Great product
I've been using Switchbot Lock Pro for 6 months now and have only positive things to say. Easy enough to install, setup was a breeze and integration to HomeAssistant was simple. Perfect for building/door where you don't need any extra features and if you get it on sale the price is very competitive.
customer service is very bad
customer service is very bad. Nobody answering back for the last 3 days. I wonder if somebody actually works in there.
edit: they also sent me a second hand product because they don't have it in stock. So I paid for a new one, and they think they can give me a second hand product (without even asking me for a confirmation).

Hardware breaks just after two years, no coulance from switchbot
I have bought 3 switchbot blind tilts end oktober 2023 and I was happy about them. Then in early november 2025, just within 2 weeks after the warranty expired, one of them didn't work anymore. I have contacted support and, after sending a movie of the problem, they said it was a hardware failure. I had to send my contacts and order ID to get a replacement. When i send them, the only response I got was: It is 2 weeks out of warranty , wish you all the best and hope you have a good day..
There is no coulance for the fact it broke just a few days after it was out of warranty. I expect for these things that they last a little bit longer then just two years.
for me, never switchbot anymore. if this is the way you treat you costumers.
£100
I brought a switchbot 20 robot cleaner on pr order.from their website, with a three-pound off few days later it was been sold with 400 pounds off. been trying to contact them ai says you can not cancel order after 12hours. Would not let me speak to a real person..have emailed them and messaged
Review from a Heavy Apple HomeKit User
I'm a five-year user and genuinely impressed with SwitchBot.
Their products are incredibly creative. I love how I can automate my old light switches and curtains with simple, not expensive devices and can integrate with Apple Homekit.
The price is fantastic, but the functionality is meeting almost all my needs.
Customer support is responsive and helpful. Good CS adds real peace of mind.
Switchbot curtain 3 was amazing
Switchbot curtain 3 was amazing, absolute game changer and support was fantastic!
Purchased the switchbot smart switch…
Purchased the switchbot smart switch now and what an excellent bit of kit! Really easy to set up and control an outdoor light remotely on the app - on and off using the same switch. Fantastic and look forward to buying more products.
Great products!
Bought the Switchbot curtain rod 3 type 1, Amazing device with every installation method included. Clear guide, easy install. Quiet opening and closing when using the Switchbot app. Only downside is that the quiet mode is not yet compatible with google home.
Switchbot Lock Ultra
Got a switchbot lock ultra with keypad to replace my dead (very old) August. Super easy to install, and having the fingerprint scanner is a game changer!
Super quick to come and great service. Highly reommended
5 stars for SwitchBot! Never had better…
So, this is gonna be a quick review cuz I just wanted to share my experience, honestly I can’t understand those bad reviews. So to start off, I first ordered my Hub Mini around two weeks ago off Amazon. Next day it arrived. The unboxing and setup was quick, I really like how simple everything is kept, even the packaging. The hub mini felt great in Hands and like that quality Plastic, not that cheap thin plastic. (Maybe it’s interesting for someone: the Plastic is more of like a warm creamy white color, it’s still white but in comparison with my wrapped desk, that I accidentally wrapped in a cold white tone, the Hub Mini is more of a warm tone)
So, now the setup: it was really easy. Just connect the cable to a power brick and wait for it to turn on. Then you can go to the SwitchBot app and press on the + and not even 5 seconds later the device is found and ready to pair! I also connected it to my home WiFi through the app and then did a „quick“ update of the firmware (~5mins depending on the WiFi speed). When everything was done, I could instantly add my remotes. It took about 3 mins for each remote to set up and pair all buttons, it would be quicker with the automatic function but I did it manually because I didn’t need all buttons.
Now I can use my IR lamp and Beamer with google home! I really like the integration with all the Apps (Google Home, Alexa etc.). Important to say is that this isn’t the Matter Version, but I don’t even use Apple Home for my Hue lights so it doesn’t matter.
What I noticed is that even tho you can dim the IR lamp via SwitchBot app, Alexa and Google can’t dim it. But it’s not that big of a deal because 1. I don’t need to dim it daily and 2. I will replace it with a smarter lamp. But still, the hub mini is a great little thing especially if you are planning on getting their Sensors or the SwitchBot Bot, which personally I am gonna get.
I don’t know who needs to hear this but this version still uses Micro USB. It’s not that big of a deal but still. But I actually think that the Matter version has a USB C port.
Last but not least is the support. It’s really, I mean really really good. You can contact them via WhatsApp, Insta, email, everywhere. They answered me with almost no waiting time via E Mail, on WhatsApp there was some waiting time.
