I booked a jet 2 villa holiday which offered me “an outstanding villa” according to the brochure. I got non of this. To my horror the villa was sold on behalf of solmar and despite ringing to complain from the 1st day of arrival both jet 2 and solmar they couldn’t have cared. The villa was filthy, damp and not fit for purpose. I had to live out of a suitcase because the wardrobes were mouldy and damp and the kitchen and bathrooms where something from a derelict hostel, smelly, filthy and damp with chipped crockery, rusty utensils and a filthy floors. I have formally complained since my return and jet 2 had the audacity to offer a voucher “as a good will gesture” which was a token of the 3k I paid for the package holiday.
Avoid both companies and do not waste your hard earned cash. I would not use jet 2/solamar villas ever again. Shocking service, appalling product and non existent care.
I appreciate that things go wrong, I understand some things become out of a companies control but it’s the way these things are dealt with and jet 2/solmar left me feeling unsafe, abandoned and frightened and did nothing to help.
Update: so tried ringing as asked, and was passed from pillar to post, was put on hold then I was cut off…. I rest my case, no one cares about the “little people” take our money and provide no service. Shocking, appalling customer service. I repeat use these at your peril

Booked a villa in Menorca via Jet 2. The villa was filthy and damp. It was also full of sewer gas. This villa in Menorca was a Solmar Villa, neither Jet 2 or Solmar could care less about us as customers, not to mention our health and safety. We had to travel home early as the pool was contaminated with sewage following a storm. Solmar villas own maintenance engineer agreed with us that the villa was not fit for purpose and dangerous. We had to get a flight of the island three days earlier when it became apparent neither Jet 2 or Solmar would help us. Avoid both companies they don’t care!!!!

Made contact as asked was passed around until cut off. Confirms what I thought and expressed in my review. They don’t care. Avoid this company, if it goes wrong they are happy to take your money and give zero customer service.

Very misleading description of the town, said it had an opulent variety of bars and restaurants, it had a few, in a few run down streets, on the opposite side of town to the villa, which was a new build taxis could not find, repeated phone calls and emails to various departments at Solmar led to no help on this and misleading help on other issues.
Safe was so light and portable you could pop it in your handbag leaving no choice but to carry your valuables with you, wrong check in info given re keys so had to make the first of several international phone calls, rude emails from their staff and their complaints team is a joke they don't even address the issues raised, or lie, or contradict themselves saying that they did contact us during the holiday then saying the rep could not contact us because they were too busy....Villa described as being ok for no car although you could barely buy a loaf of bread in the town. Had to spend hundreds of euros more than expected on hiring a car, petrol, taxis etc.

I stayed at Villa Elegio in May and had an excellent experience. The villa itself was beautiful, spacious, and very well maintained, with great facilities that made the stay comfortable and relaxing. The owner and Villa Manager were fantastic, helpful and attentive throughout. A thoughtful welcome pack was waiting for us on arrival, which was a lovely touch and set the tone for the holiday. Everything was exactly as described, and the booking process with Solmar Villas was smooth from start to finish.
I’ve had another fantastic experience with Solmar Villas, staying at Villa Julia and Villa Beverley Hills in September for a family holiday. Both villas were exceptional, with stunning locations and amazing views that made the holiday truly memorable.
Villa Julia was beautifully presented and included a welcome pack on arrival, which was a thoughtful touch and very much appreciated. Everything was clean, well-equipped, and exactly as described.
Villa Beverley Hills was impressive and another level. With a beautiful, large infinity swimming pool that became the highlight of our stay. The villa offered plenty of space and comfort, and the setting was perfect for relaxing and enjoying the scenery.
Solmar Villas delivered a smooth and professional booking process, and all three properties exceeded expectations. I would highly recommend Solmar Villas for anyone looking for a quality villa holiday. The 24/7 helpline was a great benefit as we did get lost finding the first villa, but the team got us back on track! I’ll definitely book with them again!
This is a terrible company . We stopped in a villa in Cyprus . There was no welcome basics , rusty oven dishes . Pool lads come twice a week on wednesday spent bout 2 hours cleaning pool and tidying garden then come back Friday we wouldn’t let them in baring in mind we leave the Sunday so should come the Sunday . We had aftershave stolen was still in box we left on dining table but thought I must have put it somewhere it will turn up .day I noticed had gone we heard banging in the night but thought must be air con banging doors but wasn’t really strong enough when thought about it . Then when we came home I went to get my money out of my purse and my £280 had gone and my debit card , in my husbands wallet 20 euros had gone . I contacted jet2 and filled form in and contacted Solmar to inform them as it’s their villa and they had the attitude of fill form in and that was it . I explained this was very frightening that someone has been in when we were asleep and imagine if we had come downstairs so they must have got keys and been in as we only went down to village for breakfast and straight back and I used my monzo card for anything I bought but just take bit cash just in case .so pool guys or cleaners and how often do they change key codes . But all Solmar say fill form in . Which we have but no reply apologising for it and say look into it . I rung them again and said jet 2 looking into it . Sorry like it’s Solmar problem not jet2 .
I would never book thru these again if this is the way they treat customers

