Very disappointing - Avoid if you can

1 star - the people were really friendly.... unfortunately that's about all the good I can say for them.

I struggle to see what they brought to the table as they were caught completely off-guard (3 times!!!) by the seller changing plans... despite allegedly having a spreadsheet to track the progress of the sale and making sure to get weekly updates from my end (clearly no-one bothered 'touching base' with the seller). By the end I had to chase SOWN myself for updates each week and my solicitor was chasing the housing association up directly too (their valuation had expired which no-one had bothered to inform us of - so much for being 'experts').

Very disorganised but I'm glad other people have reportedly gotten better service on their website. My recommendation for anyone forced to work with them: chase them, keep on top of them and don't let them fall asleep on the job

Avoid at any cost.

Avoid at any cost.

My shared ownership flat was listed with SOWN after SoResi recommended them when I moved to the open market. They were described as experts in shared ownership sales, but the reality was very different . Choosing them was a serious mistake and a waste of time.

I signed the contract on 10 June 2025 and eventually cancelled in January 2026 due to a complete lack of progress or lack of interest to sell my flat.

Overall, communication was extremely poor-I received no contact whatsoever — nearly two months without a single email or phone call!
I repeatedly had to chase for basic viewing feedback. There was no clear strategy, and no evidence of proactive sales effort. I would not recommend SOWN to anyone selling a shared ownership property.
