Very poor customer service and app

Very poor customer service and the application is terrible. I can barely comprehend the 'customer service' people who call from unknown numbers, without introducing themselves, and make me say 'hello' twice before they respond only to ask me who I am. They then ask me to tell them personal information, which feels very uncomfortable. And finally they don't unlock my card or unblock the transaction I have requested. So frustrating. The application always opens with some nonsense alert that I have to dismiss about service interruption or whatever. It's overcomplicated and mostly adverts. So user-unfriendly and try getting a credit card, even with a great salary and employment pass. Joke of a bank so I am moving to another.

Standard Chartered was one of my worst…

Standard Chartered was one of my worst banking experiences. Even public sector banks do better. The bank can randomly change your privileges, and its an absolutely undependable bank. I closed my salary account with them and they have the same attitude with their credit card services, so I am considering closing that too. They automatically reduced my credit limit, even though my payments are timely. And don't have justifiable reasons. I would definitely not recommend this bank. And this is after we have a corporate relationship with them.

Pathetic Bank

Given the absolutely ridiculous and pathetic reason for charging me PURCHASE INTEREST of Rs1, 523.34 and a corresponding GST of Rs274.20 for a shortfall of Rs0.01(1 paise) in the payment of my dues, I decided to discontinue my banking relations with SCB with immediate effect.

I have requested SCB to cancel all my credit cards issued by the bank. I have also cleared all outstanding dues against these cards. In fact I have paid something extra because SCB as beggars and sharks need it more than I do.

I am writing to express my…

I am writing to express my disappointment with the services I have received from your bank. I had high expectations from Standard Chartered Bank Pakistan, but unfortunately, my experience has been very unpleasant.

After creating my account and making only 2–3 transactions, my account was suddenly restricted — even after I received my debit card. When I visited the branch today to inquire about the issue, I was informed that the details I provided during account creation were incorrect.

If that were the case, I would like to understand why my account was created in the first place and why I was issued a debit card and allowed to make transactions before being restricted. This situation has caused me unnecessary inconvenience and frustration.

Due to this poor experience, I have decided not to continue using Standard Chartered Bank Pakistan. Based on my friends’ recommendations, I will be shifting to another bank.

Absolutely worst experience ever

Absolutely worst experience ever. Have to go through hoops and loops just to get to customer service, website and app UX is just horrendous, app rewards are so difficult to claim anything worth, annual fees waiver rejected. I am glad to be cancelling my card. Good riddance.

Credit card misussed

On the 18th of August 2025, I realised that someone had misused my credit card. Once I received the notification of that transaction, I immediately made a call and reported the incident to standard charted directly, stating that my card has been misused. The standard charted staff immediately cancelled my card and applied for a new card. I was reassured that the case will be further investigated and I will be updated about the progress and results of the investigation matter. However I did not receive any sort of updates via a call nor e-mail. I called again to check about my sc mobile page, still displaying the misused transaction in my page. The staff said until the investigation, it will appeared there and will be disappeared once the case is solved and it won't come out in my e-statement. On 27/9/2025 I checked my e-statement and I still saw the misused transaction on my e-statement and the payment is a lot that I have to pay. I was really confused as I was promised to have updates about the investigation matter. I was not ready to pay for a transaction that I didn't do. 27/9/2025 I called standard charted again and the staff then decided to tell me to make a police report. Why am I asked to make a police report now, after so long? Why was I promised to receive updates about the investigation matter back then instead? Why wasn't I told to make police report if its necessary earlier instead, and we could have all avoided this situation we have right now.

Singapore site

Singapore site . Mobile app doesn’t work properly to enable overseas card usage.. I wrote 3 messages on it . Never responded. I rang their phone number for 24 hour service , went through the options, selected the correct one to press the number , met with “ error, good bye” five times . Wrote a long letter of complaint to the complaints team Received replies = ‘ we don’t recognize your email or ID from the email address as it is not registered with the Bank ( it is because I use it to log in ) . Utter failure of service . Now to the Financial Authorities in Singapore to get them fined and disciplined.

Terrible Experience with SCB Digital Banking & Customer Service

Terrible experience with the bank's customer service. There is none. Auto redirect to their app. Unable to access as the reset password is impossible with their digital banking. Did not receive any link to reset in my email despite following their digital instructions. Totally lousy. Time to discontinue with this bank -- Standard Chartered Bank Malaysia.

Zambia Standard Chartered Bank has gone to the dogs

Zambia Standard Chartered Bank is now absolutely rubbish. I’ve been with the bank for about 20 years now. They have absolutely deteriorated and even getting an email response from them is like trying to get water out of a rock. Utter rubbish! I cannot get my mobile banking updated for 2 years now. Emails perpetually go unanswered. I cannot physically go to the bank because I’m out of the country

Since 1998 i am holding Standard…

Since 1998 i am holding Standard Chartered credit card, for the last 27 years i have been very punctual every month due payment to be done.
For the last one-year banking service is very poor, my account several time disabled and while contacting them no proper answer, sometimes they are recommending updating profile. But through Bank app profile updating was not possible so i went directly to Al Ain branch and updated my profile. Two months after my account is enabled and i was using my credit card as usual. And July due payment completely credited online. August mid found my card account again blocked, while speaking to customer care there was no proper answer. Today from the bank informed me my card account closure is in process, i asked the reason but they refused to answer it, simply they say they don't know. What type of banking service is this very poor attitude even to a quarter century old customer.
