It is now 6.30 on the day I was…

It is now 6.30 on the day I was supposed to get a dresser delivered between 2 and 5. I cancelled something important to be home between those hours.
What I find inexcusable is that no one had the decency to call or text and let me know what’s going on. I realize that things have a way of happening with deliveries and that it’s not the store’s fault and that the delivery is probably outsourced. However the lack of courtesy on everyone’s part will ensure that I will NEVER shop at this store again.

Bad experience - fridge

Tanguay sales man sold me a frigidaire fridge. After 10 months the fridge started making noise like the compressor was working overtime .
À tech came and told me they sold me a a standalone fridge that was not meant to put in a hole (surrounded by cabinets) and the solution was to move my fridge or buy a new one …
Went to Tanguay to complain and the sales manager wanted to resend me the tech … I asked them if they had a customer guaranteed satisfaction and they said no .
I’m stuck with a fridge that sounds like a plane from time to time and is less than 1 years old

Went to the one in granby and was there…

Went to the one in granby and was there for almost 30 mins and no one came near us, employees were to busy talking together than make a sale. 2nd time I have attempted to go buy something there and because I we are English we get ignored. We will just go to the brick where services is handled correctly.

Bad Tanguay customer service

Bought a Hisense fridge in novembre 2024 at Tanguay. 8 months later, the freezer door doesn't close properly. We lost food.
We contacted Tanguay customer service. They told us they will contact Hisense and call us back to schedule a tech. That never happened.
We open a service call directly from Hisense web site.
Nobody from Tanguay or Hisense perform any follow up.
2 weeks after, we call back Tanguay and perform a follow up with Hisense. Tanguay said: We will send an email and let you know. Hisense simply said the technitien is waiting for parts. But no technicien came so which part they need? 2 months later, we still not have any feedback from Hisense no more from Tanguay.

Currently both Tanguay and Hisense have the worst customer service we ever had to deal with.

Defective Dryer, No Resolution from Tanguay/Sécheuse défectueuse, aucun suivi de Tanguay

I purchased a new Maytag washer and dryer from Tanguay in September 2025. The dryer has never worked properly despite four service calls. The technician confirmed it should be replaced, but Tanguay refused and sent me to Whirlpool Canada. A complaint has been filed with Québec’s Office de la protection du consommateur.

Acheté une laveuse-sécheuse Maytag neuve chez Tanguay en septembre 2025. La sécheuse ne fonctionne toujours pas malgré quatre visites de service. Le technicien a confirmé qu’elle devait être remplacée, mais Tanguay a refusé et m’a dirigée vers Whirlpool Canada. Plainte déposée à l’Office de la protection du consommateur du Québec.

Tanguay cure Labelle !

Tanguay cure Labelle !! Worst service ever. The host asked if we wanted to see a sales person . We said yes 20 minutes pass and nobody came to ask if we needed help. We looked around and then passed near the hostess and literally looked annoyed and was on her phone told her that nobody acknowledged us and said oh really I can find you someone. She said they are busy with other customers the salesperson were talking to each other . Not even looking at customers! Horrible horrible service. Would never go there again!

Wrong ordered stuff received

Ordered a coffee machine then receive wrong color, called back for exchange, first call was cut automatically and second call was picked then I was told that I called wrong number the first time. The agent feel no sorry to their mistake and take me take long to order a new one and made me feel that I should keep the wrong one and pay for their mistake. I feedbacked my real feeling in a normal tone and the agent insisted that I’m yelling at her and give a lot of excuses. The I received a claim ticket but in wrong category. From the beginning until the end of the call, I feel very uncomfortable for their attitude. Hopefully I can get my right order soon. No any will to purchase from Tanguay for their poor after sale customer service. I have to say when I put the order through the phone call, the agent is very nice, knowledgeable and experienced, but for the after sale customer service department totally no recommendation.

