Although I live in Swansea I choose to use this thoroughly professional company that is in Cardiff.
I have dealt with this company about 5 years ago and they were fantastic. Recently, I purchased a second-hand car that needed adaptions. The The work took a long time but I was 100% confident throughout. That 100% confidence was fully justified. On top of excellent workmanship, they are really nice people with an excellent ethos. I thoroughly recommend them to you.

We were extremely happy with our installation which was very complex due to the fact that our car was a new model with significant structural changes from the previous model. The hoist was required for 2 different mobility scooters that were very different in size and design. Craig met all the challenges that arose as a result of all this with great patience and ingenuity. He was very pleasant to deal with and was prepared to put in the time to make sure the hoist met all our requirements. Thank you Craig

Very good service. Employee came to my house to explain and demonstrate the product. They then returned to fit the plate on my driveway once they had taken delivery.

The fitter turned up at the dealers with the wrong part so this caused a delay whilst the correct part was ordered. * Fitter brought a ball to be fitted, a lollipop was requested.
The fitter then arrived at the car dealers to fit the correct part but fitted it in the wrong position on the steering wheel.
On the plus, a fitter was then sent to my home address to reposition the adaption, which meant I didn't have to take the car back to the dealers.
In addition, the lollipop adaption wasn't the one expected as it did not have buttons for windscreen wipers.
In all a disappointing service from the installation company.

The company and institution engineer were helpful professional how ever the initial hand control unit was faulty and dangerous and had to be replaced.

If there was an option for zero star, I would have chosen that. They don’t deserve any star.
I’ve done the assessment in May 2023 & the car order was done in August 2023, but I was told the assessment was done in November 2023 by someone I never met or talked with before, which I realised some information documented was incorrect and not exactly what was agreed on during my assessment, that reflected exactly the adaptation that I needed with correct measurements.
The most horrible company and the worst service provider concerning vehicle adaptations. Very argumentative manager, who didn’t take my inputs seriously. Very poor installation for the foot pedals and they left holes which compromised safety.
Wrong boot hoist irrespective being told the maximum weight of the hoist (100kg)that I needed, they installed 80kg hoist. After backwards and forwards with Gareth, eventually the technician who came realised that I was correct all along.
The hand control was installed on the wrong angle which was contrary to how it supposed to be based on the assessment I had & the information I provided to the assessor, they put it few inches away, which was very hard and painful to use, which at the end of the journey I had a painful hand & shoulder pain. When I asked why it was done like that, I was told it was done like for the event when someone apart from myself decided to drive the car it would be comfortable/easy for that person, they didn’t look at the fact that I am the main driver is not for someone.
Horrible & dangerous transfer plates were installed which I didn’t need, especially for the car I have.Obviously were recommended by their assessor who never saw how I do the transfer.
They cut the seat panel and left dangerous sharp edges and ends which are another hazardous feature that they left. It makes transfer process a scary nightmare. My clothes are getting ripped out and yesterday I even sustained a skin tear, thank God it wasn’t a deep cut but I am at a risk of having one if doesn’t get repaired.
The day I received the car was the beginning of my unending nightmare.Instead of getting excited and enjoy a new car, I’m enduring stress and don’t care attitude from AIC. It’s only 4 weeks having the car and they promised to sort it out quickly but so far nothing from them. I phoned them Gareth keeps on telling me that he’s very busy and he has been dealing with many phone calls and he’ll call back and give me the update about my order but nothing, forgetting that they are the ones who caused the mess. No empathy at all. My concern is not important to Gareth and AIC but other people’s phone calls that they are receiving, probably they enjoy the misery that I have to endure everyday having a car that I’m scared to use because of being afraid of getting injured.
If you are in the East Anglia, AIC is the company to avoid if you are looking for the adaptation to be done on your vehicle, unless if you can endure to be tossed around and accept to be treated like a non-entity.
It was my first experience with them and I will never ever use them again, I’ll go back to the previous adaptation company that I’ve been using for years.

A few months ago I asked this company to organise a way to lift a wheelchair into my car with a lift I had bought from them. It was set up for a mobility scooter and I needed a fix to lift a chair. They repeatedly promised to phone me back with a solution when they had "spoken to the engineer" who for some reason was never contactable. Eventually I gave up in frustration. Now the matter is urgent. I can't get through to them because of "high call volumes". This is just unacceptable.
