I had a very poor experience renting through Squires Estates and would not recommend them based on my experience.
Throughout the tenancy and especially at the end, it felt as though Squires Estates and the landlord were acting in complete alignment, with little to no regard for the tenant. Legitimate concerns were dismissed, and when it came to the deposit, deductions were pushed aggressively despite the property being left in a comparable (if not better) condition than at check-in.
The process lacked transparency, and evidence was largely ignored. The way the deposit was handled gave the clear impression that decisions had already been made, leaving the tenant with no fair or neutral treatment. Rather than acting as an independent managing agent, Squires Estates appeared to prioritise the landlord’s financial interests at the tenant’s expense.

Overall, this was a stressful and frustrating renting experience, particularly around the deposit return. I would strongly advise tenants to document everything carefully and be prepared to challenge deductions if dealing with this agency.

This was, without question, one of the most unprofessional and frustrating experiences we’ve had with an estate agency. Over several weeks, Zac demonstrated a complete lack of organisation, accountability, and basic courtesy. Communication was erratic at best, with repeated last-minute cancellations and vague, shifting plans that left us entirely in the dark.

Despite his repeated verbal assurances that we would be the first to view a property, we were informed — just one hour before our scheduled appointment — that it had already been let. No apology, no explanation, just a dismissive message that made clear how little regard he had for our time or trust.

The experience was not only a waste of time, but indicative of a worrying disregard for professional standards and client care. This wasn’t just poor service — it was negligent. I would strongly advise others to think twice before engaging with this agency.

Squires Estates provided a decent service overall, with helpful and professional staff like Julius and others making the experience smooth. Their team was knowledgeable, respectful, and managed to secure a quick offer on a property. While the process was good, some aspects could have been better. A reliable option for housing needs.

I have been with Squires since 2020 as a landlord with a rental property. Having moved from an absolutely terrible managing agent, they have proved their worth in every way. They are fair, honest and excellent communicators. Alex and Sophie have been fantastic throughout the letting, managing a not so easy situation with great professionalism. Squires are the 5th Agency I've been with over 17 years. Frankly, none of others have come close!

Ari and Zach were very helpful throughout the process of moving in the Colindale area. Always quick to respond, same day viewings and immensely helpful in getting the agreement across the completion line. Friendly and professional, we can’t recommend Ari, Zach and the whole team at Squires enough.

We recently moved to a new home with the help of Ari and Lauren, who were great throughout the process. They were really quick to respond when we made a viewing request which got sorted straightaway. From then on the process was very smooth, quick and efficient and Lauren was really quick to respond to any queries.
We had an issue with a key which, once again, got dealt with by Ari in no time.
We are very pleased and grateful and we feel in very good hands as tenants.

We have worked with the Squires Estates in the year 2020 and 2024 for selling our family property. Genuinely knowledgable and professional team. We met Julius, Abby, Panikos, Vanessa and Ali along the way. All polite and wonderful people. The valuation they did was accurate and to the point but also was respectful to our expectations.
My parents knew Julius from before, and this year I got a chance to work with him directly. He is very professional, kind, patient and respectful. He wouldn't use extra pressure or words to manipulate, as he knows what he is doing, very comfortable to talk to. He shared his many years of knowledge of the housing market and status of the local agencies in that area openly and honestly. Real knowledge makes people humble.
He and his team actually could bring a genuine buyer very quickly with a firm offer. I wish I could follow their guidance sooner. Full confidence.