recent stay at Villa Rocca, Kapparis, from 12 October to 9 November 2025 (Booking Ref: 123695).
We chose this villa based on Solmar’s reputation and its advertised high standard, but unfortunately our experience was well below expectations. We paid nearly £6,000 including flights and transfers, yet the villa had multiple maintenance, cleanliness, and equipment issues that affected our comfort throughout the four-week stay.
Below is a summary of the main problems we encountered:
Equipment and Facilities
• Missing essentials: no toaster, vegetable peeler, small frying pan, small knife, colander, whisk/mixer, or oven gloves.
• No small cooking pot initially – only very large pans unsuitable for two people (a smaller one was eventually provided after a request).
• Outdated first aid box (over six years old) with dusty, unusable contents – we had to buy our own plasters and bandages.
• Only two lights working above the cooking hob.
• Electric hob surface cracked – photographed by your representative but no repair or replacement during our entire stay.
• No handle on fridge door; fridge cabinet doors misaligned.
• Television stopped working on day two; eventually resolved.
Maintenance and Cleanliness
• Pool and surrounding area dirty on arrival (pigeon droppings, feathers, leaves); only cleaned after two days.
• Artificial grass area around the pool required hoovering (also delayed by two days).
• Cockroaches found – one in the bedroom, one by the pool.
• Upstairs small toilet not flushing properly; low water pressure in second bathroom.
• Several fittings in poor condition: towel holder off wall, loose stair handrail, ill-fitting toilet seat, squeaky and stiff doors, broken latch on bathroom window, some blinds and curtain strings not working.
• Front door difficult to open (risk of trapping fingers); back door required force to unlock.
• Driveway and pool lights not working.
Noise and Comfort Issues
• Persistent knocking noise during the night, initially dismissed as “crickets.”
• After I provided recordings, I was told it was the water pump and advised to switch it off each night, then turn it on again in the morning and whenever using the bathrooms. This is not acceptable during a holiday stay and caused significant inconvenience.
General
• Response times were slow and not particularly professional; several issues were never resolved.
• While some problems (such as the television and small pot) were eventually addressed, it required repeated chasing.
Given the number and seriousness of these issues, and considering the cost and duration of our stay, I believe a partial refund or suitable compensation is entirely justified. The villa did not meet the standard described or expected from Solmar Villas, and several problems clearly breached reasonable maintenance and safety expectations.
I would appreciate it if you could review this complaint in full and confirm what compensation you are prepared to offer. I am happy to provide photographs, messages, and the noise recording if needed.

