I am an author, and a representative from this company reached out to me a little over a year ago, offering to put a billboard up for me in New York on Time Square for a large amount of money. I told her I liked the idea but it was out of my price range. Recently she reached out to me again offering a billboard in my area. This is in Las Vegas, on Las Vegas Blvd, which is the strip. I agreed to pay for a board for three days, believing this would be a billboard for my book. Not only was this not the case, it turned out to be a scam. First, it did not go up on the initial dates. I know this because I went to the address where the billboard was supposed to be, and saw no board advertising my book. When I reached out to the representative, I was fed some story that did not make sense. I was given new dates and sent images of where the board was supposed to be that coincided with the location address. Based on the images, we again went to the location and discovered the board is a digital board with several advertisements, none of them in a book sales venue. I pulled into a bus pickup space on Las Vegas Blvd, and watched the board. The images recycled three times and I realized my book was not among the advertisements being displayed. So again, this is a very busy street, the board has several other advertisements, so the likelihood my book board would be seen are very slim. It is obvious they do not expect the purchaser to go look for themselves. They think they can send pictures of where it is supposed to be and hope you will take their word that it will be there. I did not pay to share the board space, especially with companies that are not in a author or book sales venue. If this was made clear, I would not have entered into this agreement. This type of board is useless because the cars driving by are moving too fast to gather any information from the board, and again it never went up. This was a scam. New Authors please beware of all the predators out their trying to cash in on our talent. Do not be deceived by this company and any others offering expensive marketing packages. If you have paid for a billboard, require they prove they are providing you what you paid for. Because I would have never known they did not actually put the board up if I had not gone to see it for myself. One more thing, let us not continued to be fooled by the religious approach, and live in the reality that so called Christians are some of the worse people in the world.
