Unprofessional incompetent 'repair' company.

I sent my Grado headphones for repair, after being given their contact details by the UK agent Armour Home.
The headphones are limited edition Grado GH2 models. One of the drivers (internal speakers) had developed a fault. They wanted £175 up front before they even looked at them. They then proceeded to fit replacement parts from a completely different model, ruining the sound. When I queried this they said they didn't have the correct parts so fitted the incorrect ones, which apart from ruining the limited edition specification, can potentially ruin other internal components, and is definitely not recommended. I ended up sending them back to the manufacturer in the USA for a proper repair, which Grado USA didn't charge me for.
Do not trust this company, they will take your money without even having the parts to make a repair. Avoid, avoid, avoid

Dont get ripped off!

Sent my 5 year old Denon Amp for repair as they are "Denon Specialists" , cost £80 to have it looked at. They told me they are "not allowed" to just swap the faulty component and need to replace the main board but as Denon dont have any spares they cant.
They even suggested I'd have been better off finding someone who can actually repair things vs just replacing whole boards.
Given they only "replace" vs actually repair, you'd have thought they'd check that they can get the bits they need before taking my money.
I have since found out Denon dont keep spares for more than 3 years, as they are a Denon "specialist" youd have thought they'd know that, so no more Denon for me either!
