Cricket commentary is dreadful

Cricket commentary is dreadful. Repeated use of the same silly cliches, yelling and squealing if anyone scores a boundary, always speculating about what players are thinking. Just stick to commenting on the action where it adds value. We don’t want a continuous stream of waffle. Sky should offer a “no commentary” option that includes the ambient noise of the match but cuts out the inane drivel from the commentators.

Seriously thinking of cancelling my…

Seriously thinking of cancelling my subscription with Sky Sports due to the shockingly boring punditry. Gary Neville was an excellent footballer but really - sooo boring and so biased. Jamie C just as bad. Can’t you get anyone on who is interesting while still knowledgeable? It’s mainly the match punditry I’m complaining about, the Sat afternoon panel are great.

Sky coverage is terrible

Trying to watch a live match on sky is a bloody joke, more time showing the player who put it into touch, then pan on the manager, before showing the crowd, oh I forgot the ball is in play said the camera man.

I can't believe the poor service still

I can't believe the service for atp tennis does no way match what we had with prime. It's is possible to watch atp tennis on Tennistv. This is why I've not considered sky. However tennistv has been inconsistent with the app on the TV in 2026. But at least you get hood ondemand. I can't believe we can't get the same excellent coverage as we did with prime. We should be supporting and encouraging this sport I stead we are regressing. But I suppose someone made a lot of money out of the changes

GET A DODGY STICK INSTEAD - Sky Sports has gone WOKE

SKY TV used to be Britains most groundbreaking TV service, and specifically Sky Sports was arguably the greatest sports TV service the world had to offer. What we have had for the last 20 years is a slow decline, and is the result of the 'wokeification' of our nation. I won't get political, but its hard not too when all our favourite Soccer Saturday presenters are booted off the show in favour of soul less boring presenters and pundits. What happened to the glory days of Merson, Nicholls, Stelling and Kamara. I am only 30 years old, so you can hardly tell me that I'm some old grumpy man who needs to get with the times - its just CRAP TV.

The people who pay for Sky Sports - ie the target demographic - is clearly Men aged 30+. They are the ones with higher salarys, usually stay in at weekend and will want a full TV package. Why do they not understand who the target demographic is? We do not want spiky haired females or Eni Aluko lecturing us.

What's with the constant pushing of race baiters like Eni Aluko by Sky Sports? Trying to cause division in our country. She even had the galls to try and send for Ian Wright.

It's time US the consumer started having a backbone, and just cancelling your sky sports package. I would say go even further and get rid of the whole lot, Sky as a whole does not even have the best exclusives now. If anything they are the bottom of the pile, have rubbish films on the movie section, and you are essentially paying Sky TV prices to just watch channels that would be on Freeview.

Sky Sports is the exception however - I am a big Football and F1 fan, with a brief interest in Darts. I am only 30 but even I remember not that long ago, not needing Sky Sports and still being able to watch EVERY F1 race, and the majority of European games free mid week. Sky Sports has just bought everything, created a monopoly, and is cornering the market to force us all into having a TV subscription after everything included, will usually be £60-£100. Absolutely ludicrous, you can get basically the same with no sports for £8 a month if you only had netflix and free view.

Sky needs to cut costs for the consumer, this is not some modern futuristic high tech service now. Its billy basic, and people only have Sky for the Sports now. However as soon as the Premier League gets their own streaming service, Sky will be defunct. Customers will not want to stay loyal to someone who has fleeced them for so long.

Soulless, dull and obscene pricing

Few things would please me more than to see the a$s fall out of football and bring both that money-machine and Sky Sports to its knees.

This bloated, dull and soulless sport costs obscene amounts of money per match which is then directly passed to the idiots that subscribe. As one of those idiots I am not going to bother once my contract ends as I will no longer pay for a sport that is so dull it would cure the most hardened insomniac.

In short: Create a separate subscription for the sport of idiots and lower the price for the rest of the sports.

Golf coverage claims 'live golf' are false

Golf coverage claims 'live golf'.
What we get is Nick plus an other giving endless boring previews followed by coverage of a couple of chosen 3 balls only. Rest is taken up with repeats of previous days and top players in the range!!!!
We've seen Rory hit a thousand shots, zero point in seeing him practice. While this nonsense goes on there is lots of great live golf we are missing.

