Dreadful work

Dreadful work, the windows looked worse after SM Sashes had worked on them that when they started. When we asked why they had taken 2 half days to complete the work, when they had quoted for a week, we were met with sarcasm and threats to remove our scaffolding if we didn't pay them by return.
Please do not use this company.

Totally unfair and unjustified review. The works were completed as per the agreed quotation. Our quotes are not based on a daily rate, they are based on the works being completed. As you were refusing to pay for the scaffolding we had were put in a position where we needed to advise that it would be removed.

Highly recommend

Our intial enquiry was followed up very quickly with a home visit ( from owner Tom) to measure up and a competitve quotation followed shortly which we accepted. On the day of installation Will arrived early and fitted the new windows efficiently and without any disruption to ourselves. The actual workmanship of the windows is superb and the overall appearance once fitted is beautiful. Would highly recommend !

A brilliant job!

SM Sashes recently completely renovated my very old sash windows. The windows rattled and were draughty. I’d made small widen pegs and had them wedged to stop the rattling but that didn’t stop the draught!! They’ve now been completely refurbished and draught proofed! Will did a brilliant job, including renewing the sills which were old & rotten. In my opinion the cost of this work was very competitive and I’d definitely recommend to others - in fact I’ve already given their number to friends. Overall a very impressive job.
