Norwich Main Dealer - Work not done and fraudulent quotes for unnecessary work
Skoda UK seem to not quality check and govern their dealer agents. Yes, I know they are independent garages, but in Norwich we have the worst.
My experience was on the 6th May - I'd booked my Superb in for an "Oil and Inspection Service".
All they did was an oil change and told me I needed to book a service!!! They even said it on a video that was emailed to me! They also quoted for a Water Pump replacement and also added Timing Belt to the quote when the timing belt does not need doing and is on the other side of the engine.
When I took the car back to them for the second time on 16th May, they said they would perform a complimentary upgrade on the service from the Inspection Service to an Extended Scope Service. All that they seem to have done is reset the service light. The paperwork presented was from 6th May - so I'm still chasing the evidence that they performed the extended scope service 2 months on.
Skoda UK are supposed to be resolving my complaint and chasing paperwork. I've had no reasons given to me why the booking was wrong, why they fraudulently quoted additional work that doesn’t need doing, and I've had no proof the service checks were performed.
All in all, Skoda UK is useless. The complaint has been open for 2 months.
Skoda tries to project a brand image of quality, but that’s not the case. The Group 1 Norwich Main Dealer does not represent that, and Skoda UK handling complaints does not represent that either. This should have just been a standard in-and-out service. My second car is a Renault, and the Norwich Main Dealer is excellent. It shouldn’t be that hard.
The Superb is a nice car, and I was thinking of getting a Skoda as a second car replacement, but that’s not going to happen! Bye Bye Skoda
Don't buy Skoda
Lucky to get 1 star, do not buy Skoda, their service and support for issues is utterly useless, I bought a £50k superb and although the issue is minor, it's been going on since December last year and they don't want to help, they've pulled the complaint and said the car is road worthy although the issue still exists but they cannot fix it yet
Absolutely no interest in helping out, they didn't talk to me or the dealership before pulling the support so if you don't want to waste money, don't buy Skoda.
Appalling Service from Henry's Glasgow
Initially a five star review (albiet forced when accepting handover), until this particular branch sold me a car that isn't fit for purpose, nor then accepting the rejection within a few months of owning the car. David McKellar, alleged "head of sales" seemingly has moved to Timbuktu, or as suggested by his inability to reply to emails. Nor does he have a comprehension of the customer recovery process. The "approved used car" had a faulty gearbox (appropriately fixed as spotted within 2 weeks, and give them credit, wasn't an invoconvenience and was actually good customer service so well done for that one at least!). Since then, I have discovered corroded plates on the car, dangerously so, and told this isnt covered under warranty, even after the corrosion was scraped off by a Skoda Assist Mechanic, and then an engine that sounds like its going to take off on a cold start. Corrosion doesn't happen in 3 months, yet them fixing that was them booking me into a dealer an hour drive from my house(without anyone telling me too!). And when you try and ring to advise them it isnt convenient, well you never get a phone call back! Oh and a faulty boot lock, and emergency SOS messages at 60mph. But its ok, Henry's will ring you about the emergency SOS message, but not return calls about rejecting a vehicle (under my legal Consumer Rights). Even their own head office think they're not hitting the the mark, but I'll leave that to them to tackle. We might have been a distance sale, but after getting Head Office, our finance company, and now unfortunately seeking our own solicitors, we're treated like scum of the earth, instead of them just fixing the issue quickly. Wouldn't recommend, and I feel like this review is completely deserved after the shambolic service we had received. After 8 years of owning a Skoda, Henrys have singlehandedly ruined our faith in the brand. Shame it can't be zero stars, as one is excessively generous.
Skoda’s gearbox I…
Due to issues with my Skoda’s gearbox I was issued a goodwill voucher of £400 from Skoda UK. I collected the car from the retailer on the agreement that I would be later refounded £400. This was in January 2025 and I am still waiting on the money. As a customer, I have never witnessed this level of incompetence. As a result, I will sell my car.
My engine blew up
My engine blew up! It was replaced. Now that ones broken.
I'm left without a car. The dealer tells me to call Skoda UK and Skoda UK tells me to talk to the local dealer.
WTH
SOMEONE HELP!!!!!
I have a skoda octavia vrs
I have a skoda octavia vrs, the headlights leak major condensation, dealer told me it's a manufacturer issue, skoda warranty won't honour the replacement and say we won't cover them, but when I have a electronic burn out then they will, what a joke. The warranty is a waste of money & time. Never will I buy a skoda again for that reseon. Cars are good but the customer service experience etc is so bad. The worst I've ever experienced in my life. Skoda uk are a major disappointment.
Excellent Customer Service
Just collected our third Skoda from Horsham dealership; we’ve used PCP on each occasion. We have always had an excellent experience with Station Garage over the years and we’ve not been disappointed third time round. Amanda has gone out of her way to help our transition from a Karoq to a smaller Kamiq. She is very professional, friendly, helpful and has been very patient in answering all our questions. Amanda’s customer service is above and beyond and we would not hesitate to recommend using Station Garage.
