Stowe we're very helpful in what is a very stressful situation, divorce. I had a free conversation with a divorce solicitor to help me decide whether to proceed with that company and what tack to choose. They were very calming and explained everything to me. They arranged a few telephone conversations and we communicated mostly by emails. They kept me informed on costs as time progressed and were within the estimate originally provided.

I am extremely disappointed with the service I received. Despite paying over £3,000, I was left without a barrister at a critical stage, which caused me unnecessary stress and left me unrepresented when I needed support the most. I expected professionalism, transparency, and proper guidance, but instead I feel completely let down and out of pocket.

Joanna strikes a superb balance between offering the assurances you need when entering a process - trust, knowledge, experience, perspective etc - and the empathy required to sense the emotional support you need when in it. I am currently at the very early stages of this but felt immediately at ease with Joanna. Pace is being driven initially by me and at no time have I felt pushed to go faster. If anything, when reconciliation with my partner has entered as a potential development (as in my case) I have been encouraged to pursue with gusto. Instructed this Company to assist getting a financial settlement in place for my Divorce. Nearly 18 months on and absolutely no further forward found them unapproachable when seeking advice and information. More contact was made with their extensive finance department as they persistently pursued money from me to be held on account. No clear or consise itemised invoice was ever available. However there was never enough money held in account and in my view nearly £5k was spent for absolutely no progress or resolution. After spending all my savings I disinterested this firm and dealt with my husband's solicitors directly who turned out to be very co operative I am pleased to say we have reached a resolution with settlement in place and awaiting my decree absolute. That again I dealt with completely separately from this Company via gov website.
Stowe Family Law proved not to be helpful regarding my situation and are far more keen to take your money than give any helpful advice.

I spoke to a family lawyer at Stowe Family Law regarding the very complex area of divorce. I was a bit overwhelmed with the information I had in front of me, and they helped me make sense of it all so that I could move forward. It is a difficult area to navigate, and although I am very fortunate in the situation I am in compared to many, it was incredibly helpful and I would recommend speaking to them if you are in the early stages of navigating divorce.
