Im a 40 year SR shopper. My experience with Shoprites in Monmouth County NJ was always good. However moving to Burlington County 4 years ago the SR stores here are very low quality and higher prices.... See more

This was the most embarrassing and…
This was the most embarrassing and humilating event we have ever had at our favorite shoprite in East Windsor. My husband and I have shopped here for over 15 years. We absolutely love the store and staff. Today we were racially profiled and treated very unkindly. We complained to the manager and was treated also indifferently. I am extremely offended by the staff member that treated us so horribly.

I bought a cold drink only to find out after drinking it that it is expired 1 year and 4 month ago it was refunded but they didn't even take us to the doctor to check if we have food poisoning

Overcharged for buy 4 items for a set price. Cashier only charged me for 3. Price over 18 dollars and the sale price was buy 4 for 10.88.
I bought some fish
I bought some fish, 2 packages....inexpensive 3 pieces of whiting at $2.62 each.....Package says WHOLE CLEANED WHITING....Well, when I opened one pack there were fins, scales, and were not clean unless there is a new definition.....Because I was married to a real fisherman I know how to clean fish. I didn't notice it in the package because I couldn't see the fins.....upon opening what surprise......I took a pic of one of the packages and yes it is yours Shoprite...I did not mind cleaning, but the package lied......big time.....Anyway, don't lie about what's on the package.....I will be happy to bring it to Shoprite for you to see.......Not really earth shaking, but do not lie to the customers......Have a great day......janeen daniels
quality of their produce and meat
The quality of their produce and meats is so bad you'd probably do better dumpster diving. I don't know why anyone would shop here
Do Not Shop in ShopRite of Hamden !!!
The Hamden ShopRite has seriously gone down hill fast, to give a few examples - It's not a very clean store, there are many products not in the right place on the shelf so the price tickets do not matchup, If you try to call the store to ask any question no one answers and you can let it ring and still no one answers, but I think the most surprising thing was the Assistant Manager Wakeem was not only rude but very unprofessional not only to customers but to employees also. especially for someone who is supposed to be representing the ShopRite corporation and when management was made aware of this they said that's just the way he is.
Since that experience I have shopped in the East Haven, Wallingford, and Orange stores with much better experiences. I will never shop in the Hamden store again and it's to bad because I live in Hamden

Employee needs to be trained in customer service
I recently visited ShopRite and had a disappointing experience at the self-checkout. The teenage cashier on duty was quite rude when I needed assistance and snapped at me when I turned on the assistance button. Their behavior was uncalled for and made me feel unwelcome. It's important for staff to maintain professionalism and courtesy, especially in customer-facing roles. Hopefully, this can be addressed to ensure a more pleasant shopping experience for others.
Shoprite is busy with corruption
I've been receiving my srd grant in my Shoprite Money market account for almost a year now without any issues,Then suddenly on the 30th April when it was my paydate of my srd grant when I tried logging into the app,A notification popped up saying they can't verify my details,What nonsense is this,I've been banking with Shoprite using that account for almost a year now suddenly on my payday they tell me they can't verify my details. And the strangest of all is if they claim that they cant verify my details, but they've accept my srd grant payment into that account??This is the 1st time I've experienced such nonsense.HOW CAN THEY TELL ME AFTER A YEAR THEY CANT VERIFY MY DETAILS...SHOPRITE IS DOING TO ALOT OF PEOPLE WHOS SOURCE OF INCOME IS THE SRD R370 GRANT.AND IF THEY DONT GIVE ME ACCESS INTO MY ACCOUNT IM GOING TO TAKE THIS MATTER FURTHER IM DEFINITELY GOING TO THE MEDIA WITH THIS.SHOPRITE IS ONE OF THE BIGGEST SHOPS ON THR MARKET,YET THEY TRYING TO ROB US MAKING ALL SORTS OF ISSUES TO PREVENT US FROM HAVING ACCESS TO OUR ACCOUNTS.AND YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS PATHETIC THEY JUST DONT EVEN TRY TO HELP US WITH ANYTHING.
Incompetency from Cashier to Manager
Cashier wanted me to cash out a wicode voucher after telling her several times you cant cash out a voucher she said I cant tell her how to do her job.She wasted my time and humiliated me.I had to call the manager to complete the transaction after she said she will not be able to assist.Insisting to know my balance on my voucher which made me feel very unsafe.Manager Zandile Khumalo saw nothing wrong with Bongekas behaviour. This happened Today by Umngeni road.Shoprite where Cambridge used to be.

Today I was at Shoprite to withdraw my NSFAS money at Tubatse Crossing mall I received a very terrible service. No one wanted to help me I talked to the money market lady she said I must speak to their controller. The controller was very rude then send me back to the money market until my voucher expires within 5 minutes.I was so fed up until I just decided to leave without my money.pls Shoprite teach your staff members to respect us as customers.Teach them to explain new things that we don't know. They don't know customer service at all.
1lb cheese delivered, 3lbs ordered.
Tried to order my staples for the week cause my car is in the shop. Ordered 3lbs of cheese. Put 3lbs in the amount, put 3lbs repeatedly in the substitution section, top and bottom lines, and they sent one pound. Asked the store manager to make it right and was told they wouldn't. Effed by Shoprite Bordentown, NJ!
18 eggs for $7 dollars
18 eggs for $7 dollars? Walmart has them $4 dollars. It a shame that a quart of French Vanilla creamer is almost $1.50 cheaper at a convenience store (Wawa) than at Shoprite. $5.04 vs $3.59. There are other things I buy cheaper elsewhere than at Shoprite. My wife and I just got Costco memberships. Shoprite will be seeing less of us in the future.
I went to the Shoprite in Belair
I went to the Shoprite in Belair, MD at the festival. It was pouring down raining and I needed to get a co worker a gift card for her birthday. I usually don't shop there, due to me living in another county and I don't have a convenient store near me. But it is convenient to work. They would not sell me the gift card due to me not being a member. I told them my mother in law did but it is raining and I left my phone in the car. She sent me to customer service and I was denied again. Even a kind worker offered her card but she was told she would be fired if she did. I went to the car in the pouring rain for my phone made my transaction and told them if they valued having me customers maybe I should of been given the option of signing up for a value card instead of being inconvenienced and wet. I will never shop there again!!!
Where do I start
Where do I start? They stock during the day, when it should be done at night and not in the customers way. Some employees are awesome, but others are rude, and only care about what's on their phone. There's constantly non handicap people parking in the handicap spots, and they do nothing at all about it, it's their responsibility to call the police, because police can't give tickets in a privately owned parking lot without a call from the owner. The prices are through the roof for no reason, they're taking advantage of the times for products of which 98% are from the United States.