I have had enough of Sky Sports and…

I have had enough of Sky Sports and their blatant bias. Watching Arsenal games with ex Arsenal Alan Smith on Commentary, Liverpool matches with Jamie Carragher , Man Utd Matches with Gary Neville or any other co- commentator with established links to one of the teams in the game. None of them can hide their bias. I makes me wonder why I pay for it. Other broadcasters do a much better job.

Sky sports claim

Sky sports claim, the best is yet to come in 2026, really? I have never seen sky sports this bad, SkySports news full off amateurs and stats from fifa, more ads than content, and bringing fans on the show is embarrassing and of course cheap, too many cheap female sports and terrible commentary, the best is yet to come? Well it’s just a poor lie, RIPSKYSPORTS

Ratty

It is beyond belief Neville is allowed to pundit on the beloveds.
MUTV can't be as biased.
90% of the punditry (Inc the commentator) is ALWAYS about how they are doing in a game.
Ps. Burnley have just scored...Nevilles comments relate entirely about ManU!!!!

Cancelled and taken to the high seas.

Cancelled and taken to the high seas.

I only had Sky Sports to watch football, but I am so sick of Sky Sports and the live directors just completely ruining the experience with too many cameras, too many closeups and too many cutaways. Why tf are the showing replays DURING THE LIVE PLAY?? I'm missing half the game because some failed wannabe film director thinks they need constant replays of everything. I want the wide angle so I can see the game! I don't need a closeup of a player's face, or the f-in manager! WJY WOULD YOU CUT TO SHOWING THE MANAGER???

I'm not paying for this garbage any more. I haven't enjoyed watching football on sky in years because it's so overpriced directed and I've had enough!

Gambling, Gambling & More Gambling...

Switched to PDCTV this year to watch the darts as I'm sick to death watching Sky's relentless betting campaigns. Unashamedly socially destructive crap.

Also awful is the low-IQ insistence on using "lad language" to desperately try and sound cool. Finishing is "clutch" (ugh!), a nil score is "zip", Alan Souter isn't Alan Souter, it's "Souts".

Laura Turner's OK, but I think she learned a new word ("embroiled") for Xmas judging by how often she said it.

And can't someone stop Stuart Pyke sucking on a lozenge during commentary...? Absolutely minging, listening to his disgusting slurping, especially as he already sounds like he needs better dentures as it is...really hard to listen to, especially with headphones.

Without doubt

Without doubt, the best two Sky commentators together (in my opinion) are Gary Weaver and Andy Hinchcliffe. What a combo. Absolutely brilliant together. Gary Weaver for his descriptive language and Andy for his observations and analysis. Their interactions are almost telepathic.Love them. Neither never namedrops (unlike 3/4 others who shall remain nameless a ? Rio, Ally, Peter)

So bad, take me back to 90s

Sky Sports used to be the gold standard. Proper analysis, strong opinions, and pundits who weren’t afraid to upset someone’s nan. You’d finish a show having actually learned something about football.
Now it feels like everyone’s had media training, a sensitivity briefing, and a reminder to “smile more” before going on air.
Every discussion is so PC and careful it’s like watching a workplace induction video. Female presenters should stick to commentating on female football. No one disagrees, no one raises their voice, and any opinion stronger than “he did well there” gets quietly escorted out of the studio.
The punditry has become especially painful. A lot of chat, very little insight, and analysis so obvious you can predict it before it’s said. “He wanted it more.” “Fine margins.” “It’s about character.” Cheers lads, really breaking new ground there.
As for the pace of the shows — slow, polite, and utterly harmless. Football is tribal, emotional and chaotic, but Sky now presents it like a group therapy session where everyone’s feelings matter and no one’s allowed to be wrong.
It still looks amazing in HD, mind you. Crystal clear visuals, pristine graphics… shame the excitement’s been left in standard definition somewhere around 2010.

Going downhill fast

Going downhill fast. Bring back soccer Am, the old version of Soccer Saturday and La Liga highlights. Used to love Sky not anymore. Feels 2nd rate these days.
