Terrible communication and unhelpful service – avoid

I booked in mid-July for an appointment in mid-September (apparently the earliest available) with a practitioner. I was led to believe the booking was confirmed, only to discover in mid-August that it had never actually been booked. At no point did they inform me that they were giving my slot to someone else – absolutely no one contacted me, and they didn’t send any reminder or follow-up. They simply gave my slot away without my knowledge.

When I queried this, I received vague answers and no real attempt to rectify the situation or offer any meaningful help. The next available appointment was weeks later, far beyond my needs. This shows a complete lack of respect for patients’ time and priorities. They do, however, constantly remind you about the fee and how to pay. When I asked how I could secure regular slots, they did not even respond.

My impression is that they are far more interested in securing fees than in delivering professional, reliable care. If you are looking for a clinic that values trust, communication, and commitment, I would strongly advise going elsewhere.

Hi NK, I would sincerely love to follow this up with you in detail, as this is not acceptable, but without knowing who you are or which Clinic you are referring to, I am unable to do this.
We do have one Specialist who is booked up weeks in advance, so it may be her, however we have other therapists who are as experienced as her, so I'm quite shocked you were not offered an alternative Physio as opposed to having to wait weeks.

Pls do follow-up with me support@sixphysio.com and then I can see if there is anything I can do to rectify this poor view of Six Physio that you have.

Thank you and apologies again, not acceptable.

5 years and counting

I've been using Six Physio services since my knee replacement in 2019.
I attend reformer pilates classes with Karina the marvellous physiotherapist who helped me with my knee rehab, and since lockdown, I do pilates classes once a week from the comfort of my home .
Six physio helps me maintain my level of fitness with their support and their classes as well as meeting other lovely people and working through my age related injuries . In particular, Six Physio in Chelsea is a little hidden gem

George Brassil - male pelvic pain expert

I've been seeing George Brassil at Six Physio for male pelvic pain for the last few months and I can't recommend him enough.

If, like me, you've been suffering from male pelvic pain then you already know how clueless most healthcare professionals are about it. It was such a relief to find George. He really is one of the top experts in the UK on this often-misunderstood condition, and provides a holistic approach including physiotherapy, acupuncture and pilates.

My symptoms are so much better since I started seeing him and I feel a lot more positive too, knowing that I'm in good hands.

Effective and professional service

I have been going to Six Physio on and off for over a year now. I have been very pleased with the service. I would particularly commend Tanya Wong at Moorgate. Her treatment plan proved to be effective and she was thorough, courteous and highly professional. She took the time to confirm her recommended exercises in follow up emails, which I found very useful. For less serious aches and pains I have also had massage treatment from Diane Croskin at the Monument branch, who is also very professional and effective.

This is obviously not what we want to hear: can I ask which number you've been calling and who you'd like to see? I've checked all our inboxes for your name but it's not appearing in the search function. I will get this resolved first thing tomorrow morning once I have more details. Or alternatively email me at support@sixphysio.com

I'd rather have dropped a hundred quid on the street

The practitioner I saw gave very poor advice and didn't appear to understand the problem at all. I was given one remedial exercise and when I asked how often to do it was told to do it "when I felt like it". I'd rather have dropped the best part of a hundred quid on the street than waste it here. Definitely won't be going back.

UpDated - This individual has not got back to us with details of who he saw, so we believe this review to be questionable - as per most of the other reviews they've written and given 1 star without any specifics.

Hi Northcliffe , without knowing who you saw we are unable to follow-up on this. I see you have given quite a few companies 1 star, so before I pass comment I shall wait to hear from you so I can follow-up with more specific details.

Went twice for balance problems

Went twice for balance problems. Expensive - cost £135 the first time. Paid by card. Second visit £90. I got home an hour later to find an invoice and a receipt - they had helped themselves without asking.

Hi Caroline, our Dizzy physio is a Specialist service hence a higher price than MSK physio appts, but all pricing is clearly stated on our website. Apologies if you didn't realise funds are taken immediately following your appointment, but again this is clearly stated in our T&Cs. Hopefully the sessions have helped with your balance problems.

Fees double advertised ones on their website with misleading titles

I came across this site as had injured my neck and needed physio rehab. On the site they set out their charges and on that basis I called and made an appointment with an experienced (I hoped competent) physiotherapist.
On the day of the appointment, I spent the hour appointment almost entirely recounting my injury, doctor/MRI results, etc. At the end, I had about 10mins of lying down and being rocked lightly. Then I was told to come back a few days later for another appointment, after which I'd actually get to see the physio exercises recommended (by someone else). That's it. No prognosis, no insights.
Then came the unpleasant shock. This particular physio was apparently the owner of the shop and his charge was double that advertised (£200 vs £102)! I was seriously taken aback, contested it with the receptionist who said that she had to take payment. There was queue of people behind me waiting, so felt pressured to go ahead and paid it, sure that it would be resolved later by said owner. To be clear, at no point when I made the appointment had I been informed of the charge for this practitioner. What was even more confusing is that they use this pretentious terminology of 'consultant' (which I thought meant an external resource vs an employee), but turns out to mean that they are equivalent to a surgeon 'consultant,' which makes no sense in conjunction with a physio.
I ended up exchanging emails with the owner, who refused to refund the difference and claimed that I should have known that he was more expensive (but somehow, not by how much), since he was a 'senior consultant.'
Overall, the experience left a very bad taste...these are people who are supposed to heal, not rip people off. At the very least, I thought he would be gracious enough to accept that his receptionist had erred in not explaining to a first time client the varying charges, but clearly that extra £100 meant too much to him.
In the end I decided that I'd wasted enough money on them, not to double up by wasting more time and walked away (having thankfully not spent the additional hundreds just to get to a recommendation). I would not recommend going to healers who demonstrate this kind of greediness.

I have booked deep tissue massage for…

I have booked deep tissue massage for 30 minutes, to see if I like the services that Six Physio clinic have to offer. I have a big muscle tension around my shoulder and was hoping that a professional will help me to releases this tension by doing a DEEP tissue massage. Instead, I have received an easy back stroking... On my request, if I can have a little bit more pressure because I don't feel anything I have received an answer: No. Just NO. That's it!!
After session physio asked me if my pressure is gone. I did say that its not, and I was honest to tell him what I think about a message he gave me.
I received an answer saying that: "The deeper you go into the muscle, the more it contracts and forms even more pressure. You are a new client and I don't know you, how deep I can go."

Feel ripped off... Paying upfront 45£ for 30 minutes and received nothing.
I doubt that all reviews are genuine, because what they offer its a joke!

PS. An answer to your reply :

I have requested for something that helps me and generally helped me for years. Your physiotherapist refused me in the kind of treatment I preferred and it would be fine as long as it helped but unfortunately, it didn't.

Likely I have found my practice where the therapist is taking into consideration what a client asks. Plus your therapist was aware that I am doing physio with my GP and I am ex sport gymnast. I came for a deep tissue massage, not a light stroking on my back!
