time. I declined. I tried calling back--every time after that, I was disconnected after a half hour on hold. No response to any emails either. After the holidays tried again. After only 10 minutes, got a rep who promised a refund of the shipping. No email confirming the refund. According to my credit card company, nothing every showed up. Will never order from PBS again.
Like another reviewer on here if I…
Like another reviewer on here if I could give a 0 instead of 1 I would do so. I usually don’t do this as I’ve done the customer service thing and I know it can be tough. BUT do NOT waste your time and money.
They’ve lost me as a customer. Their customer service is completely inept - I thought I had finally found someone who knew what they were doing but when I finally got the email with the return label it was the wrong order number - not even remotely close to the correct one - amazingly they got the return number correct???!!! - go figure? This all started because they sent one correct dvd and one wrong dvd. They were Christmas gifts. I called 3 times to try and straighten it out. They put in an order for the correct dvd at no change but that only stands if they receive the wrong one back within 30 days. It was their mistake and I know mistakes happen but really - I’ve had other mistake orders with a different company that say to keep the wrong item instead of the hassle of returning it. So waited forever for all 3 calls (20/30 ish minutes) and if the return label would have not gone to spam email I wouldn’t have had to call again - ridiculous - you’d think they’d send something that wouldn’t be sent to spam. Called 2nd time - rude rude rude - I was nice enough I think - think they were new cause they had to talk to a supervisor cause they only had access to so many orders - ummm 🤔 sure didn’t hear that in my first call - no label emailed - the gift recipients are waiting for the label to get it returned...so a 3rd call - I thought this person had their act together / said label could take 24-48 hours to arrive via email. I finally got it 4 days later. And it’s not from PBS as I assumed it would be - it’s from Acorn online (spelled Acornonline in the email - seriously lazy punctuation). So I had to look them up to see if they are real given not PBS and the order number they gave was not even remotely close to the correct order number). The phone numbers they list as customer service don’t add up when I googled them. Nothing should be this irritating. Save your level of frustration and your money.
If I could give 0 stars I would
If I could give 0 stars I would. Absolutely useless customer service, absolutely useless website, and absolutely useless phone system. I was on hold last night for an hour and disconnected. Today I was on hold for 1/2 an hour and the same thing. My aunt paid an additional $20 for expedited shipping with a before Christmas delivery date. Nothing has been received and of course no one answers the phone or emails. I'm going to have her dispute the charge to her card.
Looks like I'm not the only one who's…
[UPDATE (The Nighmare Continues!): My grandmother finally got my package, almost a month late, and instead of the facemasks I ordered they sent her a set of child's pajamas. Last week I got a response from my first of 5 email complaints (weeks late), and today an email telling me MY ORDER HAS SHIPPED, lol! I'd already gotten my money back by canceling at my bank, so I don't even know what to do at this point.]
Looks like I'm not the only one who's had a bad experience with PBS. Ordered on the 24th. I paid 3X standard shipping, too, for priority, and got notification the order was shipped. That 18 days ago ago, and still no movement on the tracking number.
I've gotten no response to any of my '24-48 hour' complaint emails, five days and counting. Long wait times by phone, no help there (when I finally got through, got disconnected instead of transferred). I'd give them 0 stars if that option were available.
Looks like I get no product, and no refund. This was a present to grandma!
SELLING WITHOUT HAVING THE MERCHANDISE
I placed an order on December 1st for items shown to be "In Stock" and told they would be shipped in 1-2 business days. Payment on my credit card was authorized by the bank. Eight days later, still no confirmation the items were shipped. Checked the PBS Shop site and it still was offering the items for sale and stating they were "In Stock." Checked the PBS site on Amazon and they stated the same items were not available until December 18th. Checked Amazon and they showed they had the same items in their fulfillment center and would ship in 2 days. Contacted PBS and they had no explanation as to why items did not ship, but said they were cancelling the order. Bottom line seems to be this; PBS didn't have the items when I first ordered them, even though they were telling the public otherwise. Once again I have been reminded that Amazon is the place to shop and not these other sites that have deceitful business practices.
I have placed two identical orders…
I have placed two identical orders where my debit has been charged but my orders cease to exist after the payment is complete. No tracking, no email, nothing in my order history-- POOF! I contacted customer service 3 TIMES where I was told to wait 5 business days for the charge to be removed because no such order exists on their end. I even took a screenshot of my order the second time around to prove I was not crazy!! They will take your money and give you nothing in return. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!
Ordered $340 usd of video and books …
Ordered $340 usd of video and books over 2 weeks ago with over $66 usd of shipping and handling charges. No one can find the parcel! I don't even have a tracking number. Calling and emailing is useless. No one can give me an answer and they told me to wait 5 business days for them to check on what is going on!
I am paid these sums to support PBS. What poor quality Customer service.
we have watched the first 2 Wild Alaska …
we have watched the first 2 Wild Alaska and we are both so disappointed
the two host talk more than show any wild life- I think they should have waited until the wild life were actually at the river eating the salmon ,
so far its very boring - we have been to Alaska and it is a beautiful part of America, just wished the program showed the wild life in action..
