Where do I start

Where do I start! been with this company for 5 years, product WAS ok, customer service non-existant. I used Stream GB for my internet radio station and tbh while I didn't need any support, when I did I rarely got a response or in fact the help I expected from a host, for a service I'm paying for. Any responses or requests for support were replied with a link or limited dialogue. The best part for me was when my DJ's couldn't log in to go live. I checked the servers and found that I couldn't log in to restart the service either. After sending a ticket for support I did receive a reply, limited again, to advise that Centova Cast, who run the back platform, had done an update and that's why I couldn't access my stream. 2 days later I am then advised that I would need a completely new server address and log in to be able to stream again, Ok, no problem, however to then be told that all of my data that I had stored on the servers for auto-dj were lost due to the Centova Cast update. At this stage I was furious. I was never advised of the update that WOULD have been done in advance, surely Daniel would have known about this prior to Centova Cast doing their updates, secondly 5 years of music and stream data lost?? really??. Im no Bill Gates but surely any company working with data would be doing a back up way before any updates, in case of a problem??. If i had known at least i could have been prepared. Daniel didn't provide any support at all, to the point he ignored my plights for help. On the occasion he did reply he sent links, telling me to sort out the issues, which I expected for him to support as I am the customer and he is the host for the service I PAY for. I ended up spending a week trying to reconnect the encoder to Centova Cast for which there is a problem, you cannot connect at all and work is needed to re-estabish SSL connections but this can only be done by Daniel and Centova Cast. After many many requests for help Daniel took the decision to stop any communications so I gave an ultimatum of midday on the 28th September 2020 before I terminated. To date i have not had a reply from Daniel or even and apology for such poor customer service seeing as I had been a loyal long standing customer, poor show and he doesn't care about your problems and given the current climate and competition for this type of service I thought he would be on top of his game to keep my custom. The other important point to highlight - i was paying twice each month for the service due to PayPal auto payments being set up twice. I didn't realise this for over 6 months and not once in that time did Daniel contact me to advise of this, only when I picked it up did he bother to work out a solution. Anyway, I've decided to go elsewhere and advise anyone wanting to use this company, I would strongly advise YOU look elsewhere. The costs are high in comparison to other companies and tbh I found Citrus 3 a much better platform and cheaper then Stream GB. Any support I have needed has been on point, even had a technician remotely log into my servers to help set up and email comms is with an hour. I have been given a mobile app with my subscription and unlimited listeners for £20 a month, £10 less than Stream GB. I wouldn't have had to write the review if Daniel had just given me the respect I expect and have given this company over the years but as i have been let down so badly I cannot hold back any more.

Dan you know your the only service I …

Dan you know your the only service I would use as over the years you have always been brilliant at technical support and on the ball si I have nothing bad to say but please I don't want a £5 discount, please give it to someone that struggles and I can't ever say a bad word about you or your service :) Top fella Top service m8

Hosting fees are appropriate. Internet infrastructure is sufficient. Technical support is very relevant.

NOT ENOUGH TIME OR PRODUCTS TO REVIEW

I was going in under a trial to see the services and products of the company but they limited the listeners in the trial meaning I could not use it or I would lose my listeners... The only way is to run a totally separate Encoder for the trial which takes up my internet speed and connection. I went to another company that offered me 30 days free and unlimited listeners and we have already purchased a yearly plan with them. We have as of this date helped get them 119 new customers. My advise as a business owner offer a 30 day free trial unlimited I guarantee you will get more customers that stay with you then the way your doing it. One of your agents lied and said there is no way to offer more than 30 listeners on a trial.....wow

Wouldn't go to anyone else

StreamGB & Dan have been an absolute rock when it's come to the various stations I've set up, always quick to answer and always feel really looked after whenever I've had the pleasure of dealing with him.

I don't think I've ever had any downtime and any requests I've had are dealt with impressive speed.

I've even had chats with him about other non-streaming technologies - he's a very knowledgeable guy!

I've been with many streaming providers and StreamGB is by far the best, don't consider anyone else!
