Very disappointing stay at Tallink Hotel in Riga
We booked and prepaid our double room more than two months in advance, but were given what appeared to be one of the smallest rooms in the hotel, facing the inner courtyard with a view directly onto a wall. We asked at check-in for another room and asked again the following day, but were told this was not possible.
What made the experience worse was the lack of service. We were informed that the room would not be cleaned during our four day stay, but were told that fresh towels, toilet paper and rubbish removal could be provided on request. Despite asking several times, this did not happen. When we returned to the hotel late in the evening on 25 March, nothing had been done, and we had to go to reception again to get basic items ourselves.
