Leeds - Shouk Catering & Street Food
Went to the one in Leeds.
Saw the halal sign, asked if everything is halal, was told yes by the person working there. Was about to order when I saw they were serving beer...
Didn't order, seems like one of those places that has halal chicken but doesn't check to see if their bread is halal.
They could just do away with the label, it is unnecessary if not true and I don't suppose it would have a big affect on sales.
I left this review on google, they then decided to lie and say I was being aggressive with them and they have never claimed to be halal, such a bizarre lie, the review has also mysteriously been reported on google and has disappeared, my response to them was:
Aggressive? I simply asked the person working there if everything was halal, he said yes and went back to playing on his phone, I looked at the menu to order, saw the beer so left? You don't need to make things up?( you seem to be in the habit of doing this)
You never claimed the entire establishment is halal? There is a halal sign up and your workers are telling people that it is all halal, maybe remove the sign and have a specific sign saying it's just the chicken and give your workers better training?
