A quick and easy process, really quick delivery, a skateboard my son loves!

We purchased a £150 Core scooter from Skate.co.uk for my son at Christmas. It has only been used around 10 times and has always been stored indoors in a dry garage, yet after just 3 months the handlebars have developed significant uniformed corrosion across the whole handlebars.

I contacted customer services(after 6 Months) as it got to a point where the corrosion was all over the handlebars and I genuinely believed this pointed to a fault with the finish rather than normal wear and tear. Despite proving many photos of the corrosion which is clearly a manufacturing fault, they refused to help,

What was particularly frustrating was that the response focused almost entirely on the manufacturer's warranty period (6 months) which had only expired by a matter of days when I first got in touch. It also failed to acknowledge that the scooter wasn't even opened until Christmas Day, has only been used around 10 times since then, and the corrosion developed gradually over time. This wasn't damage that appeared overnight or because of misuse – it was something that became progressively worse on a scooter that has seen very little use which was clear from the photos I sent.

I appreciate not every issue will be covered under warranty, but I expected much better support for a premium-priced scooter from what I thought was a premium company. Even a goodwill gesture of replacing the handlebars or a willingness to investigate further would have gone a long way.

Sadly, I feel I've been left with no meaningful resolution and will now be seeking further advice from Citizens Advice and referring the matter to Trading Standards to understand my rights under the Consumer Rights Act.

Based on my experience, I wouldn't recommend Skate.co.uk and I certainly will not be purchasing from them again.

My daughters pogo stick came really quick. The quality looks really good.

Wheels arrived and one had leaked its grease everywhere. Didn’t hear back from the company and nor did i recieve a replacement.

Advertised to receive as soon as 2 days, but it had only been dispatched by the second day. Seemed very disingenuous.

Excellent service from start to finish. The scooter wheels arrived quickly, were well packaged and exactly as described. Great communication throughout and I’d happily buy from them again. Highly recommended

Ordered wheels for my son's scooter. Got what I ordered a few days later. He was disappointed when they came a day later than predicted, but that was probably down to the courier, and the delay wasn't too bad.

Absolutely shocking experience with Skates.

I ordered a birthday present for my son costing £150, only for the parcel to be marked as delivered when it never arrived.

The delivery “proof” provided shows a photo of the parcel allegedly left in my garden and, even more concerning, a signature claiming to be mine. I was not at home at the time—I was at work—so I did not receive the parcel and I certainly did not sign for it.

I contacted customer service expecting support, but was simply told there was nothing they could do. I am now £150 out of pocket, my son has been left disappointed, and I am still not getting any meaningful response.

The lack of accountability and customer care has been extremely disappointing.

Based on my experience, I would strongly advise others to think carefully before ordering from Skates.

I wanted a stunt scooter for my granddaughter but did'nt have a clue what to get.
