If you are thinking of swapping supplier to SP I wouldn't recommend it. I moved house and found I was on a pre-paid meter. SP said they could switch it over in 11 days time. I spent hours on the ph... See more

Proper conversation rather than a sales-pitch.

James Warwick gave me a call. Excellent phone manner. Has a very strong understanding of the service he's selling and actually engaged with my side of the conversation. I already have a decent deal, but in the end decided that his points were strong for making the move to SP Energy fixed-rate deal, right now.

SP Energy Networks sets the bar high

SP Energy Networks sets the bar high! In 5 yrs since we moved to southwest Scotland we have had a number of power cuts for different reasons. In every case we have been able to ring the emergency number and get an instant update on the situation. The phone is answered automatically and knows which property you are calling from so can give a specific update on your supply. When we had a serious outage a couple of years ago where power was off for hours, we had phone contact from them to update us and check we were OK. I also called them out a few years ago as we wanted to find out where the underground power lines are on our land before we put livestock on. They sent 3 workmen who spent the morning here finding the lines for us, although it was not a straightforward task. They were helpful and friendly and did a great job. If only all companies could give this level of customer service - well done!

Reporting a Problem

Storm Dennis isn't that bad where I live but alas the lights have been flickering. At 1910 I tried to report dim lights but the flickering had stopped. Phoned to reort the problem only to be greeted by a useless auto answer. Recognised my post code but not my address. I just hung up in disgust. People are better than machines ! Suggest you have people answering the phone or at least address the auto answer issues.

Excellent service !

Excellent service. Quick no nonsense service. Job was completed to an excellent standard and they attended exactly when planned. It was a difficult task as tree beaches had wrapped around electric cables but they managed to free the lines perfectly.

Most people complain about BAD service…

Most people complain about BAD service these days but I would like to say SP ENERGY came to replace 2 poles that carry the electricity supply to my home in North Wales and changed the main fuse in my house.

These men worked hard all day without a break, they were WONDERFUL, all were polite, helpful, clean and a pleasure to have around.

Thank you SP. I salute
these men

Can not fault the service everything was taken care of from organising generator for us to leaving the area clean and apart from a little saw dust nothing left for us to clean. The guys are so professional and polite I would recommend to anyone needing trees felling. A big thank you to all in involved

Excellent

Excellent, turned up on time, polite and friendly, very helpful, tidy job and a good result. Poplar is now manageable and not going to take out electrical equipment in next high winds. Really pleased. Thanks chaps.

Paid these guys thousands of pounds to…

Paid these guys thousands of pounds to upgrade our energy supply. Everything started OK until about a month ago when the account manager Alison Gregory just stopped answering emails. We tried to ring her direct landline no answer. We tried the mobile no answer and no reply to our messages. We even tried texting her, nothing. We then tried another contact who did the same. We have since tried the original engineer who contacted them yet still no reply. We contacted him again and he said he would escalate it. Still no reply. So far we have paid over £3000 and it looks like they think they can take the money and not do the work. We will be contacting solicitors to reclaim our money. So if you're thinking of paying this company for any work. Please don't because they'll take the money and ignore you. G.F Buytshirtsonline.

O'Connor Utilities recommended.

O'Connor Utilities attended our property after we contacted S P Energy regarding tree branches near the power lines. They were very good, with prompt visits for assessment and actual pruning. Despite the awful weather the the 2 lads did a first class job, and left no mess. Very pleased with the whole matter.

I reported a power cut on 14/09/18

I reported a power cut on 14/09/18 . As there was no recorded message I was very quickly connected to a polite , friendly and helpful agent . The fault , caused by others digging up road , was fixed in a few hours . Another friendly agent ( Susan I think ) called back in the evening to make sure all was well . Well done .

Absolutely delightful customer care from Stacey

Absolutely delightful customer care from Stacey, Adam and the rest of the SP Energy Networks team that I spoke to.

Their website is easy to understand, and during the 3 calls I made to them, I got through immediately. I was pleased to deal with such a professional, knowledgeable, and courteous bunch - and I must say I was very surprised at how great this team are - Utility companies tend to be pretty difficult to deal with, but SP Energy Networks are truly bucking that trend. They are just amazing!

I had a complex issue with my septic tank, and needed to dig close to an electricity pylon. Stacey and Adam made this all very easy to deal with, and quickly arranged a site visit. This is important stuff, as dealing with electricity is very dangerous, and getting expert guidance from the SP team has been an important part of remedying the situation with the tank. Thank you to all at the SP Energy Networks team for making a stressful situation so easy to deal with. Best.Care.Anywhere :)