Bed DYNAF QUEEN SIZED weathered oak. RED FLAG

I bought a queen sized bed at end of November. Installed by their people. Had to dismantle the first week of December as the off gassing of materials used to construct bed made me very sick. Of course their policy is any item to be returned must be in original packaging which was taken away by the men who installed bed. Right now dismantled bed is sitting in my shed. If I could have given a minus star it would be my rating. Unable to understand why such toxic product is on market. Do not buy this item

Freezer door not mounted on left side

The Freezer my wife and I selected for our needs was the Midea model# MRU1482ASL.
Our salesperson stated that door may be mounted on left side inside of right side and also that this adjustment was to be done by the delivery people. When delivered on Mar. 15/25, the delivery person stated that they do not do this and that I should contact a technician at my own cost.
Contacted MIDEA and requested the door reversal. Company stated that on this model it can’t be done.
Any yet inside the freezer is the supplied door hinge for the left side??
On same day, my wife and I went back to Tanguay in Kirkland to speak with the salesperson.
He was not there that day but we were directed to the Manager of the store. The manager stated that a technician would call on Monday (17) or Tuesday(18) to schedule an appointment.
On Mar.17/25, I received a call from a representative at Tanguay store. The woman I spoke with informed me that the door reversal should have been done at warehouse before delivery. She also stated that someone will call to rectify the situation; or I could do the door reversal myself!!
The original salesperson called on same day. He suggested that I make an appointment with their recommended technician, pay the bill and then send the bill to Tanguay for a refund. I refused to do this and requested that he or Tanquay contact the technician, do the job and pay them. Salesperson advised me that he would look into it further and call me back. He called back and stated that the Midea advised him that door is not reversible. My other option was to return the freezer and make another selection. Instead, I called the recommended technician, appoinment made morning of March 18, door attached to left side (functioning), paid the bill ($86.23) and requested refund from Tanguay. Refund issued ($114.98) by Tanguay through salesperson. Tanguay issued an addition amount of $28.75 for all my troubles. Some compensation. I discovered this morning that Midea is an American company and I should have bought Canadian.
Suggest: Buy Canadian and I do not recommend Tanguay for your purchases.
Tanguay is formerly Brault & Matineau and EconoMax and Liquida Meubles.

Ordered washer dryer all in one beginning oct 2024 told would be delivered between Nov 8-14 didn't come called end of nov told dec than told Jan 28th today will call and will probably be told Feb been going laundry mat for 4month now wasting time and money I paid in full when purchased in oct so beware don't make my mistake and trust them keep your money customer service not helpful just blaming manufacturer

Wasing machine disaster.

As per other reviews I have read (unfortunately only after my own disaster), the in-store service was great, after that, complete disaster, scam, fraud - sent me a washer that does not work properly. They are willing to send me a repairman - which they say may or may not be at my own cost.......but I don't want a machine that needs repairs right off the bat. I want what I paid for, a new machine - that works! Almost impossible to reach anyone by phone unless you have an hour or 2 to wait for someone to answer, and the salesman doesn't answer any more messages. If you want to buy something from Tanquay - don't. Go somewhere else. They don't even install, just dump the merchandise and leave. Never even told me I would have to get someone to do it, but salesman insists that he did tell me, which is a lie. Go somewhere else and save yourself a lot of headaches and wasted time and money and effort. Karen

Hopeless Product and Customer Service.

Fantastic customer service at the store. Very impressed. However, the product and the service is a complete disaster.
The product arrived and the table does not elongate. I was patient and waited for a replacement. The replacement arrived and does not elongate either.
Not interested in any Tanguay products. Zero Value. I asked for a return and reimbursement. Customer service cannot tell me when a superviser will call me back. I have setup my Credit card to dispute this transaction.

Terrible, and will NOT recommend.

Ordered cancelled without refund

Ordered an item, they cancelled without a refund. Instead they just labelled it as 'delivered'. No tracking, no delivery. Either extreme incompetence or trying to scam their customers.

Brand new stove broke after 1 month - 3 weeks without a stove, and still counting...

I have no stove for what has now been 3 weeks. The stove was new, received in late June. After a month, the stove broke while I was boiling water. First time the technician came, he did not have the details even though they were sent to Tanguay prior to the visit. The second time he came, he had ordered the wrong part. So I had to stay home from work 2 times now and still, I have no stove.

Tanguay says it does not compensate for the inconvenience. Yet, it's recognized that a stove is an essential piece of household furniture, and in the meantime I can't enjoy my home because of Tanguay's fault.

Very disappointed with Tanguay's service. 100% would not recommend.
