Not impressed

I’ve travelled round trip with Silja Stockholm-Helsinki. First trip the suer smell in the cabin was disgusting and on the way back didn’t have any shower gel or soap in the bathroom.
The cabin also lacks nightlights, the only switch is by the entry door.
Not impressed at all as it’s not cheap to travel with Silja.

Good service changing tickets

We’ve had several good experiences traveling with Silja Line. This time I had somehow booked the ticket in the wrong direction, and I only discovered on the same day as the departure. Called customer service, and they changed it in a minute with no extra charges. Great service!

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!

I used the Tallink Webshop to purchase some skincare. I got a confirmation that they had received my order and that the order would be delivered 5-7 days after confirmation. It has now gone 37 days and I have sent a ridiculous number of e-mails asking where my order is. Most e-mails just remains unanswered but I once got the reply that "it sometimes takes up to 10 days" but at that time more then 20 days had already passed. Then suddenly I got a swish for 90 sek but without any message. What on earth does that mean?! My order is for 1,183.00kr so it cannot be that it has been cancelled. Today I got a new order confirmation sent to my e-mail and that I had ordered something for 1,193.00kr wich is not correct and that this order is expeced to arrive in 5-7 days.
I dont know what on earth they are doing at customer service!!!
I'm still waiting...

Pleasant to travel with Silja Line

Travelled many times from Riga to Stockholm in different types of cabins. Everything is very nice. I love the views from the upper level. Activities for kids. Nice duty+free shop. The staff is very pleasant. The breakfast is fantastic

Only positive experience

During the COVID had to book a trip back home, had to call them. Staff are very friendly and helpful, everything were explained really well. Fast and smooth transaction, and a pleasant trip home.

Also often using their web-shop. Really fast delivery even got a gift couple of times. Ordered 10+ times and not a single mistake from their side!

Terrible overpricing

The service is okay, but the website is terrible. If you cannot call them then you are screwed or have to pay a lot of money for no reason. I just needed one ticket in a shared cabin unfortunately I cannot book it online (at least I didn't find a correct way to do that) I can only book it when calling them... And nobody could tell me a normal answer. Giving 3* only for a good price while traveling with friends and cleanliness of the ship.

Rules too strict...

I am really upset about Tallink Silja ( Which holds the sabaton cruise )!

I wrote with them about bringing my little brother to the cruise, as he really wanted to go, but sadly there is a 18 years age limit.
I wrote with them, and they said he could go, if he was accompanied by a parent.
Sadly, my parents dont listen to sabaton, nor do they attend to the cruise, so i asked if it wasnt enough that i was the responsible adult, being responsible for my brother, and also told them that we are a group of 5 adults aged 20, 20, 21, 22 and 32, and that i naturally wouldnt be consuming alcohol.
ALSO! i said that i could get a signed agreement from my parents, that they allow him to go with me.

Their cold answer was: "If your parents wont go, he cant go"
I must honestly say, that i feel that is really bad of Tallink Silja. I get that there is a age limit, but if a child can go with the parent, why not with anyone else?
I honestly feel that ive been really badly treated by their customer service, when all i wanted was to give my sabaton happy littlebrother another experience of his life.

Shame on you, Tallink Silja!

Misselling of noisy cabins as A-class …

Misselling of noisy cabins as A-class cabins

They sell you A-class cabins with very much noise. These cabins should be E-class (where they warn about noise). Their emplyees admit this misselling, but the company dont care about this and they dont care about complaints. If you want to sleep in the night don't go with Tallink Silja Line. .

Very poor customer service.

Very poor customer service.
The announcement to clean the rooms was at 3 pm yet we arrive in Stockholm at 6 pm. A friend was not feeling well and we all decided to have a rest. Room service was so rude when she walked in. We asked her to come back within 1hour but her excuse was, this is the last room and you had the announcement. First of all, it was not the last room, we could see other rooms even being cleaned at 17:55, then she was rude. I understand you want to use the same boat for the next customers on the same day but you can not start chasing us out even before time. I would rather I know at hand the check out time when I book not after and the only thing you care about is the new customers you are getting. This is not a way to treat a customer.

Customer is always wrong!

1. Sold the cabin in an area which was heavily under construction
2. Tried to convince to stay in that cabin
3. When I refused, downgraded from "A Premium" to "A"
4. No compensation was offered onboard - was adviced to contact customer services by email
5. Customer services refused to compensate, claiming they have different opinion about the whole situation

Generally, the attitude from the service stuff has been rather rude, this is definitely not customer' oriented company
