Good company to deal with. Mark was fast with all communications and answered any questions I had. I requested for a slight alteration to one of the accessories that came with the kayak and that was fulfilled no problem. Fast delivery and happy with the kayak.

About 12 years ago I bought a Sea Eagle inflatable kayak from Spindrift. It was a great product, high quality. Over the years I’ve paddled it in the sea off the Norfolk coast near my home, on the Norfolk Broads, on rivers and canals in France, off the Brittany coast; loads of places. The kayak was robust and capable.

However, I finally managed to destroy the boat. I pumped it up to go for a paddle, and then when I got back to my campervan left it out in the hot sunshine to dry off without deflating it (the instructions that come with the kayak expressly warn you against doing this) while I went for refreshments. A couple of hours later I came back to a deflated kayak. The heat of the sun (it was a 30 degree plus day) had caused the air inside the kayak to expand, and that pressure caused the seams to come apart. I’ve taken the boat to a couple of inflatable boat specialists near home, and they’ve declared it non-repairable.

So, I needed a new boat. I’m the kind of person that spends hours researching before I spend money. In 12 years a lot more kayaks have come onto the market, technology has moved on. I’ve watched videos, read reviews, visited shops and sniffed the goods, before deciding that actually nothing came as close to my needs as the Sea Eagle.

I got in touch with Mark at Spindrift and told him my tale of woe. Now Sea Eagles usually come as a package; you get seats, paddles, a pump, little storage bags etc. You can vary the package, better seats, better paddles etc. I didn’t need all that, the accessories for my old boat were perfectly serviceable, all I wanted was the boat!

Mark was excellent, quoted me a very fair price for just the boat without the paraphernalia. Two days later the courier delivered it. Brilliant service!

Two things; firstly I’ve straight away pumped the kayak up at home to check it’s all ok (and after leaving it for 20 minutes just to make sure no leaks I’ve deflated it so it doesn’t go ‘bang’). Secondly, hey ho, there was a new pump in the box, better than my old one, so winner, winner. So I’m all ready for my camping/ kayaking trip to France next month.

VERY unhappy, Mark doesn't stand by his customers.
I bought a E propulsion outboard engine. There very poor quality and they are Only 1.8hp NOT 3hp as Mark states.
It's easy taking Money from customers but you see the true colours when the product has a problem.
Spindrift doesn't care about you....

I recently bought an inflatable kayak from Spindrift. Before buying it I called them up for advice and found this helpful - they were able to understand my needs and help me choose the right product. There have been a couple of minor issues with the quality of the product (not down to Spindrift) however Spindrift have been very supportive and responsive to help me resolve these issues. I will definitely buy from them again.
