Looks professional. I liked the template options. It was a learning curve to figure out some of the functions.

It was a great experience getting our information into a template that has resulted in a fine looking website. Looking at the many videos posted greatly assisted me in any stumbling blocks I encountered during the process. Our members concur that the end result is very attractive and will be easy to keep updated.

Absolutely ZERO customer service support. I am so disappointed that I went with Squarespace after shopping around for a domain and web service provider.

I'm stuck with a site I hate too much to publish and I can't even change the template...which is probably super easy but there is NO way to get help from Squarespace.

The "help" sections are woefully outdated and point to features or options that no longer exist. Even more frustrating is that every time you try to use the "help" features, you are asked to log in to verify yoru identity (and you're already logged in). Then you get into a loop of the site asking you to log in, then verifying that you are already logged in.

The chatbot is inadequate and the only other option is to hire a Squarespace expert. I fully support the gig economy, but I am unwilling to pay for support when these are simply tasks I should be able to perform on my own with very limited and basic support from the Squarespace platform.

I chatted with a live representative before I decided to onboard to confirm everything I wanted for my site was available on a template format. Unfortunately, the format I chose does not allow customization for pricing plans or the features I wanted for my online courses. Perhaps another template does offer those features, but I am stuck with what I have, unable to change to a different template.

Please stay far, far away from Squarespace if you want a stressfree experience.

Difficult to navigate to make a website. Once you start on a template you cannot change it to another one. Very poor customer service. You're basically left to figure it out alone. Unless you are a web designer you will have difficulty, especially with getting the mobile site to align correctly. Useless. Would not recommend
UPDATE TO THEIR RESPONSE: I have emails from your representatives stating that I cannot change the template once I start. I have also followed your tutorial on mobile phone alignment and it was not helpful. Very deceptive

It's a good platform but I sometimes wish some of the features worked differently or were more user friendly. I think that I shouldn't have to contact Square each time I have an issue. It should be easier to solve. For example. I can't make each page a different color unless I use a template and I don't get why. The same with the font colors, few if any choices. Difficult to maneuver.

The platform is easy to use, though to change to a different template is difficult, requiring the purchase of another website to be able to do so. There is no "current" and "future" facility for users. Squarespace should allow for the development (free) of a new site alongside the existing production version to ensure users' sites can remain current and vibrant.

I looked at several site builder apps and even thought of hiring someone then I found Squarespace! I got to pick my template out of the hunfreds offered and they really give you the ability / tools to make it your own. Ive seen websites from competitors and Squarespace blows them away. Updates are easy and instant, customer service is friendly and helpful! #squarespace4life

The positive about the Squarespace website is that it's easy for users. I wish there were more font choices, but otherwise, I've had a good experience with creating and managing my site.
I don't feel that the newsletter is as user friendly. I have trouble enlarging photos on the newsletter template I use, I don't like that I have to use my home address on my newsletter in order to not have it go to a junk file, and the editing process is far from intuitive.

A lot of template and color scheme to choose from too! Also the analytics page provide detail and enough information regard site traffic.

Highly recommend.

I recently converted my website to Squarespace and am happy with the choice. The template was terrific and flexible to work with (after some tutorial help) and, when I had an issue, customer service got back to me right away. Glad that I made the switch.

Buyer Beware...

1. They claim to service healthcare providers, but their sites are NOT HIPAA compliant!

2. You try to contact them and if you're lucky to get past the lame AI chatbot to speak to a live person, they don't even know what HIPAA is!

3. They are set up for companies selling PRODUCTS, not offering services. If you list healthcare services like populations served or conditions treated, they set the page up like you're selling a product, including price and quantity fields that you can't delete.

4. Once you select a template, you can NEVER change it in version 7.1. Instead, they direct you to some lame and confusing page on how to supposedly do a major revision of your existing template. Interestingly, in the earlier version 7.0, you COULD make a template switch...I guess they felt they weren't ripping off their customers enough (see #4, below).

5. If you want a new template, you have to take out a whole new subscription and pay for it up-front. I just ate $36 falling for this scam.

