Having worked in the coffee industry…

Having worked in the coffee industry (before retirement) I have struggled to achieve an acceptable milk texture for my morning coffee without the use of the steam wand of an espresso machine.
I stumbled upon the Nano Foamer and can now produce an acceptable coffee using my stove top for espresso and Nano Foamer for the textured milk.
Of course, nothing can beat the results from a full sized industrial espresso machine but I am satisfied with the results and (importantly) I still have my kitchen bench space for "kitchen duties".

Broken on arrival

After reviewing your case, it appears your unit had a rare issue with the magnetic clutch that drives the impeller. We aimed to resolve this as quickly as possible, corresponding with you daily over three days to see if a simple fix was possible. Because most issues can be resolved without a return, we always try to save our customers that extra step.

Unfortunately, your unit did suffer a manufacturing defect. Since the purchase was made through a third-party reseller, the return must be processed through them. However, the terms you mentioned—specifically the return shipping cost and the 4–12 week lead time—do not meet the service standards we expect for our brand.

We are reaching out to our distributor to investigate why this reseller is quoting such a long delay and to see if we can help expedite a better resolution for you.

My favourite foamer broke soon after I purchased. It.

I bought my nano lithium foamer less than two months ago and I take great care with all my things.
To my surprise the plastic part has snapped and i have searched yet been unable ( despite email sent) to find any help with this expensive purchase.
Sadly my review reflect my experience. With support and the fact I cannot resolve it without being able to contact someone in the U.K.

Delivery failed and lost my money

I was excited to try the nanofoamer paid 60 euros and the package results although it IS NOT. The company doesn’t respond in case of lost or stolen packages. 60 effing euros lost. Maybe their products are valid but the company is trash.

Appalling customer service and zero accountability

I ordered the NanoFoamer Pro with AU plug, but Subminimal sent the wrong EU plug version instead. When I contacted them, they refused to accept responsibility and expected me to pay for return shipping to fix their mistake — despite clear Australian Consumer Law protections that put that cost on the seller.

They’ve been holding my money while dodging accountability, giving scripted responses instead of actually resolving the problem. Their so-called “support” process is slow, dismissive, and unprofessional.

The product itself might work fine if you get the correct version, but the company behind it clearly doesn’t care about its customers once payment clears. Avoid buying direct from Subminimal — order through a reputable local retailer instead, where you’ll have proper consumer protection and support.

2nd update and reply to Subminimal

Let’s be clear — I purchased the NanoFoamer Pro directly from Subminimal’s own website, selecting the AU plug version. If their system shows otherwise, that’s a listing or fulfillment error on their end, not a “customer selection.”

I never refused a return — I simply stated that I would not pay international return shipping for a mistake that wasn’t mine. That is entirely in line with Australian Consumer Law, which places that responsibility on the seller.

The PayPal dispute was opened because Subminimal refused to act until I closed it, which is against PayPal policy and standard buyer-protection procedure. Once the correct AU base arrives and is verified, I’ll close the claim — as I’ve stated multiple times in writing.

Their claim that I was “insisting on two free units” is false and deliberately misleading. I’ve only ever asked for what I paid for — the correct product, delivered as ordered.

I stand by every word of my review. Subminimal’s customer service has been evasive, defensive, and dishonest throughout this process.

Our system, as does your own order confirmation email, confirms that you selected and ordered the NanoFoamer Pro (EU Plug version). We shipped the exact item you purchased; this was not a shipping error on our part. The order shipped exactly as it was ordered.

Upon hearing about the order error, we offered to correct and exchange the product, which obviously requires returning the item already received. You refused to return the unit and simultaneously filed a PayPal claim for a full refund, all the while insisting we still send a new replacement, a demand that would result in you receiving two units entirely for free by the time PayPal has refunded you. 

We quickly found a better solution for you by asking our local distributor to send you a replacement base that converts your unit to an AU plug version, yet you still refuse to withdraw your PayPal claim. 

We're good people and always happy to help; more importantly, we want to ensure our customers have the best experience with our products.

20 days shipping delay

My item was ordered 20 days ago and it still hasn't left the warehouse yet. The customer services's respond speed was extremely slow and doesn't give an explanation, solve the problem or offer refund at all.

Very expensive postage, £10! Plus, if you want to return it’ll cost you £15, so really you’re stuck with the item if you like it or not. Not easy to return either, shipped from abroad so international,

No customer support

I purchased a Nanofoamer Pro from Subminimal which broke after a few months of use, just displaying a "\" symbol on any attempted use. I reached out to Subminimal customer support through the only channel available (email) and have effectively been ghosted with no response for over a month despite multiple emails being sent. Their customer support is non-existent and judging from the other issues users have experienced here their products seem cheaply designed and prone to breaking. Don't bother with this brand, given how much they charge it's just a waste of your hard-earned money.

Don't have steam ? pick up a Nanofoamer.

I had started with the original Version 2 Nanofoamer, then upgraded to the Lithium. Having mastered the technique, these nanofoamers deliver textured milk to rival any good steamed textured milk on an espresso machine, and leave impressive results in the cup.

Most recently I purchased the company's 'Subscale' digital scales dosing cup.

With all their products, well designed, work well and elegantly packed.

The Nanofoamer is pared with my 9Barista for on the go.

Nanofoamer is a very efficient Product.

I have been using the subminimal nanofoa for almost a year now and absolutely love the product. The power and wand strength is really good which helps to froth the milk evenly. I have used it for non diary milks too and works perfectly. Once charged it runs for quite sometime too. Overall a great product and worth the price.

Mini Rolls Royce

Being very much used to my proper espresso machine, my coffee expectations are high. Getting a portable milk foamer which actually works and keeps the battery for quite some time, was a very positive surprise! I have been thru a number of other options which ended up being a waste of money, I really appreciate the NanoFoamer - surely with lithium battery :-)