First time on a villa holiday and I loved it! The villa made it, with the gym upstairs where you could see the sea view, huge TV in the lounge and great kitchen space for when we chose to stay in to relax and eat on a evening. location with bus stop nearby into Playa Blanca. A few restaurants and supermarket about 10 minute walk away from the villa which was ideal.

Had a wonderful stay at Seascape Villa in Corfu, September this year. The villa was spotless, and the views were awe inspiring! We watched the boats both large and small sailing through the straight towards Italy or the Pelopponese and relaxed with a wine from one of the many balconies most evenings. We liked not having the stress of a rep visiting but knowing that help was at hand if ever we needed it via Solmar.

Absolutely amazing Villa!
Our family stayed at Light Star II in August 2025, and it was perfect from start to finish. We were welcomed by the Villa owner, who was incredibly helpful both on arrival and departure. Especially when we needed assistance with luggage storage due to a later flight.
The Solmar team were fantastic, promptly helping us when we needed to adjust our transfer times.
The Villa itself had everything we could possibly need and more! The BBQ was amazing! It’s in a great location, close to shops and restaurants. Easy access to Split by bus. We also loved being near Kamerlengo castle in Trogir, which was ideal for taking a boat trip to see the beautiful three blue lagoons.
We would definitely recommend this Villa and can’t wait to return.

Back in August I visit the island of Rhodes and we stayed for the time in a villa, and let me tell you how amazing that was.
The villa was Massari Hills 9, situated in a lovely and very well maintained luxury resort, the villa itself was so good in every senses, very spacious, extremely clean, all facilities provided so you have that feeling: This is home away from home.
The villa had 3 bedrooms ( 2 in the upper floor and 1 in the ground floor) all en-suites so it means everyone had their own privacy, the living area was so beautiful and very open, the kitchen is open plan which is so nice as when you are on holiday you just want easiness.
The outdoor area and pool I have no words, so luxe and extremely well looked after. My son was in his element for having the pool all for himself and had his own bedroom which he was truly made up by.
I must mention that a car is highly recommended as the name of the villa is self-explanatory since the villa is located on top of the Hills in Massari area, so please make sure you hire a car.
Location is amazing, beach only 5 minutes driving from the villa.
The resort itself is so complete, you have a play/gym area and the villas are very private as all detached villas and no much overlooking, the staff there were so amazing and not to mention the Solmar Villas staff, they were unreal. Very supportive and checked on us, made us a full itinerary on places to go and visit from top to bottom and side to side of the whole island I mean I cannot say more how pleased me and my family was with the service that we received. Outstanding customer service from confirming our booking to leaving the place, just an very wholesome experience in everyway.
I will one hundred percent not only recommend but use Solmar Villas again and again, we are already looking into our next destination with them for next year.

Had in incredible week away in Kefalonia with friends staying at the Villa Sorian Prasino. The view out over the infinity pool was simply stunning... the villa itself was exceptional - full kitchen, spacious rooms and an outdoor bbq, garden and pool area that made the entire week feel totally luxurious. The local area, with bakeries, cafes, bars and restaurants all walkable was a delight and the beach was both idyllic and beyond insta-worthy with it's mountainous backdrop. Cannot recommend enough!!

Our stay at Villa Melvin in May was nothing short of spectacular. The villa itself was a dream – spacious, beautifully maintained. Highlights included the home pool table, the large living room perfect for relaxing together, and a dining table fit for a king or queen.
We did encounter a couple of minor issues during our stay, but the service team was excellent. Grace from the helpline was quick to respond, and Steve the area manager sorted everything out smoothly, ensuring our holiday continued without a hitch.
Overall, Villa Melvin offered the perfect blend of luxury, comfort, and attentive support. We left with wonderful memories and would happily return – highly recommended!

We stayed in 2 villas with Solmar Villas in Kefalonia over 16 days October 2025. One was a luxury villa we got at a bargain price, less than half of the price that booking.com had it on for.
Check-in was via key box. We were sent the code the day before, and all instructions were provided previous to that. Very straightforward and hassle free.
Both villas were perfect in perfect locations!
We will definitely be using them again next year!

