Don't give out credit card details! On the site it gives you an option to delete your credit card, when you try to delete it - it says it can't be deleted! Scam. Avoid!

Stay away from this useless website! You can't call them they don't return emails and on top of it all they want to charge a MEMBERSHIP if you want to apply for ONE casting job. Guess how much $70 AUD! Why? For one job we don't even know we'll get just to find out information they are charging money? Why not keep it affordable for everybody. Why pay $70 a month for useless casting calls!

Hello , I am still in need of urgent assistance as for some reason since last week I cannot log into my account and when I try to reset password I never recieved an e mail in my inbox or junk & spam folders at all and this has been attempted 8 times
I am a star now pro member with elite and a top % member whom has just paid again in full for the next 6 months
One of your team e mailed back and forth but then I heard nothing else
Please can you assist me and get me logged back into my account as there are jobs I need to apply too and urgent messages I really must respond too

I would be grateful if you can help today

I was not told my account would be shut down. So I opened up a new one and paid again. To have that shut down too and left not knowing when it will be restored and a refund? I became so ill, as I suffer migraines and did not know it was happening to so many others too. Very shocked, that so many lives have been affected. Because to many, it is their income and life!

This used to be my go to site for finding talent and it is now unusable mess. Is there negative rating possible?

I have been using starnow for years. Wasn’t always perfect and hoot and miss with some of the talent. But it was effective and nothing came close anywhere else online. I have not idea why they would take a major step back with this new platform. The streamline version is gone and its so clunky.

Apart from that i lost almost 10 years of casting folders and information. The people who have been paying customers since the start were given no warning that this would be happening. It’s so off putting to use, im going to delete my account

Backstage buying out StarNow is a disaster for us StarNow customers, it's as if Backstage couldn't compete with its own clunky platform and decided to buy a useful, well thought out and user friendly competitor and fly their platform into a mountain! But don't worry, they've "up graded" us to the "Backstage antique farm tractor platform" with it's utterly useless search function and lack of relationship building tools. I desperately hope that they see the light and roll it back to it's original format. I firmly believe that this is a mammoth mistake akin to Coke changing it's formula, Bring back original StarNow!! (Or I'll be forced to cancel both my paid subscriptions to StarNow and Backstage!)

I have been a member of this site for 10 years
I am devestated they have distroyed my profile of over 150 images now there is 11 images not even top view ones just random shots from years ago

In the top 10 photographers for most of that time, now there is not even a section for photographers at all!

I'm so sad by what Starnow have done!! :(

Without consulting their loyal PAYING customers, they changed the website and didn't notify us that they'd loose all of our data!

I have been modelling and acting for nearly 10 years, I have recommendations, messages and all my years worth of work on there - poof gone!

I am willing to give them the benefit of the doubt to change it back to how it used to be, hopefully they'll see how many people are unhappy with this change. If they do not, I will have to cancel my subscription.

I have also contacted customer service multiple times and received no reply. So poor. I'm really saddened and shocked by all of this!

Such a shame as I used to always highly recommend Starnow to new starters within the industry....

There is really no star for this. Ive been getting bare emails from starnow went to look it up. I never looked it up i never signed up. This is all i could find on anything bad about the company. So not only dont sign up to starnow be careful of any spam emails from these man. Wastemen

New update has destroyed my profile and many others it seems. All my messages, applications and personal information has disappeared. When I search for new jobs, the results end after just a few and won’t find any more. Absolute joke of an update, was much better the way it was. I’ll be cancelling my subscription.
I think Showcast.com will be receiving my business in the future.

My son is a teen actor and we've been using Star Now for 4 years, up until a few days ago it was a great site.
Since merging with Backstage everything has gone downhill fast. My son's profile is an exact copy of his Backstage profile which we haven't used for 4 years. So basically Star Now have taken the lazy route and not transferred anything across. Years of information is gone and Star Now expect me to spend hours updating it. We stopped using the Backstage platform as it was useless in its search function and required unnecessary information to apply for a casting. Well Star Now you've lost a customer and I'm not the only one.

I lost my entire profile to the new update. Everything has been wiped and all the information and photos on my profile can no longer be seen or accessed. I've found it impossible to receive a copy of the information on my profile. Since the update, Starnow has been very difficult to contact. They've lost my complete trust and loyalty. I'm beyond devasted.

What on Earth have you done with StarNow? You bought StarNow and Mandy and decided to make it look like Backstage? StarNow was such a beautiful website! Gone and ruined it. I’m going to cancel my membership. It’s soo hard to navigate around the wannabe backstage themed site. Lost my messages, images, videos. Thank you for nothing. Sometimes things are best left untouched. You should have updated the outdated backstage and Mandy to look like Starnow. Well pissed.

They did a website update over the weekend, and all my messages were lost!
I now can't get in touch with a client about a shoot that is scheduled in just 2 days time! So looks like i'll lose this booking!
Lost all my contacts in messages as well.
Incredibly frustrating!

Some very useful features were removed through this "update" as well.

What has happened to my starnow . My whole portfolio is gone .I have had it for over 10 years . I’m pissed off . This morning I woke up and found just a picture of me . Everything isant there .

I am a member of Star Now for the past few years and find them excellent. I get plenty of work and have had no problems in dealing with them on any level. Amazed at the poor reviews so had to post this in response.

Joke off a company. You can’t cancel without emailing them. Then they ignore the email anyway. Absolute con.
Avoid.

Absolute rubbish there charge you a lot upfront rather than monthly because I don’t believe your put forward for the jobs you apply to.

The reason I say this is because I’m a member on other platforms like backstage and when I apply to say 20 jobs I would hear back about a few. Not the case with starnow

I have just been charged £29 for a service that I did not request. Although I cancelled my subscription, I have been told it wasn't within 30 days of the first subscription.

This seems to be a loophole as I cancelled the day after I saw the payment but I was a member in 2017. I am taking up the matter with my bank.
