Preordered a game 2 months in advance but never received it on launch day. Needs to be sent tracked to ensure it arrives for launch day which cost extra. Won’t be ordering again.

It is not the case that you need to select/pay for a tracked delivery method to ensure release date delivery, as, Royal Mail do deliver the overwhelming majority of items, the next working day after item shipment, where Royal Mail 24 service has been selected in the basket
If any large scale late delivery issues were occurring, rest assured you would be able to read about it here, amongst the reviews posted, however, as you can see, the majority of reviews posted here are positive/five star reviews, meaning that, in most cases, items are being delivered, as expected, on the items release date, we are sorry to read that yours was not on this occasion, one of those that was safely delivered when we had anticipated

Once we have had an opportunity to check what specific item you have ordered, we can determine if there are any delays or issues with code provision, by contacting the supplier of the code (all codes are supplied via automated external servers, directly from the code supplier, we do not store/do not hold codes locally)

TERRIBLE customer service, holding on to payments
I preordered a game and was assured if I chose the royal mail 24 it would arrive by release date at the latest. It didn't it was days late. Spoke to customer service, very rude and unhelpful, would not cancel order, would not refund, would not arrange collection and refused to take any responsibility whatsoever. On their site it says royal mail is 24.hours, then when you complain you are told rm24 is a 2-3day service and they could not see the hypocrisy of their conflicting estimates.
Paid for the return myself, it was received 6 days ago but now they have not refunded and will not even speak to the returns dept to find out what is going on. I have tracking but still no refund they keep fobbing me off with generic AI answers rather than dealing with the issue. Thank god I sent it back recorded. I am dealing with the bank to get my refund. Do yourself a favour and buy elsewhere, if there is an issue you will get 0 help from shopto, honestly worst customer service I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with.
Update.
Shopto put far far far more effort into responding to negative reviews than they do helping customers. Instead of this long reply they could have just processed my return!
They also lie through their teeth - my return with tracking was delivered 6 days ago. Their own help page says returns take 48 hours hence my query. And no they STILL haven't refunded me.
Yes I called you bloody useless and im sorry this hurt your feelings, im sure you will go take it out on another one of your customers to make you feel better.
P.s. if you know rm24 can take 1-3 days why why why do you send games out a few hours before release? This is your failure and instead of putting things right this is what customers can expect. This review is the only way to message shopto without using live chat service which is as I stated useless, they say no to every question and request, it is like talking to a carpet.

Shopto your attempt to report my review for harmful or illegal content was unsuccessful, I bet you do this to the many many bad reviews you receive on a daily basis.

You appear to be confusing what Royal Mail call their service, with the timescale they also denote items are normally delivered within
Royal Mail ie the delivery carrier you selected, calls the service you selected, Royal Mail 24, because the overwhelming majority of items that are shipped via this service, are delivered on the next working day after the item has been shipped/dispatched to Royal Mail
Royal Mail does not provide a next working day guarantee & they denote items sent via this service, should be delivered in 1-3 working days, hence why that information & delivery estimate timescale is denoted/reflected within the basket on our site
The answers you received, were not AI answers, a colleague read & responded to your messages, to inform you that, once your return has been confirmed & processed by the returns address/warehouse, the team will then be able to action your refund
Your replies to our team, via our website livechat contact method, included swearing & being rude to members of our team, will not change our returns process nor the timescale it takes for your returned item to be processed/refunded
In one of your message you said "You have been useless, wont do anything couldn't care less blame everyone expect you" (sic) so for you to suggest our replies had been rude, when you don't appear to recognise your own rudeness & sought to browbeat members of our team to refund you, when the item had not at that time been returned to us/received back at our returns address/warehouse, was somewhat unfortunate on your behalf, as a business, we have processes to follow & the team members you spoke to, do not have any latitude to alter these processes & they do not deserve to be spoken to in the way you have done so, via multiple messages:our team have made clear the process thats required to be followed.Once this has been completed, we will be happy to issue your refund for the item you have returned
We are sorry to read that you feel any of our on site information or replies to your enquiries were conflicting, as there is no conflicting information we have provided:Please feel free to check & confirm with Royal Mail as to the delivery timescale expectation for the service you selected, when placing your preorder on site
To suggest that you have received no help from us, is disingenuous, we have replied to your enquiry & advised you of the process once the return has been received & that your refund will be actioned, in due course, once the return has been processed by the returns address/warehouse, a refund can only be actioned once the warehouse has checked the item that was returned, is the same item that was shipped out to you & that it has been returned in 'as new' & re-sellable condition, as, of course, if you had ordered this item, you would not want to be sent out a damaged or incomplete item, thus checking the return forms part of the process
In reply to your edited/updated review, where you have accused us of lying (with zero evidence) as you appear to have not read our on site help page info, we will post here, the relevant info :- We aim to process returns within 48 hours of receipt. This estimate can vary though over busy periods such as Christmas.
As we have stated, on a number of occasions, once your return has been checked & processed, your refund will be actioned:should the returns address/warehouse find any issue with the item you have returned, they will inform us & we will update you accordingly
Apologies that this reply is 'long', unfortunately, due to your repeated ignorance of what we have already informed you & the on site information you have ignored or chosen to misread/misinterpret, it became necessary to provide what you term a 'lengthy' reply

Good delivery but messed up free DLC
Order delivered on release day, but didn't come with the pre-order DLC. Had to chase them up...and they didn't have any idea as to the problem. Apparently, they had the chase the supplier and just over 24 hrs later, the pre-order code was available. Not the worst experience, but far from the best.

Yes. that is correct, in this instance, due to the code not being provided, automatically via your Shopto account, we contacted the supplier of the item to request additional codes, as they did not, initially provide sufficient codes, to seamlessly allow yours to be supplied:upon clarification with the supplier, additional codes were obtained & supplied via customer accounts as appropriate
Apologies for any confusion and or disappointment caused by the slight delay in provision of your preorder/bonus item