Misled and Let Down - Cost Us a Precious Family Event
In August 2024, we booked a villa for October 2025 through Solmar Villas. In April 2025, a significant family celebration was announced that clashed with our dates. We immediately contacted Solmar Villas to request a postponement to May 2026.
They informed us that the owner's policy was only to allow changes within two weeks of the original date. As these dates were already booked, this wasn't possible. We specifically asked them to contact the villa owner on our behalf to make a special request, given the circumstances and the considerable lead time (over 6 months before check-in).
After several weeks, they replied saying the owner had refused. I followed up with a phone call to confirm, asking directly: "Did you contact the owner?" I was assured that they had, and that the owner's answer was a firm "no." With no other option and facing a further financial penalty to cancel, we reluctantly proceeded with the holiday.
The truth emerged only when we met the villa owner during our stay. We mentioned the situation, and she was shocked. She confirmed she had never been contacted by Solmar Villas about our request, and even checked her emails to be certain. She explicitly stated that had she been asked, she would have gladly approved the date change, as it was so far in advance.
We are deeply disappointed. This wasn't just a simple booking error; it was a deliberate misrepresentation. Because Solmar Villas did not do what we asked and then lied about the outcome, members of our group missed a major family celebration. We cannot get that missed moment back. We advise future customers to be wary, as you cannot rely on them to act as an honest intermediary with property owners.

Update following the reply from Solmar Villas where they asked me to contact their customer care team to discuss as they claimed they dont know which booking it is even though I entered the booking reference when I filed the original report. As requested by them I have now tried calling them 4 times and each time after being kept on hold for several minutes it just asks me to leave my details and then cuts me off. I will not be trying again!

I have used this company twice before the first time was amazing, but the second time was awful. We booked a villa for 9 people and the Villa we booked slept 16. After complaining to about the condition of the Villa , it was dirty. The sofas were stained the pillows had saliva stains on them, there was mould in every bathroom and some of the appliances were held together with gaffer tape. I was responded to with an email that said they were sorry I was disappointed. Having spent an absolute fortune on this holiday, I would’ve expected a little bit more than and I’m sorry you’re disappointed. I emailed them again with photos and an explanation and I have heard nothing back. This is a real shame as we have Villa holidays every year, but we won’t be using this company again.

We stayed in Casa Albuqassim in Pollensa. We booked through jet2 but the villa is provided by Solmar Villas. This was July 2025. We have been to the area frequently before but first time to this property. The house itself is ok - a bit tired and basic but the location is excellent. Solmar and jet2 were awful though. We were there for 1 week with our kids. On arrival the pool was filthy - so filthy it immediately stained our kids swimming suits. Was reported straight away to jet2 and Solmar. Info in the villa was that the pool is cleaned twice a week - that didn’t happen. Despite daily calls nobody bothered coming to clean or check it. On our 2nd last day someone came in the evening - the electrics had tripped the pump. He turned it on and left - didn’t clean the pool. So we had use of a pool for the last day only - when it rained (nobody’s fault obviously!). Awful experience and we’re still fighting for a sensible compensation offer. Will not book jet2 or Solmar villa again - absolutely shocking customer service and ruined the kids holiday. Totally overpriced and awful customer care

First time hiring a villa, from the beginning the agent with solmar was helpful. We went to Greece and the villa was great. Sadly the weather was awful and the villa flooded slightly. The agent in Zante ( Denise ) was amazing and moved us within an hour to the sister villa next door. Sadly another day of torrential rain flooded this villa. Denise straight away moved us to what can only be described as a mansion 😂 she arranged a taxi and got us settled within a couple of hours. Denise then called us and offered us 50% of the villa rental price back as compensation??? I will definitely be holidaying with Solmar villas next year and can’t say enough good things regarding them. The biggest shout out goes to Denise who was a total legend during the whole holiday.
