Company in Novi, MI was referred by my insurance company to repair damage done by water pipes bursting after freezing, Gene Capatina came out with an assistant who took pictures, Gene went partway into the basement, felt water in carpet. quoted a price of $100,000 for a $15,000 max job. The job was supposed to be billed to the insurance company. Workers came out next day, 3 trucks, with no definite time set and left before we could meet with them. Repeated phone calls were not answered and received a bill for the "free estimate" four months later. Ran into another Sunglo van at a different location and inquired about the company. Worker happened to be the nephew of Gene and said he used to work for him but Gene and his brother had a falling out over money owed and characterized Gene as a "snake in the grass" and to not do business with him. We would give no stars if we could. DO NOT CALL THIS COMPANY EVEN IF YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY REFERS YOU. IT'S A SHAME THAT INSURANCE COMPANIES WOULD DO BUSINESS WITH A COMPANY THAT WOULD INFLATE REPAIR COSTS TO RIP OFF INSURANCE COMPANIES AND THEN BILL CUSTOMERS FOR WORK THAT WAS NEVER DONE.
