Bad quality of Skagen's watch bracelets

I was really happy with my Skagen wrist watch, one of the newer models, but already within a year the original leather bracelet started to disintegrate and coming off the hinges/screws. When I complained to the shop (on Kultorvet) they said that is what to expect, and that I could just buy a new one, for about DKK400-500 (USD60-70). The build quality of the leather bracelet was really porr, you could see it when it disintegrated, and this is what surprised me the most, coming from a company that seems to care about quality.

Someone at Skagen, at the highest level, should address this quality issue with the leather bracelets, because the range of bracelets for their watches are extremely limited due to the particular designs.
