Specialists in Spray Foam Insulation removal.
Over 10 years ago, we had spray foam installed in the attic, between the rafters. It did improve the temperature in the house, especially in the extension, which had a separate roof space. The original company went out of business, but their guarantee was taken up by another company. This company asked Stratton Roofing to inspect the roof. New building regulations suggest that spray foam causes problems with the roof due to condensation. The only solution is to remove all the tiles , the membrane and the foam itself. They had to remove solar panels from the roof aswell.
The first step was to erect scaffolding, which required a separate payment.
A very efficient team from Stratton Roofing them came and did this removal and cleaned the rafters of remaining foam. They then replaced the membrane and the battons and the tiles. Many of the old tiles were reusable, but they did replace those that were broken. The team also replaced the solar panels and reconnected them. These now work well again.
They managed to do all this work within three days also cleaning up all of the mess that was made. The work was fairly expensive, but Stratton Roofing did a very high quality job. They supply a 25 year guarantee and a certificate detailing the work done.
Our bank did question the validity of some of the payments we made. but the company is very reliable and did high quality work.
