I only gave 4 stars due to MULTIPLE INCIDENTS of my background not loading on boot-up. All I get is a blank white background and I have to go in and re-select my image several times before the program kicks in and changes the background image.

I believe that, from every software created, there should be a Free to use version.
It would not be complete but, a private version and a professional version.

I bought a game which was advertised to have certain editing tool, the tool never came to the game, they later came up with a tool separate from the game which I wont use. I bought this through epic games and they say stardock needs to take care of this but stardock says f you, you bought this through epic games. I have 2hs logged in the game which I used to try and find a way to fix this. Now both companies are saying since I have 2hs on it its not refundable. So... will never buy from stardock or epic

I've been using it for a few years now and have not had any problems.

Deskscapes is intuitive, endless possibilities for personalization, and without the resource-hogging overheads desktop personalization apps often demand. Stardock has been at its game for a long time and keeps customer's loyalty by updating relevant components, like Deskscapes, Start11, Windowblinds11, Fences6, and worthy others that play nicely with the latest Windows operating system releases (even Preview and Insider builds) and can be licensed individually or as part of the Stardock Object Desktop suite that brings them all together at a great price point. The Company listens to its customers and pays them back with quality software and games discounted for loyalty. It should stand as an example to others.

This a great addition to your desktop, adding video support to desktop images as well as support for separate images/ video for multiple monitors.

can no longer access the program, Ive done updates, I believe that is my problem, should have known not to trust STARDOCK

Everything's OK until they do an update that doesn't work. You wait for them to do the update to put it right, they update, it doesn't work. You put in a ticket and the only response you get is to go onto a forum and ask, even though the forum clearly hasn't found the solution because you've already googled it. Next response is start your own thread. Clearly, I now work for Stardock! If only I'd have known I'd have charged them from the outset.

UPDATE: I left my computer last night and it was fine - came back to it this morning to see that all my documents had been thrown out of the fences areas and mixed up in the middle of screen (Fences were empty!). Yet another bizarre happening. And of course, with no one to contact and only a forum to wade your way through in the hope that someone has suffered the same problem and if they have it's been solved (which in the majority of cases it doesn't seem to be and people just give up). This app becomes more of a nuisance than an assistance the working day.

interface enhancements and solutions created by stardock usually contain anything from "ohhhh... that is better way to accomplish those tasks faster" to "that solution takes less memory and is more svelt in its implementation!"

It works great! although, I miss the old versions feature of taking you back to the last file you used as a screen saver.

well there are the times when deskscapes dont run at logons, and just shows white desktop background. i have to run deskfix.exe from the program folder of deskscapes to have it run and show deskscapes .

Love the many ways Stardock lets me customize my UI. I've been a user for many years and highly recommend it.
No more boring computer!

I've been using DeskScapes from Stardock for about a month now and it is very easy to use and a great place to find new background pictures for your pc. Some of them are very stunning. I have the whole Object Desktop and I like all of it

I love the vast number of options to animate my desktop. Cool. The app doesn't use computer resources at all, either.

Do not install stardock fences on your computer.
I tried it on a trial basis but decided to uninstall it and this is when the problem started................
Several times a day, every day I get a pop up stating.........ERROR: The setup files are corrupted. Please obtain a new copy of the program.
It seems to be a virus of some sort that is in the Stardock Fences program.

I love the active desktops only wish there were more to choose from.

As a long time user of deskscapes. 11 works just as a good as all the earlier versions, but, and there's always a but. It only happened once, I stalled it on my newly install win11 (version 8 didn't want to work) the background froze. The right click wouldn't even bring up the familiar configure menu. Had to reboot to get it working again. It only happened once so I hope that was it.