6. They ask you at the end of your "Support" chat, how they can improve things. My answer: go out of business!

I've been using Squarespace for many years and have built lots of websites with them. I saw these negative reviews today on Trust Pilot as a new client was worried when they saw them. I was quite baffled and sent Squarespace an email through their website to see how they responded. A human(!) got back to me in less than 20 minutes. I have asked SQ some really stupid questions over the years as I panicked over something or other and it was usually a internet reception issue not a them issue and they have always been helpful and polite.

It's template based web service - they don't actually build it for you - but they have so many resources to help you build a great website. If the quality of your products and photographs is good and you are able to line things up you will have a website to be proud of.

Some of the reviews here are outright nonsense, for example, the "payment scam" suggesting payment is taken when the trial has ended and the reviewer didn’t sign up with thousands taken out over years -
Squarespace lets you take out a trial for an unlimited time. It actually says on the website 'Sign up for your free trial, no card required". I have ten websites currently on the go and have never been asked for payment details until I wanted to go live so I don't understand that at all. I've also never had an issue with overpayment or cancelling on a site. They send reminders to the email you sign up with, you can remove your card details. Also who doesn’t check their bank statements for years?

I can't speak about interfaces with google - I don't use them but the other interfaces I do use work very well.

Other website templates I've used haven't produced the design results I wanted and were a pain to use. I highly recommend Squarespace for the creative industries because it's really good at what it does and sites look great.

I've been using Squarespace for years, but recently their customer help service has declined to less than zero. Squarespace is for folks who aren't website experts but if you have any sort of problem - design or anything - you will never be able to get through to anyone to help. For the first time in years, I am thinking of moving to a different template provider

My Squarespace website is 8 years old. It was made by a professional company on an 'old' template, and I've tried at different times to follow Squarespace's advice to switch to a newer template but it is a complete complete nightmare... Now you can switch from an old 7.0 template to 7.1 and that is just as nightmarish, if not worse... Squarespace charges me a leg for an old website which has no possibility of ever being modernised as explained above. I am extremely disappointed.

Today I am walking away from my SquareSpace account. I purchased an annual plan on August 30 and I’m losing $300.

There are 3 reasons for this: when I joined I was asked to choose a template to work with. I just chose something not knowing that under the new SquareSpace 7.01, you can never change the template. So I spent the next 3 weeks customizing what I was stuck with.

Then I wanted to set up an email provider so that when people signed up for my newsletter. The only choice I got was SquareSpace Email and MailChimp. SquareSpace Email is useless and MailChimp is overpriced.

Then the last straw was that since I’m Canadian, SquareSpace doesn’t automatically calculate shipping rates. What????? This has been a horrible experience and I am now thrilled to give my business to Shopify. Stay away from SquareSpace.

Squarespace has made changing layout to be very difficult removing standard features like compressed lists and creating design horror for my template - and help doesnt help.

Buyer beware - I've just had to cancel my subscription. You can no longer easily switch between templates/styles! The new version of the app has completely ruined Squarespace - you have to edit every page, every font, every colour, to create your website yourself. The new version is now a single template but you can't select between different styles (templates in the old version). Still states all over the web that you can do this easily, you can't. SS has basically removed the main reason why you would want to use their services. Such a shame.

My website, though it looks good, is not as functional as it should be as there are many glitches. I have been a customer for many years and now my website is suffering because the template is not up to scratch, but changing templates is a very arduous task- it should be streamlined. Square Space Support is absolutely dismal, for such an expensive product, they should be ashamed. Their website claims "Live chat support is available in Australia and New Zealand from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM AEST Monday-Friday." however it is never available. I feel like I am an idiot for continuing to pay for such poor customer experience, however I feel locked in now as I cannot afford for my website to be down.

I think Squarespace is very user friendly, beautiful template designs. Very intuitive to use. BUT if you are placed in Europe, 1 language and 1 valuta simply is not good. Neither the fact that you will be forced to me “married” to Stripe, when there are other cheaper options in your own country, OR like in my case Mobile pay is what Danes you now. I guess SQ is ok if you just want a website though. Not web SHOP. And they have NO customer care. Not even when your “house is burning” you have to sit patiently and wait for a chat. AND that chat is even difficult to find.
