Not what I expected.
There were no instructions on how to insert the battery mechanism into the bird. It was difficult to insert the battery into the bird, but I was able to figure out how to do it. I thought that the wings were to flap, but they did not. My cats were interested in the chirping sound the bird made, but quickly realized it was not alive and eventually ignored the toy.
