As good today as back then
I live in the UK and have been flaring brake pipes using Sykes Pickavant for almost 50 years. My God, the prices have gone up. £50 for a small coated steel brake pipe cleaning tool! but when you put it on the end of a coated steel pipe in situ, and it cleans off just enough for the flare for the pipe to look like new to get a perfect flare using the coated steel pipe die, the £50 does not matter. The quality is still in a league of its own. 50 years I have checked for leaks and have never had one using quality fittings. Thanks to my older brother showing me how to flare pipes from the start. If you want the best you have to pay for the best and when it comes to brakes, the peace of mind is priceless. The Flaremaster SS is not a small tool to use in situ but copper, nickel, steel pipes, effortless.
