Utterly Disappointed with Post-Sale Service
Last June, I purchased a Swiss Military Hanowa watch from TKMaxx, a model I really liked. It was discounted from £250 to £80, which seemed like a great deal at the time.
Unfortunately, my experience with the post-sale service has been terrible. Within the first week of use, the leather-look parts of the strap started peeling and falling apart. This was already frustrating, but I decided not to return it, thinking I could replace the strap later.
Not long after, while the watch was stored in its case, I noticed it had stopped working. I assumed the battery had run out, so I bought a new one and replaced it, but the watch still didn’t work.
I found the UK service contact through the Swiss Military Watches website, filled out the necessary forms, and sent the watch to them by post, spending an additional £15 in the process. However, the response I received was shocking: "We are the Swiss Military Chrono service, not Hanowa. You need to send this to another address in the UK. We can forward it for you, but you’ll need to pay the postage again."
To make matters worse, the Swiss Military Hanowa website doesn’t list any after-sales service point in the UK, nor is there any service address mentioned on the warranty card that came with the watch.
As it stands, I still can’t use the watch and have spent even more money trying to resolve the issue. Extremely disappointed and would not recommend.