Useless waste of time.
Spent a small fortune on one of their cars and you're not going to make them any more money? Forget it, they're not interested in helping you, just like their lying Skoda dealerships and the VW Group that knowingly lied about their emissions. The difference with that is, they couldn't evade consequences from the government, but the little man on the street? They're laughing at you all the way to the bank.
Missing instructions: to update SatNav Map.
Yet again, the technical dept. failed to provide instructions to update the SatNav map. Skoda is very keen to provide Free updates but not the instructions. This means that you need to contact your local dealer and pay an hourly fee. This is not a Free update but an extorsion. Could you please update your instructions and cover all the satnav.
Thank you for help.
Dreadful customer service
Dreadful customer service . Responded to my initial enquiry , I sent all information they asked for and 10 days later I’ve had absolutely zero response .
When my lease ends I will be heading straight back to Volvo who actually know how to treat customers however large or small the issue .

Alex skipper at Norwich skoda was brilliant and straight forward with everything he said explained every little detail from the test drive to questions about the car n even on the day me n my gf picked up the car he explained all the details and set up the car n phone we was so glad that we went with skoda now thanks to Alex
No test drive. No customer
I committed to leasing a Skoda through Octopus salary sacrifice, but now I'm cancelling because I can't get a test drive.
Octopus recommended contacting their fleet people, which I did - no test drives available.
I contacted a dealer and said I was looking for contract hire (which I thought would be safe, just in case they wouldn't give me a test drive for being out-of-network) - they offered me 5 minutes (quote).
I complained to Skoda who asked other dealers in the area. They said no. And now they have my name, so my chances of pretending I'm a cash buyer are burned.
Ultimately Skoda were unable to give me a test drive, when I was ready to commit to a four-year deal.
So I will never be a Skoda customer.
Disappointed with lack of transparency…
Disappointed with lack of transparency and poor after-sales support
I bought a car from Skoda Winchester and was not informed at the time of purchase that it had previously been used as a private hire vehicle. This has made it incredibly difficult to sell on, as many dealers—especially platforms like Motorway and We Buy Any Car—either won’t take it or reduce the value significantly (in my case, by £5,000).
I phoned Skoda Winchester several times to speak to someone about the issue or to see if they’d consider buying the car back, but no one returned my calls. I found this lack of response very disappointing.
Eventually, I did sell the car—but at a loss—because I didn’t feel comfortable selling it privately without disclosing its full history, even though that same courtesy wasn’t extended to me when I bought it.
I believe strongly that dealerships have a responsibility to be transparent about a car’s history, especially when it has been used for private hire. I expected better from a main dealer and am very disheartened by how this was handled.
Not a great experience
I bought a Skoda from Bristo's in Ipswich. The car was ok but the level of service from the salesman was not.
The car was not clean when I collected it and the handover was rushed. He then asked me to complete the online survey and that anything less than 5 stars was classed as a failure. I told him I was not going to give 5 stars due to the cleanliness and the rushed handover.
He invited me to come back to have the car re-cleaned and go over any questions I had about the car that were not covered on the initial handover. The same car cleaner cleaned the car to the same poor standard as before and the salesman did not have the time to go over my questions about the car..
I went to complete the online survey but the link had been removed because they knew they were not going to get the 5 stars they wanted.
Not great service at all so I'll be requesting a different salesperson if I decide to use this dealership again...
Never pay any deposit before you…
Never pay any deposit before you actually make the deal! They don’t want refund my deposit. They said with in 10 days but it has been 20 days. I might going to take legal action against them seriously.
Skoda UK helpline
I recently bought a Škoda Karoq after owning an Octavia for 8 years.
My frustration is I want to drive in “eco” mode and every time I stop and restart the car it reverts to “drive” mode. Beyond frustrating as I want the car to be set up how I want it.
In my view I'd like some acknowledgement of the issue and maybe a software update to correct it.
To compound my frustration calling Škoda UK (0333 003 7504) are beyond pathetic. Totally unable to understand my issue and get my details correct. 49 minutes on the phone!!!
Also, answered by an AI voice which is dreadful.
Skoda Connect App
Be very careful making purchases within the Skoda Connect App. I have been double charged for data and Skoda offer no assistance in getting a refund.
Unfortunately I don’t think Škoda…
Unfortunately I don’t think Škoda dealers care about customers. All they want is money. Simple. Terrible customer service from several dealers.

Ordered an Elroq on 1/2/25.. finally arrived at dealership on 12/4/25 since then trying to collect the car... because Skoda stopped the 3 year IFC and £3500 allowance pcp deal they are now dragging out the order and not allowing the dealer to proceed and complete the sale hoping I will cancel and save them money ........I WILL NOT CANCEL SKODA!!!
