Ref14290337. He rang to advise his arrival time. He inspected the damage, cleared away the mess and assured me the site was now safe. Told me what would happen next and timescale and gave me a card with reference details. Finally he opened the lid of a new jar of jam that neither my husband nor I had been able to move. Wonderful!

Very cool and skilled. Found the meter and checked it’s activity corresponded with our place using the special listening stick. Managed to find our ancient stopcoc with the metal detector. Dug it out there and then. Even managed to reach down into the void to reach the thing even though was up to the shoulder! All on a very hot day.
Then raised the job to get the tap altered to be more safely accessible for future usage. Thank you Stephen Taylor! (14276632)

Job Ref 14289048 - From the moment Nathan Smith arrived, the whole situation began to feel manageable again, despite the long 15 hour wait for Severn Trent which was no fault of his. What stood out immediately was his calm approach, his patience, and the genuine care he showed throughout.
He didn’t just come in and do a job, he took the time to understand everything properly, reassured us, and then got straight to work without hesitation. Seeing him get stuck in, quite literally down in the ground sorting the issue, showed a level of commitment that you rarely come across. Nothing felt rushed, nothing felt like a tick box exercise, it felt like he genuinely wanted to put things right for us.
Alongside Wesley, the level of professionalism and compassion shown was exceptional. They worked with real understanding, especially knowing how difficult situations like this can be for people, particularly the elderly or more vulnerable members of the community. That human approach made a lasting impression.
By the time everything was resolved, the earlier frustration had completely faded, replaced by genuine appreciation. Nathan and Wesley are exactly the kind of people who make a real difference when it matters most, and they set the standard for how this kind of work should be done.

I wanted to leave a review to highlight the brilliant service I received from Severn Trent.
After noticing my water bill had jumped from £37 to £83, I contacted them as we’d already been dealing with ongoing issues. Our housing association had previously sent subcontractors to carry out two CCTV inspections, but unfortunately nothing further had been done and the problem was still unresolved.
Kayleigh and Jake came out first and took the situation seriously straight away. They carried out their own CCTV inspection, provided a detailed report, and sent everything directly to my housing association. Thanks to their involvement, things have finally started moving and action is now being taken to get the issue properly fixed.
After this, I had William Dean come out to check my meter as I was concerned there might be a bathroom leak. He was very helpful and made sure to give me extra information and guidance so I could get as much help as possible. He also discovered that the meter reading had been recorded incorrectly following the installation of a new meter, which was really important in understanding what had gone wrong.
Even though we now have to move into temporary accommodation, it’s such a relief to know the problem is finally being sorted, and that’s down to their efforts.
Kayleigh, Jake, and William were all incredibly helpful, friendly, and professional. They gave us all the advice they could, nothing was too much trouble, and Kayleigh and Jake even offered for us to contact them directly on their work phones if we needed any further help or if they needed to speak to anyone on our behalf.
I also want to add that everyone I’ve spoken to on the phone at Severn Trent has been so helpful, understanding, and supportive throughout. If it wasn’t for Severn Trent, these issues wouldn’t have been getting resolved.

They came checked my manhole unfortunately they couldn't do nothing as it was a private pipework but the guys were advisable and told me to get in touch with my homing association
