After a very unpleasant and disturbing breakdown in my relationship it looked like I was going to lose my home, a home that I had paid the whole deposit for and had paid the mortgage on my own for over 6 months. My ex partner would not sign the house over to me, even though there was no equity in it and he paid nothing toward the deposit, my mortgage deal was coming to an end, I was never going to be able to afford the new payments.
