The staff are friendly and helpful all the way through my MOT, they made time to fit me in and made sure i could pick up my car when it was good for me, they explained what was happening and how long it would take, when i waited in there office i was made to feel welcome and had a coffee.

I had the misfortune of using their Exmouth garage - Bentleys Garage for an MOT check up prior to my MOT due next month. When I returned the car was at the end of a trail of coolant although the counter staff pretended to know nothing about it at first. It transpired that they’d left the engine running for about an hour unattended and literally boiled the coolant. It was still bubbling when I arrived to collect it. Rather than simply apologise the staff were aggressive and combative and even complained that the coolant was on their shop floor. Yes old cars can have something fail at any given time but switching off the engine would have been a good idea. Since it was in the workshop it’s safe to assume they heard the fans roaring etc but they gave no explanation. Their report was a few words scribbled on a piece of A4 so we didn’t even get to know much although they did write ‘coolant leak’ so weren’t entirely asleep. I wouldn’t have been annoyed if they’d had the decency to be helpful or apologetic. I had a bad feeling about the desk staff when I left the car to be honest but I thought “what can they get wrong”. It was an unpleasant experience and left me with a repair bill too of course. I don’t mind about the repair so much since that’s just another old part renewed etc so that’s fine. It’s their dismissive attitude and rudeness that leaves a sting. I think if you don’t like people looking after their pride and joy and you work in an MOT shop - YOU'RE IN THE WRONG JOB.