All in all I really liked my experience and will definitely get more products of seitchbot. It’s just the Quality you get for such a low price in comparison to other brands.
But yeah, I’ll give SwitchBot 5 stars from my side. I def see potential with kall the development currently happening.
I'm amazed....
I'm amazed by the quality products sold by Switchbot. Originally I just needed a security camera with built in battery years ago but I became addicted with the brand. They have some seriously cool tech and I now have their vacuum cleaner, more cameras, LED lights, switches, hub, remote, sensors and I don't even remember what else. Going to be get the doorbell too soon. When I encountered a problem with my outdoor camera after contacting customer services I received reply within a day and a brand new replacement product for the faulty one. No issues with the other switchbot products so far. I can highly recommend buying from them as they seem to think outside the box. Just look at the easy method of fixing the outdoor spotlight cam to a wall. The shape is just good. Reminds me of a good old Walt Disney series. Regular offers, discounts make their products even more appealing. And no silly subscriptions just micro SD which is awesome.
A True Smart Home Partner
The reason why I like the products of SwitchBot is that the price and quality are very well balanced. Also, the fact that they have a wide assortment of different smart utilities in one ecosystem is a big thumbs up for me. The app is easy to use, and the fact that they partner with Home Assistant made me smile even bigger.
For the moment, I have the Hub 2 and Hub 3, S10 Vacuum, Lock Pro, Doorbell, socket plugs, curtain openers, contact sensors, some bots and outdoor and indoor meter. All of these are working amazingly well. Also, the support is very helpful. If something is not working, they try to resolve it with you and replace it without question if they deem it broken.
All in all, this product line is definitely worth a 5-star rating.
What I really like about switchbot is…
What I really like about switchbot is the capability to use local api’s so that you can connect to devices from home assistant.
The Switchbot Hub 2 has allowed me to…
The Switchbot Hub 2 has allowed me to use and control devices away from home. I have specifically used a Switchbot switch to control my irrigation system when on holiday i.e. only water plants in dry periods. I also have a doorbell/camera which can be monitored from afar. The app interfaces have been very easy to use.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Fantastic device — smooth, silent, and beautifully designed!
This is already my second SwitchBot Radiator Thermometer, and I plan to get more for the entire house. It’s fast and smooth when changing the temperature, and it works perfectly within the SwitchBot ecosystem (I hope it will also get Home Assistant support soon).
I've contacted support due to recent app issues, and they have been fully resolved. The technical support team was absolutely amazing, quick, professional, and super helpful.
Highly recommend!
Easy to use electronics
Easy to use household electronics for control, comfort and monitoring.
The mini-hub is central to accessing switchbot accessories remotely but also enables setting up automated routines eg turning on lights at preset time or interval after sunset, closing curtains when outside temperature rises above a preset level. In addition, the mini-hub can be programmed as remotes eg for TV, video recorders. Simple to install and easy to use.
Great products!
Been using switchbot product for years and they are great quality!
Easy to set up, app is really functional, and no connectivity issues whatsoever.
Automating things is a breeze! And I really like that they are "renter-friendly" with most of their products. No need for complicated installations.
Do not buy direct if from Canada
Do not buy direct if from Canada. On a $46 item I was charged $15 delivery. Later I got an email request from DHL for $20 in duty fees. So $35 delivery fees for a $46 purchase? They did say they would reimburse me all they needed was my name, address, and full banking information, over email to a Chinese company, no thank you. Update they changed there mind and were able to refund me.
I paid for my switchbot devices
All the Switchbot products I have I have paid for. I started with the Lock and touchpad fingerprint because I wanted 1) fingerprint 2) affordable 3) connectable to my smart home ecosystem and this or the Aqara were the choices but Switchbot won over simplicity of install.
That lock worked so well I got another one. Then I got a switchbot bot. My LG dryer developed a fault with its water sensor and the dumb LG design means that you have to take the dryer apart because they didn’t design easy access to the condenser (fix in later releases of the product). So all I needed was something that would press the button manually on the dryer remotely. The switchbot bot is this magic finger and has been working fantastically for months now.
I’ve just gone and ordered the presence sensors as I have faith that they will work and they seem better spec and priced than Aqara.
I dislike that the devices are bluetooth but I guess that helps with the battery durations. I had to get a couple of Hub Minis to make the remote stuff work (which it does). Ideally I’d like to give switchbot 4.5 stars but if the choice is 4 or 5 then they’re closer to 5.
